    My car was using coolant on long trips, and there was bubbles on the radiator, I didn’t have the money to change the head gasket rn soo I just found out about these sealer’s and bought the K seal, drained and clean the whole system put new coolant on it and the k seal, let it idle for 30 minutes, then let it cool for 3 hours, again idle for 30 minutes and cool for the rest of the night, about 10 hours, there’s no bubbles, doesn’t smell like coolant getting burned and doesn’t smell like gasoline on the reservoir.

    You're right. You're not working on a Ferrari here. You're using it for exactly the purpose intended. We all know it won't fix a rusted out core plug with a hole in it. This is a legit repair because you discussed it with the customer and let them know the entire situation.

    My son has a 2003 Durango, same color! And having the exact same problem. He just poured the sealer in, so fingers crossed it holds up for a few months so he can save up for a new car! I’m so glad I came upon this video!

    Excellent video- I tried K- Seal HEad GAsket Sealer- it's really good- I plan on draining my oil now- and using Liqui-MOly to clean any gunk from engine- flushing with cheaper oil - than put high grade oil in-

      Since I filmed this video and now the car hasn't returned for a coolant leak it seems to have held up pretty good. As far as I know the car is currently being used everyday since its winter up here.

    Optional….once sealed, you can drain & replace with fresh coolant.

    So i have a leak and I've been putting just water for a while because it's been costing me to buy coolant, now that i bought more coolant and k-seal what do i do first? Do i put coolant now? Or just put k-seal? When do i put anti-freeze coolant? Before or after?

    • @TheEnthusiastMechanic
      @TheEnthusiastMechanic  Місяць тому +3

      You should get all the water out and get it filled with coolant then you add your sealer

    Hey, I have a question. Is there such a thing as too much of this stuff to put in your coolant? Like, what's the point it starts damaging your car?

    • @TheEnthusiastMechanic
      @TheEnthusiastMechanic  6 місяців тому +2

      I wouldn’t surpass one or two bottles max even though the stuff helps it can clog your cooling system if you use too much

      You can change it if you want, but the stuff is designed to stay in the system

    I used this stuff and still have low coolent level but do not see leaking under car , i have 08 frod taurus 3.5 v6 and now engine light is on and have grey looking stuff on oil dip stick , i followed directions on bottle when i put it in coolent system . In th e 08 fors taurus it does not have a radiator cap its has a pressurerised coolent cap on coolent resivoir i added it there , the has not over heated and thermostatr seems to be working but got a new one just im case . But like i said now i got that grey milky stuff on oil dip stick , im thinking head gasket now , what do you think ?
    Im disabled so its not easy for me to work on a car and dont have much money to take to shop , i never trusted mechanic in a bottle stuff but when i did put this k-seal in it seemed to work ok but afyet driving maybe 20 miles doing same arrons in a wndy 78 degree day car dis not show signs of over heating temp gage was working fine as it took a little bit to reach mid level temp on gage so figured the k-seal worked but the next morning i started car and backed out put in drive and within less than 5 seconds didnt even get 20 ft check engine light came on so i parked car poped hood turned car off and checked oil dip stick and i seen the grey colored stuff . I am no mechanic , i have worked on cars before the cancer made me disabled and could fix basic stuff . Let me know your opinion please and thank you

    • @TheEnthusiastMechanic
      @TheEnthusiastMechanic  2 місяці тому +1

      I’m always skeptical of mechanics in a bottle like I even mentioned in the video even though this can help fix something it’s only in the short term it’s not gonna be long-term effects. My advice to you would be to possibly drain the oil to see if you’re getting any coolant in there to see whatever the gray stuff might be or if you want to go add it with a more direct approach I would use the gas tester analyzer for the cooling system. You could generally rent one or pick one up at a parts store to see if you’re getting any combustion gases in your radiator/coolant.

      @@TheEnthusiastMechanic thank you i appreciate the feed back and just so u know i checked the oil a day before and it was ok fine the day before that it was low maybe by 3\4 a quart so i added some to it but then all the above stuff happened thats why i said i meed to check the oil but thank you again draining oil and getting new filter and clean oil id have tondo anyway now , im check tue parts stores and see if can rent that gas test analyzer 👍i will leave a comment once i do and thanks again Sir

    Will the kseal circulate to the reservoir?

    • @TheEnthusiastMechanic
      @TheEnthusiastMechanic  7 місяців тому +1

      It will over time since coolant dose spill over in the overflow tank but if you have a leak there most of the time those are easy to replace.

    • @TheEnthusiastMechanic
      @TheEnthusiastMechanic  4 місяці тому +1

      If you use the correct way, it shouldn’t harm it. If you use too much of it, it will probably eventually clog it but that’s any type of coolant system sealer. If you use too much, they do clog up certain portions.

    • @TheEnthusiastMechanic
      @TheEnthusiastMechanic  8 місяців тому

      Usually white smoke can be too much fuel or burning coolant. If you don’t drive the car a lot sometimes it can be normal when you start it up especially considering you got really low miles.
