Awesome setup and attitude towards a build. Well setup chassis that's light and turn key reliable. Everyone thinks they want a monster build with a ton of power but this is what would be best to actually own and drive. Props to having power steering and a brake booster.
Subbed because of Ryan’s build. I am shopping for an egg hatch shell to do this exact track build. Really want to pick his brain on the transmission gear ratios and final drive but realistically I am probably years from needing that information. Great help here thanks for the video!
I just traded my Porsche in on an Fl5 because I just need a quick Honda in my life. Traded my 99 Cobra in on a 00 Si, then got an Rsx s, 2 eg hatches , an ek hatch, then raced Superbikes, now I'm back in a Honda seat and couldn't be happier.
Love the channel. I had the pleasure of meeting Ryan a few years back at buttonwillow. He save me tons of money and time . Even told me a good starting point with tires trans setup and what diff to purchase. Keep the engine stock as possible work on suspension and driving . Keep it fun!!! Last time out I ran a 2:01 . Sub 2 to come this year I hope .
Thank you Raymond, and yes! always good to have someone that had experienced it before, and learn from their journey. Looks like you are just one to two track days away from reaching a big milestone, if you are on instagram, please be sure to send me a quick dm when you do! Thanks again!
I’m still in love with AEM. V1 can start like stock you just need to put in the time to learn it or find somebody that knows which might be hard these days. I agree Hondata is great for staying out of trouble and not getting in over your head.
😂 he’s running a piece of floorboard for the Front splitter… I didn’t know Mojave had a junkyard for aircraft parts, though. I gotta go check that out. I live in Cal city
In first, shout out to a fellow StarQuest owner! Loved that car!! Had an EM Si, have a 996 Carrera that I love. I’d love to hear all about each build this guy had! Where can I find more?
Right on! Ryan is on instagram (link on description) but Im not sure if he has all of his previous cars posted. Although, Im sure if you start a chat, he will fill you in on alot of the questions. Man would love to have a 996 Carrera!
Guys... I don't hate the B series... they just aren't relevant in road racing anymore compared to K... I do love me a proper B build don't get me wrong but they are belt driven... just saying
I’m so sorry Ryan, I just realized I misspelled your last name on intro 🫣 it is too late to change but when we do our follow-up, I will make sure to get it Right

@@JNAMOTORSPORTSmost would agree B16B is not the worst engine. Far from it. That engine earned the nickname "bullet proof" for a reason. These new "car content" by the younger generation of creators are too much into pocket watching and not much on the car because these kids don't know anything. But for me when he said Ryan was too busy in 2009 to build him a harness, I had to leave.
@Sub2club because in 2009 Ryan wasn't making harnesses by himself he had people working for him by then. Dude should have said he was cheap and went with a Chinese tuned harness. You ain't gotta lie to kick it craigg
@@L-ot5fs I see what you mean. I need to verify this with Novak but maybe he was talking about doing a custom wiring for the entire car. Either way, I get it. My 93 EG will always be my baby.
92-95 Honda Civic EG Hatchback for the win! Best civic hatchback ever made in the WORLD!

I had a 92 hatch with a full GSR engine, tranny, chassis swap in 02-03! It was a beast.
It’s crazy that people are still into this chassis as much as in the 90s-00s!
Every time Jim, just absolutely ridiculous! The best! Best of luck to you and Steph! Love to all the boys too!

“ryannovak” thanks for making this vid, such an insane build
Out of this whole build, the windows being poly, got me the most excited.
