I saw it through UA-cam and I gotta say, the actor playing as Joker did a fantastic job in the deleted scene. And, even in his brief screen time in the film left me uneasy for what might happen in future sequels.
Thank God actor from Marvel MCU: "Eternals" chosen for this.. He is perfect.

I think that’s why it was put out. They felt it was too slow and drew focus away from the Riddler, but Reeves was clearly too impressed with the performance to remove him entirely (hence the quick “Friend” scene in Arkham at the end) and so this was released so people can see and appreciate it.

Even in a movie that has Riddler as the main villain, Joker still finds a way to get that attention.

The Reeves films will play out so much like a horror movie, I feel like the Zodiac/Silence of the Lambs vibes we got in the first one are just the beginning. This Joker is brilliant, absolutely terrifying, I'm very excited to see what the future films will show us.

I know there are some people are bored of Batman and Joker, but they need to know that there simply can't be a Batman universe without a Joker. It's simply not possible. Just cause they introduced him doesn't mean they are gonna have him in the next movie or whatever.
It's already bad that last 2 Batman adaptations didn't have a proper Robin in it. Robins and Joker are one of the most important characters to have when making a Batman film or creating a universe.
Barry Keoghan's version of Joker was executed well and fits this universe. Sure his looks might be off putting, but they will update it a bit by the time he comes around for real. Pretty sure this was suppose to be some kind of a test to see how fans would react. I know that might sound obvious but feels like it needs to be pointed out to some people. Hate to break it to ya, but this is what someone would look like if they fell in some kind of acid and survived.
I really do hope they put robin in the next one, then have joker kill him or fuck him up badly near the end, with the 3rd movie being about batman finding the joker

I swear to God that I had straight chills watching this scene.
People complaining about Joker being repetitive or are "fatigued" by him can go and kick rocks somewhere else. Are people "fatigued" by Batman or Spider-Man or Marvel? I don't think so.
I am already in love with Barry Keoghan's version of the Joker. So freaking satanic and insane. I love the aesthetic to him. The hair, the eyes, the voice, the smile caused by his birth defect, the look of someone who has survived being burned in a vat of chemicals (even though Matt Reeves stated that it isn't the case with this Joker). Everything about this was picture-perfect.
I can't wait to see more of him down the line (but NOT in The Batman 2).

There needs to be a director's cut or something. I would have been happy to have that Joker scene in the film!
I understand the argument, but I think it was a good call to cut this scene, ironically because it is so good. As good as Paul Dano's Riddler was, he would have been overshadowed by this Joker appearing in the middle of the film. I think that's intentional, to a degree - we see that the two villains are likely going to team-up, with Joker as the senior partner, as is kinda inevitable with that pairing of characters - but it also meant that sidelining Joker in this installment gave Riddler more time to breathe and for us to get to know him before he got back-burnered as a side-kick a little bit.

This Joker looked like he smocked a whole pack of cigarettes and lit himself on fire while laughing at society.

Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix's Joker never fell in chemical turning him into Joker. It was society.
Barry Keoghan's Joker is the same but the Chemical burns show the ugliest side to that.

I like the mix of wish it was left in/glad they cut it out. I can't say where I fall, I wonder if they took it out because this is much more of a horror movie scene than a murder mystery like the rest of the movie. Glad we got to see it, kinda hoping they save Joker for the third movie because it's gonna be EPIC
Judging by where it is in the film I personally see why it was cut. Guessing this is after the second murder, very early on to the movie.
The reason why I dislike at that stage is A. The pay off to this scene comes way to far behind the movie
B. Don’t see why Batman would be desperate enough to ask the Joker in that point.
If this scene was during the murder of Gil Coulson and especially the hit on Bruce Wayne, then I can see why he would be desperate enough to talk to the joker and the pay off comes much sooner

I have mixed feelings about it still. On one hand, I kind of wished that they had put in the film. But on the other hand, the scene would had kind of ruined Riddler's spotlight a bit.
Regardless of what the intention was, the scene was still AMAZING. I got chills watching that and loved their banter with each other. They're also quite familiar with each other it seems already, which is an interesting choice. The makeup effects they did with Joker was insane and looked kind of cool... in a messed up way. Liked that they didn't show too much of him at first. Felt like Seven and Silence of the Lambs with hints of Zodiac and Saw-ish? Looking forward to seeing what they will do next in this Batman universe.
I was dead wrong when I thought Riddler was talking with Harvey Dent aka Two-Face but it was Joker the entire time
By the tone was enough evidence who was this monster. Now it seems a nightmarish team up in future films.

When the video was out i was hope you do this video and i was right
Cut cause it would’ve distracted from the riddler being the main villian. The way the film is, works when that trade of hands and appearance is placed in regards to the climax and resolution of the film.
Pacing felt the same as the rest of the film, would’ve fit fine but distracting.
At least many will get a pick through this deleted scene what freak of nature will appear in future sequels.

If it’s after second kill I get why it’s cut, seems like the pay off to this scene comes way too far back. If this scene was after say around the riddler trying to kill Wayne I would prefer it.
With that said love this scene but the movie still works without it so not to big of a loss

Idk why Keoghan is getting so much hate. Maybe cause I'm more of a marvel guy & dont know much about DC, or Ledger fanboys reject any other joker. Times passes, reboots happen. I like this joker
Keoghan and Ledger are like Holland and Maguire. Nostalgia prevents many from being able to move on and let others have a chance at portraying the characters that they love.

So I’m guessing the horrid appearance of this joker is because he just recently fell into the chemicals that are in his comic origins. The scarring is from the fact that the chemical burns still aren’t completely healed.

Barry keoghan is the one who played the joker or the unseen arkham prisoner since the scene was deleted and Barry keoghan is an eternal character from marvel before DC. He played Druig the mind controller from marvel's eternal. This feels amazing!
