- Hey love! In this week’s video, I’m showcasing my current twist out routine. Can you believe I haven’t done one all year?! I was happy with the results, especially since I now have a curly cut, so I hope you like them too. I also open up in this video about some of the “mean girl” shenanigans that went down during fashion week, and how it made my feel. Not to mention some of my current struggles. First off, RIDE OR DIE LOL! Chile I haven't done a twist out in forever! Wash n gos, just give lol! The hair is giving as always!!! One thing I know, and love about you sis is that you're so welcoming! I remember us meeting, and being so excited to see each other! Like I was so excited, cause you recognized me from across the street, and I ran to hug you! Literally the best part of the day!
As a person who's more in the dance, and literary industries, whenever I walk in the shows, go to the events, and the after parties, I just feel so overwhelmed with the energy of the people! Like we're all excited to be here, don't be fake, cause it's not worth it!

The “curl enhancing smoothie” has never worked for me due to the high glycerin content and my living here in swampy New Orleans: the humidity in this town is no joke! I’ve had great success, though, with the Mielle brand “twisting soufflé”: You might wanna give it a try for those high-humidity days where you live. Love you bunches!

Most sisterhoods are a fallacy. And I’m saying that as someone with great girlfriends. I’m sorry that was part of your experience. Honestly, I’ve stopped following MOST influencers, femininity content girls, etc because I can tell these women are mean lol. All you have to do is look at how they respond to people in comments and behave! A lot of them are not who they think they are anyways. I’m that girl in real life💜. I don’t idolize or live vicariously through their lives. I think part of this is why these women still have a following, yet they treat their following/ anyone who they may deem as beneath them with no respect.
Ugh! Girl tell me about it. I’m definitely supportive of other influencers, but we aren’t dumb. We can read between the lines on who is/isn’t genuine. I’ll never understand creators who are rude to their audience, being nice to them is the LEAST you can do. If you didn’t have an audience you wouldn’t have a platform 🤷🏾♀️

Your twist out came out beautifully. I wish i could do them but i'm just not good at twist outs. I would have loved to attend your retreat but i recently bought a house and I am furnishing slowly so it is not the best time financially. You are wonderful and an inspiration and I am not sure what other people's reasons are for not signing up but it is definitely not a reflection on you. ❤

I can usually get a lot of definition without gel for a twist out, I think I may need to go back to my other one. This was good but since it was humid it didn't hold as well as I expected.

Unfortunately as a black girl when you go to some social events, it be the other black girls that are mean to you. Sigh. I watched a lot of the NY fashion week content and noticed some girls were kinda shady towards each other. Like posting pics or video with people but not mentioning the person or tagging them. (Not talking about people in the background) I felt sad about it cause why cant we just be nice to each other. Anyways, your hair is lovely per usual.
