A harp is essentially just a skinless piano 😭😭 piano is a string instrument in disguise
Edit: I apologize for my wording, I understand that piano is considered a percussion instrument by the way that the strings are not plucked but pressed, I just meant that piano has strings, but isn’t in the same category as a harp.
What I really meant is that a harp is essentially just a skinless piano with pluck-able strings. If she just taps the strings, that would be closer to a piano.
They consider is “percussion” cause the hammers strike the screen, technically true but it has double the strings then hammers

@@pandaspanda5976 nah. no clue what the guy you’re replying to said, but the piano is percussion because you press down on keys, which starts a mechanism that hits the strings.

@@AmazonRiver248 i’d say it’s a percussion. since a harp is basically a skinless piano, and it’s a string instrument, the piano which uses hammers to hit the strings should be classified as percussion. though it’s classified as both percussion and string, we should all just decide on it being percussion, make it more simple

You should try an eBow or a regular violin bow on the harp, might sound good if it works

My son had the opportunity to learn the harp this school year and he absolutely loved it. His elementary school is a STEAM based school, and this year for 4 and 5 grade, they introduced creative arts as a selection along next to band and orchestra. And a harpist happened to volunteer her time to teach the kids how to play the harp every week!
