Genuinely awesome video! I really liked the section of testing a frame perfect pause! Interactivity like that is super cool! And I think you did an awesome job of covering the different types of RNG and how they affect runs.
How Speedrunners Beat The Odds
I have at best a casual interest in speedrunning, but the way you explain a variety of tactics and end up connecting them to science and philosophy is fascinating
I genuinely thought that this channel had 200K+ subscribers since the video quality was so high, amazing work, hope your channel gets bigger soon

What were the odds of me watching this video? Quite slim, I'd have to say!
Thanks for the random act of infotainment!
13:27 timestamp for interactive part :D
Cool video! I like how you choose interesting examples in speedrunning
First time I've ever had a UA-cam video be interactive. Fantastic job man!
Amazing vid
The lottery bit at the beginning and the Risk analysis at the end were particularly fascinating
Very fun watch, happy to see you upload again!
Miss your videos
While this isn't the first time I've seen a youtube video use "pause the video at X time" to represent frame perfect inputs, this is the first time I noticed that, for whatever reason, sometimes it was just taking a notable amount of time before actually pausing, and IDK if its the YT player, firefox, some extension I'm using, what, but RIP anyways.
The frame timing segment has me convinced that there's a good chunk of input lag on pausing UA-cam videos. No way I'm always like 5-6 frames late
The number of trainer ID combinations in pokemon games before sun & moon is 65536, not 99999
13:45 I couldn't believe on my second try I stopped it in the right spot twice in a row. I literally said "no way" out loud to myself. My wife looked at me like I was crazy and now I feel dumb. Please tell me I'm not the only one that actually tried the frame perfect stop more then once. 😔😯😆
TIL Ocarina of Time is secretly Dampé's inferno
people speedrun monopoly?
don’t mind me just commenting to help the algorithm boost this vid
i literally stopped the 30 fps wheel first try. i dont even know how. but i guess thats what happens when you speedrun smb1 and frame perfect loses its meaning. us smb1 runners really be saying "its only 5 frame perfects" lol.
How humble
@@limehawk4989 thank you lol
Absolute Ripper
Babe wake up, new OtherRuns video dropped
great vid, algorithm bless this channel
lfgggggg i hit all of the green regions in a row at 14:04
unalienable gang, rise up against this guy
Fyi the video you got the toad factory music has an error where it loops early.
24:36
You say Error, I say that I really needed a longer version so it was a happy little accident :)
Not saying it's easy, but I was about 50% on the frame wheel. Not a speedrunner at all, just a god gamer
LEZGOOOOO NEW OTHERRUNS VIDEO ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Seven extra men at the beginning of every go...
Another excellent video!
I really liked the part where you talked about How Speedrunners Beat the Odds. Keep it up!
Of all things to speedrun, why a board game?
Because it’s funny
You got a point@@Wyattporter
Why not
You’re telling me…pokemon runners play the whole game frame perfectly?!?
