Oh my goodness--the "Trees" book! My Mom has had that same little book forever. Fall was her favorite time of year. Mom just passed on Sept. 8th and I miss her immeasurably. But several people have reminded me to keep my eyes/ears/heart open, because I'll *find* her in the most unexpected places...and I just did ❤

My favorite fall thing to do is to have a bonfire and drink hot cider. 🧡 I used to not like fall because I knew it led to winter. Our winters are long here, and the darkness and cold makes me depressed. But I’ve learned to not look so far ahead and just embrace the beauty of the moment…not to mention it contains my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving! Now I no longer dread fall at all. Thank you for this wonderful list!

I love everything you both love in regard to fall! I am not an artist like Jonas, but I make cards and send them and letters on a weekly basis to friends and family. I think of these cards as hugs or smiles in the mailbox. You are both such dear people!

Happy Anniversary! This is a great time to celebrate! I love all fall fruits and vegetables, sweaters, cold crisp Fall days. Yesterday I made a big batch of pumpkin bread to share with neighbors. We had a cider pressing party at my daughter's orchard and canned over 20 jars of pears. Fall has just begun! Yay! ❤️🎃🍁
Happy Anniversary! Great list! As an avid gardener, putting the garden to bed, by planting Spring bulbs, bringing in tender plants and bulbs, and mulching up my plants to protect them over the winter, is one I would add to the list.

@@itsacharminglife Planting by moon cycle is vastly underrated, for instance: the new moon is a great time to plant or transplant, because that's when water is pulled to the roots.. think tides. The full moon pulls water to the surface making it a great time to pick fruits, as that's when they're at their juiciest. I believe the Farmer's Almanac has some info on moon gardening but there's more comprehensive info in moon books. We just had that awesome harvest full moon in Pisces, but the upcoming weeks are also prime up to the new moon in Libra. 🌝
You should visit Liberty View Farm in Highland!! That’s where we got married! It’s beautiful! Organic apples, veggie market stand in New Paltz, etcetra!! We had a bluegrass band as our wedding band too! 🧡🍁🍂🎃
Happy Anniversary! Lovely video! I am from Mexico, and during fall we create offerings (ofrendas) to honor and celebrate loved ones who passed away (Día de Muertos), there are marigolds (cempasúchil) and candles everywhere, we decorate with tissue paper with cut out shapes (papel picado), we burn incense, and we eat pan de muerto, which is a traditional bread that is made of butter, sugar, orange zest and orange blossoms essence. When I was kid we also celebrated Halloween and went trick or treating in full costume, so I like having this mix of traditions. This video put me in such a good, autumn-y mood!

Although I live in California, I do love the Fall. We do get leaf changes as we have liquid amber trees in our neighborhood. We live in Chino where there are still lots of farms and dairies. I always take my grandkids to a local farm to buy pumpkins 🎃, sunflowers and fresh local harvests. We also take them to pick apples in Oak Glen, about an hour away fom our home. My husband and I always take a car ride to the little old mining town of Julian, California. Where we buy apple pies and preserves and eat at a favorite restaurant there. I look forward to cooler days and crisp nights. They are so welcome after the heat of summer. I think I pretty much do all the things on your bucket list. I recently purchased your lovely postcards and I will be sending them to our family in Connecticut. I think my little granddaughter would love getting one in the mail. Every autumn we’ve decorated for Halloween starting in September, carved pumpkins 🎃 and our traditional Halloween dinner has been my husband’s homemade chili for about 15 years now since my grandmother wasn’t able to continue having all of the grandchildren there after trick or treating for her homemade vegetable soup.
I loved this!
I love to go on fall walks, collect leaves and do leaf rubbing or laminate them.
Apple picking, walk through the forest, pumpkin patch visit, deer park, baking apple treats, making apple sauce, pumpkin carving, finding new recipes for pumpkins, finding autumn leaves, chestnuts, acorns, pinecones and more, looking after the birds and Squirrels in the garden, just relax with a cup of jasmin tea or an English tea.💕🍂🍁

I am married to a dutch, living here in the south of the Netherlands and our wedding anniversary is the 26 of October, 19 years this year!!! So we Love Fall, and as a mexican we have our beautiful tradition of Día de Muertos and I love to remember and honor the lives of our beautiful ancestors that are and will always be part of our lives. So, I Love Fall most of all, and everything about it!

We celebrate Hobbit Day on the first day of autumn (Bilbo and Frodo shared a birthday on the autumnal equinox). Lots of cozy food and music and bare feet 🙃

Happy belated Anniversary, I'm thinking you two just inspired some Autumn weddings. I was thinking if there's a ceramic shop near you that pours their own molds, you could ask for a pumpkin to be poured and not fully emptied, then turned to one side for a thicker wall to crave like the real pumpkin. If my shop was near you I'd certainly pour one for you, well if you'd be interested.

I actually wrote out my Autumn bucket list this year which includes wooded hikes with picnic, visit the mts(Blue ridge) to drive the parkway & view the leaves, visit local apple orchard for apples & apple cider donuts & slushees, go to the zoo, spooky annual reads(wuthering heights, Jane Eyre, etc), spooky movies, finding a new cafe to visit, having a pumpkin spice day, visiting an historic graveyard with picnic, camping at cabins on Morrow Mt, do spooky crafts w/grandkids, visit a crepe shop, go to Rennfaire in November and celebrate my bday in October. I’m also making a dress from a pattern adapted from an original McCall’s pattern from 1921 and may squeeze in an art museum trip on the day I do crepes as there is one nearby(Reynolda House & gardens). Your pies looked wonderful! Have you ever made shoefly pie? It’s almost like gingerbread in a pie crust. If you are interested I’ll give you the recipe! Today(22nd) is our first fall weather day here in the Carolinas, but we can get summer weather again several times before cool crisp weather returns for good. 🎃♥️🍁❤️

When I retired from the academy last March, I slowly began unpacking my Hobby Bucket List. Now there are art supplies 🎨 scattered everywhere! I also plan to make note cards to send to friends. Traditions are important. I can tailor the card themes to the individuals. Jim & I are taking an Autumn camping trip to the New Hampshire coast. The campground closes October 1st. THAT was cozy! I live in the California desert and though I feel Fall in the air, it’s really not as pronounced here as where you guys are. That tea cup with the wheat pattern looked so familiar, like something maybe my Mom had when I was small. What is that? So, Thank you. I needed to feel cozy and to remember nostalgically walking through the Fall leaves and seeing the colors. I was very small when we moved from the east, but how deeply rooted are my memories and also those smells you mentioned! Makes me want to hop on a plane! My 4 year old would absolutely love a pumpkin picnic! She has been watching your videos with me, and last week we made an old-fashioned 20 foot rag garland in happy fall colors which we hung up in our living room. I lived in New York until I was 11, and autumn was my favorite time of year too! IMy family then moved to California, which I learned to love, but fall was just not the same. I now live in Arizona and fall is now special here because it is not so hot and I can be out doors more! I love the artwork and would like to suggest that you do a calender with a different scene each month! It could be your artwork on some and photos on other months. I love going for walks in old graveyards, making apple pies after picking apples, making mulled cider, taking long drives along the hudson to see the leaves against the river. I love growing pumpkins from the previous years pumpkins, visiting sleepy hollow of course and finally reading the legend of sleepy hollow and dark poetry. I love to write poetry in the Fall because there is a sadness in the air I can not explain but it is also comforting at the same time. My favorite is called "Will you remember me in the Fall" Will you remember me in the Fall, when leaves change and winter calls, as the sun rises and as it falls, will you remember me at all. As tide turns and changes time, on ghostly nights sipping wine, without me by your side. Will you remember me, as time befalls in the Fall? Will you remember me at all...By DMB

Great fall bucket lists! I live in SC now but grew up in New England, RI to be specific. Going for walks and collecting fall leaves was something we always did, going for country rides and getting fresh picked apples and hot cider donuts a must! This year we plan to take a day trip to the mountains to see good fall color and get fresh apples. Fall is my very favorite season as well and my hoke is all cozied up to enjoy it!🍂🧡

I just checked another fall bucket list item off my list. Picnic in an old graveyard. I even dressed up steampunk style, cuz why not! Old Scotch Burial Ground in Carthage NC. Brought the book Topper to read, another item on the list, spooky reads. No ghosts sighted except in the book!
