Clapton is not really that good of a player. In fact he really has been pretty lame at it all has life. I would not rate him in the top 1000. And i have played for 55 years.
Mr. Clapton like many others has had adverse reactions both of his covid jabs. The second has caused him to have (his words) excruciating pain in his fingers. It is only his love of music and his prior engagements. That you get to witness a 78-year young man play his heart out . Professional. Most definitely. A nuisance. Much more than that. As we get older we lose some speed . But if you had character you don't lose it you gain more. This dude's got some character.
