I take it we're about the same age- I was 19 in 1991 / turning 53 in 40 days). I've got several steno pads with notes like yours. And spiral notebooks. And marble composition books. I was prolific and disorganized! 🤣 I think I remember the C&LE: it was a cover story in MR. I want to say brown locomotives, and the cover photo was a huge bridge (that looked a little out of scale), iirc. Spencer-3D looks interesting. Very interesting! I love the gaps 3D services are filling in available structures and rolling stock models. And now bridges. 😍
I love your updates Rob. I'm glad to see that you have most of the soot cleaned up. Sure wish I could help with your scenery, I'm pretty good at it, but my body just won't cooperate at this time, which really sucks! 😢
The epoxy water will take a very long time to dry - it is too tick in one pour. Think off a bottle of paint left open and how the surface skins over but the rest takes time to dry because it is not exposed to air -same here.
Hint, you may be using the wrong type of heater for indoor use. Anything with a flame needs to be properly vented. Outside of the possibility of fire there exists the toxic gasses from products of combustion. Try and electric space heater next time. You have a huge investment with a lot of combustible materials in it.
Thank you for the shout out. John - Whistle Stop Models
