Thanks for the tip. Why door access is difficult is beyond me. One would think by inserting the remote key into the slot would activate the door to open. I'm having to deal with this nonsense now since my battery died.
my key was acting up this morning so we went home to get the spare just incase and i jumped on here to see how to change the batteries and i came across this video. i had no idea it had a key hole. i will try this today.
Thank you for this. Believe it or not, my 2023 manual doesn't tell how to replace the cover and I'm afraid to break the plastic cover, which would probably cost $ and need to be special ordered.
@@geminidrums5530 no, we left the key inside the trunk while all the doors were locked, and the reserved key is 120 miles away. I was just thinking if there's a work around. But we got it by driving 120 miles round trip 🤣to pickup the reserved key. We only spend like 60 bucks in gas + few dollars for snack + lesson learned 😆.

So we just got a used 2021 Kia Forte LXS and the car isn’t responding to the key fob. At all. It will unlock but the car is immobilized

What if the lever release latch is broken and you shut the trunk with the keys inside the trunk
look for another video on youtube for that issue or call AAA. other than that... you may have to start taking public transportation.
