A couple tips from my experience with making green smoothies are: 1) Just add the leaves from the kale and remove the stems if you don't like the bitterness the harder kale stems impart on the flavor (include the stems if you don't mind). 2) Use frozen bananas, grapes, or other frozen fruits and skip the ice cubes. The frozen fruit will cool the smoothie with out making your smoothie watery. 3) Use a variety of leafy green veggies like swiss chard, spinach, and beet greens to add variety and get a more complete nutritional profile from your greens. 4) To make your smoothie creamy, add other fruits besides banana like mangos, avocados, strawberries, etc... for variety and nutrition. If you just use this recipe, it'll get old fast and variety is the spice of life when it comes to flavor.
Just made my first one of these..Used two dashes of cayenne. I suggest one dash for most, but I am a bit bold when it comes to heat. It tastes fine, and I plan on having one every morning starting today. Good healthy stuff., no doubt.

Even in small quantities this category of foods can cause higher levels of pain. As a person with Lupus, I eliminated nightshaded 3 years ago and it has made the difference between being confined to bed with pain and able have a more normal life.
Dr, I love kale and this shake sounds great, do you know about a shake for inflammatory problems ( my intestines are very swollen) that doesn't cause gas, and helps me with energy, protein, and doesn't gets me constipated, if you know please share!!!!! Thank you

Dr. Josh in this video you say that vitamin K is the glue that binds calcium to your bones. Please correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is that it's vitamin K2 from foods such as Natto which help bind calcium to your bones and not vitamin K1 which is found in leafy greens such as kale.

Buy all ready cut-up kail and freeze it. I hike 5 miles in 1.5 hours 4 times a week will that kail shake keep me energized throughout my hike?

Alex You need a better blender. Mine blends kale and spinach easily. Even while frozen.

May be replace the grapes and banana with lemon if on keto. Perhaps a teaspoon of cinnamon would be ok too.

i eat over 5000 mg of potassium a day and i do not eat much veggies at all infact most of my potassium comes from is my daily big bowl of watermelon!
