Here's one I heard... this British Rail 10800 trundled onto the path of some UA-camr historian of minor fame, and then called all his mates to gang up on the poor fellow... was about two years ago, from what I recall, and last I heard, he's still talking about it to this very day. Drove the poor fellow absolutely mental.

With all the advancements and technology, I would not be surprised if someday they come up with a space train

Train hitting the moon? Sounds like something CSX would do

That third train that stole a cleaning lady is a brilliant example of how relying on safety "procedures" that are trivial to circumvent for convenience is a recipe for disaster.

I am sorry, Darkness, but after hearing about the train vs. moose incident, I just can't help myself. A moose once bit my sister.

For those that think a moose is not destructive. I was in Maine were there are some Moose. It was rutting aka mating season for moose and other deer. Well several OTR drivers had gone to sleep in a rest area in northern Maine. We woke up the next morning and one of us had a moose scratching his head on the hood ornament of his long nose Peterbilt truck. He goes I'll get rid of him and blew his air horn at the moose. What he did not see but several of us behind him did see was the second BULL moose looking at his reflection in his polished doors of his reefer trailer. The front moose said oh no you don't challenge me and charged the truck hit it hard and shook it. Then the second one saw his reflection move towards him. For the next 20 mins those 2 meese tore that truck apart.

As a massage therapist, every day I figure out how to pronounce random names, yet popular YTers can't be bothered to do the same.

Jumbo, “The King of Elephants” was tragically killed when he was struck by a Grand Trunk Locomotive(Northern Trunk)Railway of Canada train. In St. Thomas Ontario, on September 15th, 1885.

It's pronounced [salt-shô-bànán] or salt-shô-track as it's name means. Say "banana" and skip the last "a" and you are almost there😂

One very weird train disaster that once happened was when an ICE train (probably an ICE 2 or 1) collided with a herd of sheep as it entered the Landrücken Tunnel. The ICE number 885 was damaged quite heavily, as it was traveling at 210+ km/h when it hit the sheep. 12 out of 14 of the cars derailed. Out of the 170 people on board, 22 were seriously injured and 17 only slightly. injured. Some sources state that up to 77 sheep died. The cost came out to 10,320,000 Euro.

Nice PSA at the end there, Darkness. Remember kids, Trains win against Cars, Trucks, Planes, Helicopters, Buildings and Boats. Do not take any of these into direct collision with a Train, as you will LOSE.

    How bizarre, how bizarre...

  • @bellakaldera3305

I've heard tales of Bull Moose in Rut charging trains and derailing them in Alaska too. Don't F with the Moose!

    Beware the cleaning lady

moose vs car.. At night, you may only see "legs" on each side of the road. The moose is tall enough you may not see the body in the middle unless you have high beams on. Hitting the moose with an average car just makes the moose ANGRY.... If it isn't too tall, you end up with a collapsed roof with a moose lying on it trying to figure out who to kill to get even....

There was a short the other day. I think it was in Mexico, but dash cam of a loco hits a donkey standing on the tracks. Dude. You hear a thump. And then a bunch of red chunks just go flying.

i see troublesome truck in thumbnail

The North American moose often comes up among the top three most dangerous animals in North America, where they weigh over 1500 lbs, stand over 6 ft at the shoulder, and have a temper only fractionally better than a hippopotamus. Plus, unlike almost every other member of the deer family a moose can kick in any direction. I can see how one could derail a freight train if a moose can walk away uninjured from totaling a Honda.

Moose. There is a home security video of a moose minding its own business walking along a forest edge. But, its a certain time of year. Moose antoers are not permanent. The moose sneezes, its antlers fall off, the moose utters whatever "WTF" is in moose, and runs from its own antlers. And somebody got a nice trophy for the wall without having to hunt.
