Let me know if you find anyone that may make this.

So far, I do not know of anyone else. I would do more of them if I had the time. I do hope that changes eventually! LOL!!

Great MPG mod! Not so much HP gain. Its like sticking your finger on a garden hose. Pressure increase but decrease in volume.

I like to look at the overall picture. I've actually seen some modifications where peak numbers either don't increase or maybe decrease a few, but subsequently result in smoothing out the power band somewhere else for greater trade-offs. I'm still working on being able to demonstrate the evidence, but early dyno's I have where I ran the oem straightener showed minimal power fluctuations at two specific rpm ranges, consistently. When I dynoed with the gutted straightener, those fluctuations were significant (around 10hp, sometimes a bit more). I will be hitting the dyno again this fall or spring at the latest and will have more data then. I expect with the aluminum straightener, those fluctuations will either be nearly, or completely eliminated.

Looks like you’re using steel jump rings for securing the honeycomb to the housing. What size did you use and where did you buy them?

I purchased stainless steel jewelry rings. I might have found them at Walmart? I honestly cannot recall. It was a package of various sizes. I cut each one in half and use each half.

Hey my friend first of everything thanks for take your time to do all this job
My question is in your opinion this mod help increase the rpm do you fill any increase the horse power or is only for full economy?

      Zero impact on rpm.
IMO, the truck feels to pull slightly better at partial throttle (10-20% throttle) throughout the rpm range. No dyno, just that the truck will stay in higher gear on inclines without downshifting or accelerate on the interstate without downshifting as easily. So if I’m doing 70, I can just press the accelerator slightly and I will start gaining speed. It’s not extremely fast acceleration, but it’s felt. Like when driving a manual truck and leave it in higher gear and press the accelerator. Certainly, if I want or need to accelerate harder, just press the gas a bit more and truck shifts (with automatic trans).
I don’t particularly like talking butt dyno because it’s so subjective. But I pay attention to my truck and how it operates. I drive the same route day after day, so that’s my impression of how the truck operated differently along the same roads and terrain. I emphasis it is not a huge change, but it was noticeable to me. On top of that, I have observed no loss of power in the mid or high rpm range.
At the end of the day, I leave it for each person to decide what they believe. I’m not trying to sell anything, just share info.

Hi, I’m interested in buying a complete assembly from you for a 2006 Xterra, how can I get one? Thanks

Getting oem housing to modify has been a challenge lately. Regretfully, I do not have any units to modify and am out of the MRP aluminum air screens as well. You can email me. I keep a list and whenever I have materials to build more, I reach out to see if those individuals are still interested.

Regretfully, I am all out of materials. Getting oem straighteners has been the main barrier, as everything else I can get easily.
I've got a waiting list of guys and can add you to that if you would like to email me.
I think it's also good to have a conversation about whether this would work for you given your mods and how you drive your vehicle. I continue efforts to accrue data and, as indicated in the video, not everyone is going to benefit.
