Well tnx a lot geniuses. now all the large maps from MW2 can't even be added in MW3 because they're TOO SHORT for MW3. you could run Taraq in 3.2 seconds. All the Marksman rifles are useless because you can't believe a 308 could wreck your skull with one bullet and there are new maps to be added in every mode and they had to rig a campaign in six months to justify turning it into a completely new game FOR YOU.
And how else do you expect to pair 40 year olds coming home from a 12 hour shift with 10 year olds duct-taped to an Xbox for the entire summer?
MW2 wasn't perfect but it was GREAT. and it could've had new guns and new maps and new modes for another year if you didn't look for anything and everything to whine about every single week.

See? And Fortnite does all of that. Their servers are good, not all of them are great, but they still try to make the game playable and enjoyable for everyone and listen to their players. Some things that were changed are hated very badly that they won’t change, but it’s basically a permanent change, so there’s no point. Even SBMM seems to be okay. I find people who around my skill level or a little better than me. But yeah, Fortnite fixes most bugs (especially the bigger ones), they listen to the community, they have a variety of different things to play on in the creative mode for anyone’s interests and different skins and styles that different people would love. Idk how else to explain it. Fortnite is just so fun. It’s definitely not how it used to be and I understand why people get upset, but I still have fun playing it everyday

Fortnite is not to blame its call of duty's inability to try to set itself apart from other popular shooters. Fortnite not only found its footing in the Fps genre but also they struck gold finicially and cultural impact that cod used to have a decade ago. Video was still entertaining and great, I just disagreed with the title

Activision claimed to have had a surge of WZ players. An obvious lie. On PC there are around 90K players online but what these fanboys and Activision bootlickers don't take into account is that CoD HQ isn't only WZ. The CoD HQ combines MWII MP, MWII Campaign (if you're not playing in offline mode), MWII Co-op, DMZ, MWIII MP, MWIII Campaign (if you're not playing in offline mode), MWZ and WZ to artificially inflate player numbers (specially most players play on PC nowadays) and it's pathetic.

I told him that it's missing a lot spec ops missions, survival, and round base zombie mode..not everyone plays the multi-player only

Allow me to add to another point that you don’t get that “boots on the ground” or “military fighting” Experience that you used to get back then. The newer code are like useless to play. I hate how I feel like I’m not immersed into the experience and I don’t feel like a true solider. Call of duty back then used to make you feel like a marine. It made you feel like a solider. Now the newer games don’t even do that.

yeah, fortnite is a free game, with 3x the content of most games, skins are getting a bit more expensive but i don't need to pay 70 dolars to enter the game, the battlepass has missions and sometimes good skins, while cod is full of dull and straight ass skins, so if cod is copying from fortnite they are doing a very bad fucking job tbh.

Call of Duty should be kept who likes the concept of Call of Duty. Yeah, over the year, the graphics, physics has got better, but what the hell is anime skin? Nicki Minaz skin? Snoop Dog skin?
I’m not an OG player, I haven’t ever played a single Call of Duty game except mobile ones. But I fully get the idea. I chose Call of Duty to play on my mobile over other games because it features a more realistic military theme. I don’t want anime or some random celebrity in the game. None of us do. They are greedy and trying to attract as many people as they can, leaving the real theme.
We don’t want random skins, give us skins of real war veterans, for example, I’d love to see someone with the skin of legendary sniper Kris Kyle instead of some furry skin.

When i played mw2019 i always played as either the Spetznas Mil-Sim character or Bale (spetznas uniform is one of my top favourites). In mw3 2023 the thing that had me most excited was none other than Thirst, a default operator. I prefer the look of a normal soldier.

The last cod I bought was a used copy of Cold War. In general I just can’t stand what happened to multiplayer games as a whole to the point where I almost exclusively play single player games nowadays because that’s where you normally find real good quality games. Battle passes, skins, loot boxes, pay to win mechanics, FOMO, limited seasons, where does it end!?

remember, with or without Fortnite, COD would have gone down the same path, as eventually they start adding musicians, celebrities, and even twitch streamers. a big part of it might also be pubg the problem is they were really the first people do collaboration with non-game characters, another factor I believe in my opinion is that the way the world was in the early 2000s versus now a lot has changed and what we can show and not show, my personally believe that call of duty's downfall was its own fault, instead of trying to copy others they should have just stuck with what they were doing because it was doing really well kind of. I believe most games made in the 2010s started on their downfall, I personally think call of duty still fun to play but the developers just don't listen to the community

Even if cod paid me 500$ to say their game is the best even if it wasn't I still couldn't do it. I miss playing with the boys after a long day of school grinding for master prestige. for the people who see this comment i hope yu find it interesting, i made a vow last night after playing a few more games of warzone the vow was to never spend another dollar on the game, i realized first hand the the pay to win ideology of the game and im telling you ball of duty isn't the same game i once used to have fun on i dont enjoy playing this game its builds a rage in me i've deleted and redownloaded this game 12 times since the start of march i hope one day call of duty can go back to working how it used to but for now i think everyone should get a refund for mw 2-3

I’d be hesitant to play online due to hackers but you can probably still find lobbies if you’re willing to take the risk

I remember playing clash of clans as a kid and they ruined it by making you participate in clan games while also removing global chat where you can't recruit new players? They also added mini games and skins. Console games are becoming mobile games

I remember playing cod with friends with legendary memories! BO1, MW3 and BO2 is where we spent the most time on, then we had a revivzl with cod cold war but after that it died again for good reason.

I think the campaigns are also trying to be too realistic. The old cods managed to make a fun story while still being gritty. Now it seems they cant have any cool moments.

before 2019, each cod game and developer had there own unique art style
sledgehammer was a sci fi art style, gritty and vibriant
treyarch was arcady and vibriant with colors
infinity ward was more gritty and realistic.
each game had there own flavor kinda like ice cream.
but after modern snorefare 1, each game is now on the same engine with the same graphics and art style. cold war was the last one with a unique art style.
you can see how it clashes so hard with skins. compare black ops 2 to modern snorefare 1
in black ops 2, the art style was colorful and saturated, so skins like 115 or diamond fit very well. it didn't feel out of place.
with modern snorefare 1, the game looks realistic and feels it, but then you have skins like pink anime guns and cat headphones running around, total contrast.
mw2023, vanguard, and soon bo6 do have good people that worked on them, but the freedom they had with making a art style that is unique to them is totally gone.
I love how you emphasized the point about art style. I miss how each game looked different from IW to Treyarch to SHG. Now it’s just using the same engine for the sake of Warzone I’d guess.
@@lAMDEWAN the art style is why i couldn't buy the bad excuse of "every cod is the same" because each one felt and looked diffrent from 2003 to 2018/ 2020, they all felt, looked, and played diffrent.
with the new engine, it is all the same.
modern snorefare 1, modern snorefare 2, vanguard, and mw 2023 all have the same graphics, movement, and art style, i do hope bo6 has the classic treyarch one but i won't have high hopes

Fortnite, the brain dead people that keep buying the goofy skins, the content creators, everyone.
If the cod community had 2 more brain cells and said “hey Activision we’re not going to take your crap anymore, if I wanted to play a Fortnite lookalike I’d go play Fortnite” and we voted with our wallets this wouldn’t be happening, but we know that is never going to happen. For 1 person that is against this, 5 are buying the trash bundles.
The last cod I enjoyed was MW2019 before Warzone. And before that, I didn’t enjoy a cod since the original MW3. And yes I did buy bundles during mw2019 but they were milsim bundles like Velikan, Griggs, etc.
After what I’ve seen I don’t think I ever want to play another cod.

Call of Duty just needs to go back to being the game it once was. We don’t have games like SOCOM anymore and Battlefield isn’t all that great. We only have 1 war game so they need to just be that war game

Fortnite didn’t ruin Call of Duty, Activision did. The fall of the franchise has been in effect since Call of Duty Ghosts, around that time is when Activision sold Call of Duty’s soul.
Ghosts was 100% the beginning of the end, I agree.
