  • Just showing you how I fixed my small head gasket leak with a product called K-Seal. This product seems to have a high amount of positive reviews on Amazon so I decided to give it a shot to fix my head gasket leak, PERMANENTLY. Link: amzn.to/2NOrre7
    Here's all the products related to this video!

    Update* Leak did stop but it wasn't from a head gasket leak it came from somewhere else I have no clue wear. Planning on doing a cooling system flush now so that this stuff doesn't wind up clogging small passages in my cooling system.
    Link: www.amazon.com/...
    NOTE: My coolant leak was very small at the time only had to replace half a litre of Coolant every 5000 Kilometers or so. This product may not work if you have a large coolant leak.
    Disclaimer: I (Darksyne) am not sponsored by K-Seal I bought this with my own money and take no responsibility for any damage this product may cause while in your car.
    Update: I made this video 2 weeks ago and coolant level hasn't dropped, so far this product is working, I plan to do a flush once the weather gets warmer to prevent any possible clogs in the system.

    THIS STUFF WORKS !!!🎉👍👌 like a charm 😁 I have 351,266 miles on my truck[1997 dodge ram 1500] all original. The Water pump just broke 40 minutes ago & fluids were everywhere. I put this K-SEAL stuff in and not only did it fix the water pump leak it also fixed my head gasket. I've been blowing white smoke for almost a year 😲 Now, no more like smoke😇 I'm driving from Reno Nevada to Tahoe with no leaks and my running temperature has always been right at or around 200 now it's running at or around 190 to 200. You know when a water pump leaks (usually) that means it is shot. The bear on the water pump acts as a seal. When the bearing goes the water pump then leaks to let you know the bearing is shot. But it could just be the gasket leaking.

    No leaks at all after a couple hundred more miles.No clogs in heater core it is working as is the radiator. Amazing no leaks now but I will be replacing the head n head gasket.

    Make sure you read the bottle, these small bottles are supposed to treat up to 22 quarts of coolant so if your car only takes 8 quarts of coolant you should only use half a bottle. Especially if you don’t have an expansion tank for say a classic car it will completely clog your radiator and cause other problems. Make sure you fully read instructions prior to use!! Good luck with it, it worked for me in the past!

    • @Darksyne
      @Darksyne  4 роки тому

      yeah I think I mentioned if your car has a small cooling capacity like the older civic's, you don't need to use the whole bottle. But if you have a big truck that takes a lot of coolant, then you should use K-Seal HD which is a bigger bottle for those heavy duty cooling systems.

    Just bought this for my 8th gen civic fd. My radiator had small bubbles and pressure every time I took it for a spin (possible pinhole leak in the head gasket). Tried it today, drained some coolant first and put some directly to the top radiator hose then mixed some to the coolant I returned. I only used maybe 3/4 of the bottle since my cooling system only has 5.5 liters of coolant. And wow! the results are very positive! No more pressure and bubbles on the radiator. And the car felt smoother and responsive no more power loss after driving it for an hour. This is a real game changer! Super impressed with this K-seal. Will observe it more for a couple of days, but the initial results are promising! Excellent product!

    Tip. 🤔 When ever a product says, shake well before use, if it's an arisaul can or, something to that effect, make sure the cap is on tight! (if afflicable) and let it sit on your bench, up side 👆 down, 👇 for 3 or 4 minutes, then shake the product, the recommend amount of time. (Depending on the shape of the container, you might want to set "blocks" or "bricks" 🧱 around the container before, your leaving it on your bench, this will prevent it from tipping) This will help, free up, everything that settled to the bottom of the container, since it was manufactured, shipped and stored. 👍

    My car was using coolant on long trips, and there was bubbles on the radiator, I didn’t have the money to change the head gasket rn soo I just found out about these sealer’s and bought the K seal, drained and clean the whole system put new coolant on it and the k seal, let it idle for 30 minutes, then let it cool for 3 hours, again idle for 30 minutes and cool for the rest of the night, about 10 hours, there’s no bubbles, doesn’t smell like coolant getting burned and doesn’t smell like gasoline on the reservoir.

    I used a bottle of Steel Seal to fix my head gasket, drained the coolant, removed the thermostat, flushed the cooling system really good, Then use a radiator cleaner to clean the cooling system , Make sure to flush out all the cleaner 100%, When engine is 100% cold add steel seal with distilled water, turn heater on high & let idle for 30 mins with the radiator cap off........Let it cool for 1 hour the let idle again for 30 mins with the radiator cap on...........next morning let it idle for another 30 mins then removed all water from the system to let the steel seal cure for 24 hours, Replace the thermostat, fill with coolant and your good to go. Mine has been running perfect for 70k miles now as i use the car for uber & lyft, Only cost me about $120 total.

    *This. Product. Works.*
    Real talk, I had a 'leak" it was more of a torrential downpour on the heatercore, and I drive a 64' Dodge custom 880.
    And yes there are no aftermarket heatercores for this car, so I was at a loss on how I was going to get the heater working again, and I was short on funds to get a re-core at a radiator shop.
    Lo and behold I tried K-seal and it stopped the steady stream of coolant that was pouring out.
    Quite unexpected for a sealer to work even on a gaping hole.
    So if you have a slow drip of coolant, I'm confident that K-seal can plug up that pin hole leak.
    Hell I'd even dare say i had the worst leak possible to even let a sealer take care of the hole.
    I gave the K-seal a run for it's money, and it delivered. Better than bars leak, bars leak sealer didn't even do anything to seal up the hole.
    Recomend using this product, I'd still advise on getting a permanent fix, broken part/ heater core.

      Yeah sounds like a severe blown head-gasket. First I recommend changing the oil and coolant then if you want to try to repair with K-Seal then I recommend the K-Seal Permeant Block and Head-Gasket Sealer: amzn.to/2PbqQ6R Since that's a more heavy duty product meant for blown head-gaskets. The K-Seal is meant for slow leaks and minor headgasket leaks so I recommend trying the K-Seal Block and Head-gasket specific sealer. Just remember to change the oil and coolant first to avoid cross-contamination.

    • @Darksyne

      It can be fixed, it's only terminal when your engine stops working :p But once you see a milking colour in the oil, that means coolant and oil is mixing so you should to something sooner rather than later. That's why I recommend the K-Seal Headgasket and Block seal because its a stronger product than the K-Seal from this video for larger leaks like in your car.

    • @Darksyne
      @Darksyne  5 років тому +3

      You can have a mechanic perform a head-gasket leak test or your car would burn a lot more white smoke than normal and smell sweet if it's burning.
      So far the K-Seal hasn't damaged anything in my car since I poured it in years ago. Once I noticed the leak was gone, I flushed my old coolant out with new coolant and made sure the un-used K-Seal was removed before it caused a clog. Hope this helps!

  • @gregorythoman8281

    If you have a head gasket leak you can easily tell by checking your oil. It it looks like a milkshake you have coolant in your oil which means you have blown head gasket.

    • @Theywaswrong
      @Theywaswrong 3 роки тому +1

      Coolant leak could be going into the exhaust system and out the tail pipe. Head gasket leak doesn't always go in the oil or vice versa. If you oil looks good and you dont see any oil in your water BUT you are losing coolant, its going out the tailpipe. A bad leak will have a good bit of white smoke, steam. A very small leak you may not notice it but if you are losing water and its not in the oil, its going out the tailpipe.

      Usually just stays in the system until you replace the coolent after 3-5 years (depends if your using blue/green coolent or g12/g12+ witch is long life)
      last time I used it I didn't flush it (more then 5 years ago, water has been drained but it flushed 2 times in last 2 years)
      about to get some more because got bubbles now and heater core sometimes stops working until I get to 1800rpm (probably because the system was emptyed all of the k-seal is gone from the system)
      I thought k-seal was for external leaks so was looking for gasket sealant before having to change gasket or the car it self, but seams k-seal is goto
      it be really helpful if the sealent companys actually stated coolent compatibility like g12/g12+ witch is very common but liquid steel type products usually incompatible with (believe its fine with g11/g10/blue/green normal 3 year life coolent stuff)
      but k-seal is compatible with long life 5 year (g12/g12+/red/pinkish colour)

      If you’re leaking coolant through the plastic of the radiator, you’re better off just to replace it. Should be easy and cheap enough for most cars to do.

      If your car has small diameter hoses for coolant then don't use stop leak period... The smaller the pathways the greater risk of clogging. Thats why you should only take the risk and use them on engines with basic cooling systems... You're also supposed to flush it within a week of use like i did to prevent clogging because the stop leak wouldve taken effect by then.

    Man I just did the heater core in my 05 Grand Cherokee Laredo and I'm nervous about pouring a sealant in the cooling system again I had put bars leak block sealer in because my head gasket is leaking into the Pistons and it worked all right didn't plug anything up other than my reservoir just because the inlet outlet hole is like 3/16" but since I put in a brand new heater core because the old one literally ruptured and I just bypassed it because it was springtime and warming up not getting cold I pulled my oil cap a few weeks ago and noticed the white cream of Doom on the lid so I poured in a bottle of bars block sealer the $30 bottleand it seemed to work alright it cut down almost every bit of the white creamy stuff that develops on your oil cap whenever water is being burned in your engine bay area well since I put in the new heater core I flushed that system completely, well now the white creamy cap does Doom is back underneath my oil cap and I don't want to plug up my heater core because it's just now starting to get real cold outside song kind of like on the halfway point of not doing it or doing it

    Can kseal be add when you have already put bars leak head casket sealer in , will it hurt anything

    • @IndyPokerDude
      @IndyPokerDude 2 роки тому

      Yes, but you should do a thorough flush to clean coolant system of loose or left behind remnants of the bars leak. I would disconnect all hoses and remove tstat, freeze plugs, and tstat and thoroughly flush engine block until your certain all residuals and unused bars leak is removed and flushed from engine block water pump and heater core. Then I would repeat the same process with the radiator, hoses, reservoir. Flush and clean as many times as needed to be certain you've eliminated the old bars leak from all the aforementioned components. Once you've accomplished ridding the old bars leak from all the components and areas of your vehicle, you can confidently start the process of administrating the kseal to your coolant system, once it's completely put back together from your prior processes eliminating old sealer. I think mixing the kseal in separate container with distilled water and manufacturers recommended antifreeze specific to your vehicle then introducing that diluted cocktail added directly to your radiator filler cap opening as suggested by other wise and experienced contributors throughout this thread. Taking the extra time to prepare and go the extra mile to reduce opportunities for process failure or less than desirable results will definitely increase your chances for success or accomplishing an outcome you desire. Follow kseals directions for how it pertains to vehicle and check out kseals additional advice, tips, and more valuable information that may be helpful and beneficial with your specific circumstance, likely increasing your overall understanding while also adding to your knowledge so that you can be better equipped when considering your options to find a solution to your vehicle issues. If you decide to take the task on yourself you've armed yourself with more knowledge increasing your ability to identify and complete the processes required insuring your sought-after results are accomplished to your satisfaction. In short, there's more than one way to achieve your goals with regard to repairing your vehicle. Like all other dilemmas we incur in life, to garner the best possible solutions, shouldn't we put ourselves in the best possible position to allow for the most or best opportunities to acquire the best solution, either self generated or received by other means. I've learned through trials and tribulations, one of the secret ingredients to limiting the risk of failure and increasing the chance of success, is due diligence. When we have the mindset that achieving the outcomes we desire, experienceing success, and finding solutions that are satisfying, the journey getting there can be influenced by our commitment to understand, believe and follow through with accepting and being if the mindset that we must focus on the one and only part of the process of influencing the process of the outcomes, which is controlling of what we personally can control. Realizing that I can do that and that's the only thing I have 100% control over regarding positive solutions, success, or accomplishments is me and if I'm going to influence in the only way possible I can. Due diligence is a common denominator those wanting solutions and personal positive outcomes to desires they have. This is part of a mindset that is encompassed by those that care to be successful.
