    I was at this game. The crowd was louder in that moment than the entire beatdown of UGA. It was truly a wonderful experience. Four years later and I still have something in both of my eyes....

      Christopher George This was at the 2012 Georgia game? Great game to be at, and I wish this had been played on ESPN instead of the usual pregame. But I imagine seeing the video doesn't do it justice...

      @@spraynardtaarkus8168 That is what I LOVED about being in the Student Section at Williams Brice: We're all family there. Even if you have never met the guy or girl in the seat next to you, put on the garnet and black, and you'll be hugging and high fiving all through a win. It's a great place to watch a game!!

      @@idunbeezasmart1 sure. But they aren't as much away from family as military guys are. It would have become slightly better in the last 20 years with the mobile coverage and all but until the 90s a soldiers job involved way too much resolve, grit and sacrifice. That said, I have a lot of respect for SD/PD officers as well.

I'm telling you, that choked me up the most. The whole family ran faster than a running back! It is very common for the University to honor a military family like that at football games, but this was the only time I've ever seen the soldier actually be there. I see these reveals all the time on UA-cam and love them, but never thought I would witness one in person. It was truly an emotional high and I'll cherish that memory always.

    Forget Seattle and Kansas City's battle to measure who has the loudest fans... I think this crowd at this moment shattered both those decibel records.

    Such a special heartwarming moment but what also got me was the roar of the crowd. Right at the moment the family started running to meet dad, the roar escalated even higher. That made it ever super special. That's what America is about. I'm very proud.

    I am Brazilian and I live in Brazil, I watch these videos a lot of reunions of soldiers returning, in addition to these beautiful moments, there is another thing that also moves me and makes me sad is how many thousands of these will never happen because their loved ones fell in battles.

    • @sonofyemen9700
      @sonofyemen9700 4 роки тому

      @@pauljohnson3340 Well he expressed it in a harsh way and of course many american soldiers are good people but the core of his message is true. America supported Saddam Hussein during the Iran Iraq war eventho it was known he used poison gas against Iranians and Kurds, they sanctioned Iraq after the second gulf war leading to the death of 500.000, all reasons for the Iraq war were lies and the invasion lead to a huge instability which caused the rise of isis. In Vietnam, Iraq and so on the US military used chemical weapons such as Napalm and white phosphourus which burned thousands of civilians to death and lead to disabled newborns even today. The USA has overthrown mutliple reform oriented governments to secure their power (such as in Iran 1953 or Chile 1973), they also surpressed workers of United Fruits in Guatemala and overthrew those who stood up against the almost non existent wages and tried to establish some kind of workers rights. Of course many soldiers have good intentions, and these should be honored. In return, those who rape children, murder famlies, shoot up civilians from helicopters, make use of napalm and chemical weapons should not be honored but trialed.
