    ABOUT NEW AMSTERDAM
Inspired by Bellevue, the oldest public hospital in America, this unique medical drama follows the brilliant and charming Dr. Max Goodwin, the institution’s newest medical director who sets out to tear up the bureaucracy and provide exceptional care. How can he help? Well, the doctors and staff have heard this before. Not taking “no” for an answer, Dr. Goodwin must disrupt the status quo and prove he will stop at nothing to breathe new life into this understaffed, underfunded and underappreciated hospital - the only one in the world capable of treating Ebola patients, prisoners from Rikers and the President of the United States under one roof - and return it to the glory that put it on the map.

I am so happy to see Tyler Labine in a more serious role.
It's mostly been comedic roles, simpler roles, and i get he has a very friendly face and great for comedy, but i always felt he would do really great in a serious role, a dramatic role, and something like this, serious, working with kids, also still a bit funny, almost too much, but it fits seen the work he does and the people he of course has to deal with every day.

He reminds me of Dr Charles of Chicago MD. The same kind of accepting and caring nature in a non-threatening package. I find I'm drawn to men who show this kind of wonderfulness.

I admit that I watch this show online from the very first episode and I really like the show. For me it's very well written the acting is fantastic. The relationship between the psychiatrist and the girl is fantastic she is a very angry young girl I can't wait to find out what her back story is about why she ended up there.
I also really like the Chief Executive of the hospital he really cares about the hospital and its patients and trying to fight to get what is best for his staff, hospital and patients while fighting cancer and keeping it secret from his staff a secret he won't be able to keep for long. I hope this show makes it to season 2.

Are you kidding? Flailing and screaming do not a good actor make. Over acting seems to be her MO , especially in this scene her anger seems very disingenuous and put on tantrumy There is very little nuance in her emotion on screen but granted it is a VERY poorly written character. Maybe I'm just biased against her character as it is either not believable or i guess there's always the possibily she's just like that as a person...(🙄) well she doesn't act like a 16 year old with problems she acts like a 9 year old with problems. I mean what 16 year old looks for a home like theyre still in the stagevwhere they might finally find a loving parent? Its too late? , most damaged traumatized 16 year olds pretend to be tough enough to make it on their own. My wife had had a job for 2 years at that age. This character Is the wrong age and the actress acts out the part as if you gave a 9 year old the direction "be angry"

Yikes, learn punctuation. This reads like a meth induced rant that you wrote at 3am.
