actually i think the vtec cam is only on the exhaust side, but also the built in manifold is amazing for boost with less lag.
@Dan S this is the last si that has intake vtec. After is turbo only a turbo motor or exhaust cam or both like the type r. 8th gen (k20) is the last high revving vtec motor that we'll probably see for a long time. But this is still true vtec
Hahaha does anybody els notice him covering his license plait when his in front of his car talking about it, and in the video he shows fotos where y oh can clearly see the license plate and in some videos you can see it as well so I don’t know why you cover it 😂

I’m looking at a 2013 si right now are these any better than the 2008s this would be my first si ever ?
Derek Quinones better torque so daily driving the 2013 is better, but if you want the high revving engine get the 2008
Really thinking about getting one of these or a 8th gen. Just want a comfortable daily that I can track
8th gen - higher red line, very little torque in the lower power band, better power potential than the 9th
9th gen- lower red line, better low end torque, daily purposes I'd say 9th gen is better
@@abc.garage I haven't experienced high redline yet. My DD atm is turbo charged and I'm used to high torque. Next week I'm getting a prelude

Nice video but I beleive you can do skunkk cams with different lobe ratio and high oerf spring retainer connecting rods
jay czyzyk No cam upgrades for the K24Z7. This engine sucks lol. The integrated head design limits exhaust flow so you really cant do much to the motor like you can with the K24a’s from the 04-08 TSX

how are the 255's in the front? any rubbing when turning?
I run aggressive wheel specs in the front (17x9 +25) so I needed -3.3 camber and rolled fenders to clear the 255’s.

Need advice anyone please??? I can't decide between a 2012 Scion Tc auto, 120k miles or a 2012 Honda Civic LX w Manual Transmission, 88k miles. I like the idea of a Honda with lower mileage even though it's slow and not sporty look. The Tc is faster as far as hp goes and looks better than the Civic LX but the 2 doors might make car insurance higher. I just want a fun daily, driver car and yes, I considered a Civic Si but they're out of my budget and most are high mileage or heavily modded. Let me know your thoughts??? Thx

Francis Nguyen I put that kit in my 2000 Miata, I am planning to get a 9th gen sedan soon, stoked to see it fits this car! Guess I’ll buy it again.
Cpnick22 Morimoto just came out with version 8.0 of their Mini H1 kit (I have version 7.0). Its supposed to have less of a step in the cutoff and also a more blue line at the cutoff!

Yung Tarantino Depends on your fueling settings + other paramters in Ktuner or Hondata. If you ask your tuner to make your car run a little rich to induce pops, they definitely should be able to do it. I get an occasional pop here and there if the car bounces off the rev limiter when Im pushing it at the track
You've shown you're willing to throw good money at it why not go with a supercharger?
Trev Lesh Bc you dont need a supercharger to have a quick and reliable car on the track 🤣🤣🤣. More power doesnt equal faster lap times at Socal racetracks

Eddie Castaner no rub in front if you run -3.5 camber with a 17x9 +25. If you go too low you’ll have to roll the front fenders
