Thank you for this HIGHLY INFORMATIVE video. I really enjoyed how this was put together and presented. It was educational and also showed that with drive and determination you truly can get to where you want to be in life. Crystal Reneau is a beautiful woman as well.
The standards were lowered so women could join. Which means we don't even have the best men anymore. That is not a net positive for emergency services. When did Western civilization lose their minds?
Congratulations to this Lady, she is intelligent and is an athlete. It is a fact that in my Country ( the UK ) they have drummed town the physical requirements to be a fire person. Yes we do have front line females on the front line ( actual fire fighters ) but a lot transfer to back room careers.
Standards were also lowered in the USA. No woman was able to pass the physical aptitude until Brenda Berkman sued and won. She was later fired for being unable to perform her work duties, so she sued again and won again, causing the standards to be lowered once again. There were men who failed the same test she performed. Emergency services should always maintain the highest standards. If that means the profession becomes exclusively male, so be it.
They should put this lady through the same strength and endurance requirements as a male and no short cuts or replacement. Because this profession ain’t something to be fair, this is human lives you deal with.
They go through the same testing and training process as everyone else in the hiring process and academy. In this field everyone brings something different to the table, but all go out there and give their lives for others. That’s what ranks are there for. To bring the team together and put players into position. It’s a field of brother/sisterhood. Sounds like you’re either very uneducated about this field or just being very arrogant. I hope it’s the first.
@@vanessaguerreroo Sounds like you know alot about what it's like to be a firefighter, I sure hope you have experience in this field and not making up stuffs. I think it's the latter tho.

Watched a few LAFD female fire fighting cadets training as I waited at a red light by the station headed from dtla to gardena driving local. These little women could barely handle a ladder much less rescue a person in a physically demanding situation. No discrimination here, just physics.
@@Holyfanz Fair enough. How about basic biology? Lives are at stake here. Sometimes a person has to come close to death in order to be snapped back into reality. A man almost died because a woman firefighter couldn't move him more than three feet. Then came along a 6'4" tall male firefighter and carried him out in 15 seconds. Male firefighters must secretly resent their female colleagues. They could die and never see their families again because "Becky" from the city was told by Hollywood and the music industry that she was no different than men. We also see this inclusion madness happening in police departments. Sadly I believe that it's too late for the West to regain its sanity. Telling the truth has been sexist for some time now. That word has the same psychological effect as calling someone racist or transphobic. An accusation of that nature could result in employment dismissal. So we're forced to sit here and let women play as cops and firefighters in order to protect our livelihoods.
No one is arguing that…. They are desperate for people period. They aren’t choosing her over men. We know women can’t perform at the same level that’s why guys get paid way more….. but if someone wants to help let them help. But I respect and love every firefighter out there and I know you guys hold up the whole world for people on their worst day
Such an inspirational video, my 3.5 year old was so happy to see a female firefighter. She's obsessed with the fire department, and now more because of you
Please be honest with your daughter and tell her that if she cannot lift and carry a 200lb person then she should not do the job. Brenda Berkman lowered the standards in the 1970s. She sued her way into the fire department. Then she was fired for being unable to perform her job duties. So she sued again and won for a second time, causing the standards to be lowered again. There were men who failed those tests, and they didn't sue.
Of course not. This is simply a publicity stunt. She is getting paid inflated money to point out "woman are just as good as men". Total disillusioned and out of touch with reality.
cops and firefighters get paid extremely well in the states... £36k thats what teachers make here which is extremely sad,, America really loves "heroes" unfortunate teachers aren't considered among them..
@@kangjhha Teachers aren't heroes. I know we are supposed to say they are, but it's not true. Education is memorization and recollection. Students are taught how to operate the levers and pullies of the systems which are owned and controlled by the one percenters. What is a medical student other than a big pharmaceutical pusher? What is a history student other than someone who was told by his professor to believe a certain historical narrative or he wouldn't graduate? My parents offered to pay for a full ride at college. Considering the cost of education, that was an extremely generous offer, but I had to decline. I had seen what the education system did to the minds of students and graduates. Group dynamic behavior and peer pressure keeps everyone in line with the establishment. There's a reason why most students and graduates are leftwing. There's a reason why most of them cannot debate to save their lives. Taught what to think, instead of how to think. There's a video on UA-cam of a professor deprogramming his students about the reality of BLM. It was painful to see so much cognitive dissonance. The title of that video is "Statistics on Cop on Black Crime". I doubt the students spoke much about it after class. Most of them are liberals and have to believe the original BLM narrative. How's a young male college student going to get a girlfriend if the ladies think he's a "racist" conservative?
@@kangjhha Teachers are not heroes. They tell students to memorize information. That's it. There's nothing heroic about that job. The definition of hero does not align with teacher. They wouldn't train to become firefighters if the pay was bad. Besides, she is most likely dating or married to a man with an equal or greater income than her own. So take $91k and multiply it by two. She's doing just fine.
EXACTLY. This kept bothering me every time she repeated it. No need to say things like "male firefighter"; "female racecar driver"; "male nurse"; "male stripper"...jobs aren't gendered.
didnt they lower standards in training so they can feel empowered? shes like 110lbs (plus "60+ lbs of gear").. imagine her trying to drag a 220lb male out of a window
They must have and that's the reason why she doesn't refer to herself as " firefighter" she said " female firefighter". She's probably very fit but I'm sorry. The thing is even forcible entry which is a basic firefighter skill requires a lot of strength, I'm a former sapper commando and we learn those same techniques. A female under 80kg can simply not generate the sort of strength and leverage required to breach even a standard door.
They didn’t. Which means it’s exactly the opposite she had to be in absolute beast mode to make it through the CPAT- then Academy and then regularly keep it up because of the job.
Umm okay lol , not sure where you gather this information from or if you know anything about fire department operations, but As a firefighter myself, I can tell you that my tasks, duties, and assignments are not different than that of my crew, Matter of fact, in my department we rotate ridding positions, apparatus we ride and even fire houses based on the need so during my career I’d be assigned to do everything there is todo in operations. I can also tell you that there was Nothing different about my entrance testing or academy training besides the fact that had to work my ass off so I don’t have to listen to people like you say shit like this. I absolutely enjoy reminding people who either are really impressed Or really surprised that I can do my job that ITS MY JOB people don’t get and keep jobs they cannot do. So even if she “made it in” on a test that was adjusted. It doesn’t change the weight of the ladders we have to carry and throw, or the gear that she has to wear while carrying tools and climbing a ladder or whatever her day in operations looks like. So any organization making a decision like that is doing a disservice to its self, its employees and the community they serve and that’s unfortunate.
Many career departments require at least EMT-B. A few will hire you with your EMR, provided you then enroll in classes to get your EMT-B. Paramedic is preferred, and comes with a larger salary from the start... that being said, enjoy patient care.
Correct. It does differ by state. Minimal you'll find is EMR Certfication. Some states or areas may not require it so i can't speak for the entire U.S.A. anyway.
@@RomanWar731Paramedics in some places are run by the county and make less than Department EMT's only on the buses. Some counties in which this happens do pay more as well though.

Identify as a woman to increase your chances. Become the first trans firefighter and someone will make a documentary about you too. A man lowered his car insurance rate by claiming to be trans lol. Identity politics. For her entire life she was told by Hollywood, academia, politicians and the music industry that there was no difference between the sexes aside from reproductive organs. It's highly unlikely that she can lift and carry an 150lb person. Most of her male colleagues can probably do it. Law enforcement are also victims of the inclusion madness. Crystal's male colleagues must secretly resent her. She wanted to play as a firefighter and now their lives are at stake. They cannot say anything because telling the truth would result in job dismissal.
I don't think she needs to tell everyone she's a female firefighter. Women started becoming firefighters back in the 80s. The FD I was part of had over a dozen women firefighters in our three stations.
lol I agree. It was a little odd she said “I became a female firefighter…” I thought she meant she transitioned at some point so I was confused 😂😂 And the reason that women are underepresented is because they don’t ‘choose’ these careers and they don’t generally meet the requirements as easy as men do.
I’d still would prefer a male firefighter if my house was burning down. But sure, she’ll be better than nothing. I guess it’s still nice etc.. a calming addition. But she won’t be as good as a male when it comes brut strength.
If she wants to help let her help. A man almost died because a 5'4" 130lb woman firefighter couldn't move him more than a few feet. Then came along a 6'4" male firefighter and carried him out in seconds. Reality is not sexism, nor is reality racism or any other Ism or Phobia. Inclusion shouldn't be a consideration when lives are at stake. Imagine if that man had been your son. Sometimes it takes an extreme event to snap people back into reality. Men and women are different. Those differences should be acknowledged, celebrated and applied in the most logical, reasonable manner.
Which did you do first? Be a female or become a firefighter? I was on the job for 28 years. I worked with some awesome capable women. I worked with some that weren’t that great. I could say the same for men. Enjoy your career. It goes by quicker than you realize.

@@Your_dads_account She is enough for something for the things shes enough for. There's no need to make her think she can climb Mt. Everest if it's really that much of a struggle either. Focusing on your weaknesses is one thing. But your weaknesses should be little tweaks that you know you're capable of but just haven't gotten to them yet. Not things that are completely beyond you. That's delusion.
@@Optim40 its unfortunate that youll continue to have this belief until a woman comes along and saves your life someday in a housefire. As someone who works in a fire department, women and men firefighters are both trained to the same level of physical capability and perform under the same levels of stress and adrenaline. The women in firefighting are tested on their ability to carry the same amount of weight as men and the belief that they are incapable is completely outdated. Women in firefighting have saved many lives and newsflash, their gender hasnt held them back from doing that.

Men that are more capable and physically stronger than her were overlooked so she could be hired. Do you think she can carry a 200lb person by herself? Are her male colleagues capable of doing it? Lives are at stake here. Imagine your son or daughter dying in a fire because inclusion was more important than reality. Sometimes it takes an extreme event to snap people out of their delusions.

Stations are safe havens for newborns to be dropped off no questions asked. Who would be better at tending to the baby first, male or female?
Is Northern Ireland diverse? Your nation made international news recently because of diversity. It's really sad to see it happening.
@@kangjhha Teachers are not heroes. They tell students to memorize information. That's it. There's nothing heroic about that job. The definition of hero does not align with teacher.
