It came out very pretty!! I first went natural back in 1996. So from 1996 - 2008 all I used was oils, essential oils, and creams. I never used gels back then. I would keep the twists for at least 4-7 days and then twist out for 4-6 days. I had no knowledge of UA-cam so I only learned from books, my mother, and inner inspiration. But for the past 11 years I was loc’ed, so I fell out of the loose natural hair movement. Will now I’m back! I cut off my locs over three weeks ago and loving my new loose natural hair again. So much as changed in over a decade. My newest video will post in just a few minutes, please drop by sis.... stay blessed pretty lady!!
Sis I'm learning to twist my hair and I'll be so glad when I get it down to a science. Yours turned out so beautifully compared to what I do lol. You did an amazing job.
This was so so helpful! Thank you for this! My boyfriend has 4c hair & has been interested in different styles, so I’ve been watching a ton of these tutorials to help him in his hair journey & by far this is my favorite! My hair is 3a on it’s best days, so I’m starting from scratch in this process, but I’m so excited to learn!
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot my password. I love any tips you can offer me!
Hi Aisha! #Quarantinelife brought me here as I’m having to do my short natural hair for the first time. 😩 I usually wear protective styles such as box braids or Senegalese twists. Or I just throw on a wig! Well I absolutely LOVED this video! You made it look so easy and simple! I’ll be trying this for sure - I just ordered the don’t shrink gel! Definitely subscribed today as well! Thank you so much for clear and simple, yet quality content! 💕
Im glad I ran across this video because I did twist out before and it was an epic fail as well. Now I know what to do now. Thank you. Gel is very important
I really like this. You made it seem so simple. So the question I have is how do you maintain the style for the next day. Do you re-twist before bed or sleep in a bonnet?
~I Flat-Twist mine and tie it down with a Silk Wrap Scarf. Upon waking, I Untwist/Reshape and Spray with a light weight Sheen (oiling my scalp is part of my wash routine)~
@@AishaBeau Hi Aisha Just so I can follow your steps correctly Hair milk/ tame maintenance/ gel ? You put all three in individually brush in then twist?
Hi Aisha. How are you hun. I love your twist out. I have to try that on my hair. Stopped by to show some love. Swing by and show a girl some back. Nice video.
Love it. I big chopped for the 2nd time in November and my hair is border line read6y to do a twist out. I struggled last night but I loved what you twisted your I will try the next time. That is if I can make myself do it again. It took over 2 hrs last night. THE STRUGGLE WAS REAL!!!!
By 4:08 I can’t watch anymore. I got great ideas from you and I appreciate them so much. I’m going to try twisting my hair, however, the video volume, your voice recording is low and the changeover to music is very loud. Thanks for the tips!
@@whoistonye1 Oh no!! Well thanks for being honest. It took me a few tries to get it. I'd suggest watching one of my newer twist out videos too, this was from my earlier days. I've gotten much better, here's a link to one breaking it down step by step: ua-cam.com/video/k0AP240K3x0/v-deo.html
No no I always let it fully dry before unraveling. If you unravel while it's still wet then it will become frizzy and less defined. The style wont last more than a day!
I have been doing this style on my daughter. Thank you! Can you add information on how you maintain the hairstyle each night? To get some longevity out of it?
hey there! whats worked for me was wearing a silk lined cap and putting oil on my scalp while theyre still in twists. I was able to wear the twists as a style for a few days before undoing them. Once i untwisted, i would wet it in the morning, gently apply my condiitoner and other products and continue sleeping in my cap at night. For reference, i have similar hair to the woman in the video and thats what works for me when i do this style. hope this helps
Ximena Castillo I know girl I feel that’s the case with most natural hairstyles. They aren’t the exact same every day, but I honestly feel they age better. Day one is sometimes a little toooo neat
I liked your hair, however, please adjust the video volume. I have to turn your voice up then when the music comes in its blasting. I had to keep the remote in my hand for your whole video.

How often do you have to repeat the process?

At this length I slept in a bonnet and then refreshed with oil the next morning!

Hi there! So I’m doing a decent size chop on my hair soon and love this style! How long does it last and how do you preserve overnight?

How long does it last and what is the daily maintenance?
My twist outs usually last 4 - 5 days, I sleep with a satin lined bonnet and satin pillowcase to preserve it. Then refresh with oil in the mornings!
Thank you!
What shampoo and conditioner do you use when washing your hair?
Hello Ms. Aisha, do you have a video on finger coils, if not can you do a video on finger coils?
I don't! I'll be sure to add it to my list of future videos!
Trying this now
Whoop whoop!

Hi, Do you retwist them every night to get the same style? Or how do you upkeep the same look?
No I slept with a bonnet on and then the next day refresh my hair with oil!
Do you put the holding product on before or after the cream and curling product?
Can this twist out look good with my side hair damaged, broken
Very cute!
Thank you!
how do you maintain twist outs?
Very nice ....I love it ❤️

Yo go girl
Kari Washington vibes 😍

Thanks sis! Can't wait til my hair is long enough to try a twist out.
No problem!!
Hey my hair is 2 and a half inches i did it. Your post is 3 months...hope is is 1 fabulous.
This is beautiful. You went old school 70s
Love it!!!!
Thank you!
Did you let it dry before you decided to unravel or can I unravel while it still wet???
No no I always let it fully dry before unraveling. If you unravel while it's still wet then it will become frizzy and less defined. The style wont last more than a day!
Could I use curl la la instead of the mane because I cannot find it?
Yes, definitely! Use whichever products work best for you!
How about residue? Is there any with the products you use?
Nope!
So do you prefer aunt Jackie gel over eco styled gel
Absolutely! The Aunt Jackie's gel has a nice hold but no flaking and gives my hair some bounce. It's my favorite!
Love it gorgeous!:)
Thank you so much!

What music is that during the video tutorial?
It's a music clip from the UA-cam creator studio!
I have the same gel, however when I use that gel my hair flakes.
but then... like..i have to sleep at some point and it never looks as good as it does on day one :(
