@@Ophelia_Pain the entire point of this is to encourage Billie to ask for pets and tell where she wants pets. I think the owner of Billie knows how to read cat body language. She trained Billie to use the buttons after all.

Exactly my old female cat's behavior, she demands pets, moves away, demands more pets, rince & repeat. She's so annoying lol but we love each other.
Billi works so hard to train her humans, but they have yet to master feline telepathy.

Billi actually responds like any other cat who wants undivided attention to her, but her human focuses on something else. Of course, she responds immediately by pressing the mad button many times to indicate her frustration.
Sometimes my cat is standing next to me and waits for me to put my phone away and she just stares at me. And eventually she becomes fustrated and starts rubbing her head against me aggressively and bites me 😂
PS. She is staring at me right now as I'm typing this comment in the dark😬💀...
I can recall an instance of a similar dispute between myself and a (human) ex-girlfriend once upon a time.

@@PearlPaisley I know, but perhaps it is not strong enough to pinpoint it as "ouch" but rather an overall sickliness or discomfort - therefore a gereral "mad"-feeling

When I was very little a had a fractured leg/ankle something like that, and I had a hard time describing it as “pain” because it felt so unlike any pain I had felt up till then. It was more of a deep, achy feeling. But pain was a cut or a scrape, a sharp insistent pain.
Maybe Billi here is trying to express a grump/moodiness or maybe a pain she hasn’t nailed down yet. Maybe like gas or indigestion or a cramping muscle? Something bothersome.
That was what I was also thinking. If she only has a mad and happy button then she doesnt have another way to express herself mentally.
The turning her back to you sulking was a bigger MAD that ever before. In light of her last health update, is she feeling bad? She hasn't had a Mad hissy-fit in a long time!

It is funny, on that level. But cats definitely have feelings. It makes me sad to see this cat so frustrated. I've watched many of these videos of Billi, and I'm concerned that this cat is very unhappy. I don't think it's funny for a creature to be that unhappy, in answer to the comment above asking whether it's wrong to feel like this is funny. I wonder whether the writer of that comment ever considered how it felt as a child to be laughed at when it was hurting and its feelings were disrupted. It may give you an idea of how Billi feels. It's the human's job is find a way to make her happy, not frustrated. And making fun of a living creature's unhappiness - I'm sorry it may be trendy to say that it's cute, but I feel like it's so sad. Animals aren't put here for our entertainment and amusement - they have a value of their own and a right to their feelings and the sanctity of their own lives. Billi has that right.

I forget why was angry, but I was trying to help a four-year-old who was furious. I eventually asked her if she wanted to be left alone to be mad, and she said yes. This reminds me a bit of that.

I hope Billi is feeling good today. Our cat Marshall has kidney disease that has been significantly slowed by "Pet Wellbeing kidney support gold" and their salmon oil in addition to diet changes. After 6 months on them his kidney values actually went DOWN a bit. We were skeptical about it at first but the vet said whatever we're doing is working! Much love to you and Billi
