  • LINK to Ninja Foodi 2 Basket Air fryer: amzn.to/3bmN56F Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Ninja Foodi 2 Basket Air Fryer. With regular airfyers you can only cook one type of food at a time. With this Ninja, you can cook two foods at the same time since there are 2 separate baskets. Each basket holds 4 qts and comes with crisper plates. Cook food in both baskets at the same time or just one basket.
I’ve got potatoes peeled and cut up to make fries. They’ve been sitting in water for 30 minutes. I’m also going to make pork chops. These are boneless and I’ve put them in salt water so they’ll be juicy. It’s best to put them in brine because they do tend to dry out quickly. To my plain breadcrumbs, I’ll add salt, oregano, rosemary thyme, mix that up. To another plate, add all purpose flour and ground black pepper. Crack an egg, salt and pepper. Whisk that up. Take the pork chops out of the brine and put them on a paper towel lined plate. Pat them dry. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, Rub the seasonings into the meat, turn over and season the other side. Dip each chop into the flour, then the egg, let the excess drip off and then the breadcrumbs. Both baskets have the crisper plates in them. I’ll put the chops in one basket. 4 small chops will fit in a single layer. Slide the basket into the left side of the unit. The potatoes go into the second basket. I’m cooking one lb of cut up potatoes. I’ve patted them dry and tossed them 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Slide that into the right side. Press power, 1 is illuminated, I’ll choose airfry, set the temperature to 390 and the time to 15 minutes. Press 2, airfry, temperature is 390 and set the time to 20 minutes for the fries and press start. Like most airfryers, this unit sounds like a fan. I’ll press pause so I can turn over the chops and shake the fries. It’s best to do this with most things you airfry. Turn over the chops, use silicone tipped tongs that won’t scratch the surface. The breadcrumbs look pale because I didn’t brush them with any oil. I’ll brush the other side with oil. You don’t have to but that little bit of oil will give the chops a golden brown color. Put the chops back in. Shake the fries up and Press start to resume cooking. The chops are done. The fries will continue to cook. Take the chops basket out. Press pause, Shake the fries and press start. The temperature is 165 and 170 for the chops. The current guidelines say to cook pork chops to 145 for rare to 160 for well done. So if you want it at 145, check the chops at 12 minutes. I used boneless chops that are not thick so they cook quickly. The breading is crispy. The meat is juicy and not dried out although the temperature was above the recommended 160 for well done. Definitely brine boneless chops, it’s the key to keeping them juicy. The fries are done, cool will be displayed and then END. They are cooked but most are not crispy. I’ll cook them for 5 more minutes. I’m cooking more fries in the first basket that’s why the timer is running. 5 minutes are up and the fries look more golden now and they are crispier. So 25 minutes is good for fries.
13 minutes for onion rings 20 minutes for tatertots.
Here are some other things I’ve cooked in this Ninja. I’m reheating fried chicken...and yes it’s popeyes. I used the reheat function at 350 degrees and set the time to 15 minutes. After 7 minutes, the internal temperature was already at 125. I moved all the chicken to one basket and added fries and biscuits to the other basket. 7 more minutes and everything was hot and crispy. When I reheat in my average toaster oven, not high end, it takes longer and the inside of the chicken is never as hot.
Here, I’m toasting frozen waffles using the airfry function at 400 degrees for 3 minutes. Turned them over and cooked for 2 more minutes. They were perfectly cooked. Really quick breakfast with homemade blueberry sauce. These are frozen breaded fish fillets, airfry function at 400 degrees and 10 minutes per side. Sorry I don’t have a finished picture but they were golden brown and crispy. In my toaster oven these would have taken 30 minutes instead of 20. I could have actually pulled them at around 16 minutes but I like them really toasty. It is definitely a time saver because it cooks faster than a standard oven and some toaster ovens.

Worth bearing in mind when thinking about the cooking time, it may seem like only slightly less time than a conventional oven, but you eliminate the pre-heating time which with my NEFF can be up to 10 mins if I don't use the boost function. Extremely important to note when thinking about running costs!

Hands down best review ever 🙌. I'm looking to purchase a new airfryer, but I was torn between the corsori or the dual ninja. Everyone just loves the corsori but what made me watch your wonderful review was. You stated you can air fry a meal at the same time prefect. One question for you do you feel like the exterior is plastic and it should be steel. I looked at it in the store and wasn't sure. Sorry so long but this was the best review I seen so far for this airfryer.

I’m hoping to like it because I stopped frying about 10-12 years ago because i wanted my family to eat healthier and I didn’t want to deal the mess and disposal of oil. Fingers crossed that everything will go well.

I have one of these; can't imagine anyone serious about dehydrating fooling with this thing. Each side holds about 1 sliced banana--for a bunch of hours! Fortunately, I have a real dehydrator that's not only easier to use, but has a realistic capacity. Great review here-

I know this is an old comment, but for anyone reading this unit does dehydrate fairly well. You can buy stackable mesh trays (Amazon) that'll fit in each drawer, 3 levels each for a total of 6, and dehydrate much more fruit or jerky than trying to just lay a single layer in the bottom of each basket.

Hello! love this video, very helpful. Question, I would like to make hard boiled eggs in this dual basket. I would only be using 1 basket for cooking about 4 or 6 eggs. I've googled this question, it depends on the air fryer brand, but most everyone suggests 270 for 15 mins. However the lowest temperature this air fryer goes is 300. I've tried it for 14 mins, and with several attempts up to 9 mins the egg shell was completely stuck and parts of the egg was dry. So what do you suggest I do? Thank you!! Caroline

@@Sufficient4UsIsAllah I have a Cosori air fryer and I love it, I've had no issues with it at all. I don't really care about your opinion and I don't agree with it. Not trying to be mean, just being honest.

Is there a way to make 1 huge basket for a rectangle cake? I am trying to decide if I want an air fryer

I've seen a few that are 10qt capacity but they are square baskets. Your best bet for something like a cake (assuming you don't want to use a regular oven) is to grab one of those large capacity toaster/air fryers that basically look like a portable oven.

Your reviews are the best but can you tell me honestly is there any advantage in having this over a good free standing flat bed combination microwave oven?

We ripped out out oven because we never used it and was taking up valuable room. We have a large breville air fry oven and 2 other air fryers plus lots of other small appliances. We also have a smoker just in case we need to cook a really large turkey or something.

Hi Dennis, thanks! Air fryers are not an oven substitute since you can’t fit a large cake and certain types of pans, you are limited by size. If you have an oven and patience, then you don’t need to get an air fryer. My standard gas oven takes almost 8 minutes to heat up. Air fryers are a time saver because they’re smaller and heat up fast, food is done much faster than in an oven. That’s the real advantage. It’s especially useful for reheating and frozen food 😁

Get one of the large ones that are a combo with a toaster oven. You can bake large things, rotisserie a chicken, etc. You may get 2 baskets with this one, but they’re small. If you want to cook two things at the same time, you’re best off getting two full-size AFs - like 2 Cosoris. You can roast a whole, good sized chicken in one of those.
