Cierra Patterson, a senior student at Lower Richland High School, plead with the Richland 1 school board for leniency during a recent meeting. Following a fight, Patterson was placed in the district's alternative school and is no longer on track to graduate on time, she said.

It’s crazy how a person trying to break up a fight because no security is present gets punished to an outrageous extreme. Is it because she’s black and at the top of her class?? That school should be sued!!!
Praying they let her back into her classes immediately. Those school officials need to ne ashamed of themselves. Because even if the point was to just punish her by her making her miss prom l, she should have been provided access to all of her classes so she could graduate on time!! And they always talking about they care about the children's education...well when they do things like this to students it shows that they don't. It is not conducive nor a proper punishment to deny the children the education they need. Fun extracurricular things for a short time, yes, but not their education.
She's an exceptional young lady and what they are doing to her is wrong! Give her back everything you took from her!

@@donotsupportterroristgroups Expecting someone to take responsibility is bullying? You obviously don't understand what bullying is nor do you understand what it takes to raise a decent human. She assaulted someone, she is lucky she didn't get arrested and charged.

@@ayianaarthur2551it's always great to make assumptions based on limited information. Do you really think letting her miss her classes is the appropriate punishment? I'm sure there are other alternatives. To say she should not be educated is extreme, don't you think? In America, everyone should receive a free and appropriate education. That's the law.....

This is how students like her get got ……and it needs to stop….. I’m going to pray for her and we as a community need to rally for her…..the school ought to be extremely proud of her and support her as well…. When God is for you Nothing can stand against you…..✌🏽♥️🩸🙏🏾😇♥️
