Hi everyone,
I hope you are well, this week I am bringing to you a brand new crochet tutorial for The Unique Unicorn Wrap. This is a beautiful half circle wrap that is very easy to create. It is beautiful and features a lovely frilly border.
The yarn used for this project is gorgeous Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball, in shade Unique Unicorn (more details below).

I like the simplicity of this pattern, but because I also like ruffles a lot, I'm going to make the border a little differently. That is, I'll do the first row as you did, with three DC in each stitch, but for the second row, I'm going to put two DC in each stitch of the previous row, thereby increasing the "ruffle rate," as I call it, and the last row will be just one DC per stitch. I like the weight that will add to the bottom of the shawl, too, so that it will drape better over my shoulders and chest.
I may be elderly, but I still like the "little girl" ruffles of long ago; as well, I'm making this in a gorgeous yarn I found today: "Yarn Bee," Caterina, in Regal Rose colorway. It's a lighter weight yarn, more like a sport weight, but is very soft and has just the most beautiful colors to it. All of the Yarn Bee yarns are so gorgeous, so I'm looking forward to making more of your shawl patterns using their products.

Is there another kind of yarn I can use for making this project Shawl in a ball yarn is very hard to get in my area they pulled it out of all the stores the only way I can buy it is online I want to make this but I need to know what else I can use love you girl
Hello and thank you for your comment, you could maybe use an Aran/worsted weight yarn such as Caron cake, or Caron Latte Cake 🌸

Hey there, just a quick info: Normally you can replace the yarn with whatever yarn you like, as long as the weight is as similar as possible. I live in germany and so i cant get most of the yarns american and british youtubers use, i always have to substitute with yarn available for me.
My dear, you need to let us know how many yards in the ball of yarn and it's weight please, thank you.
