Ninja Foodi 2 Basket Air Fryer DEMO and REVIEW

- LINK to Ninja Foodi 2 Basket Air fryer: amzn.to/3bmN56F Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Ninja Foodi 2 Basket Air Fryer. With regular airfyers you can only cook one type of food at a time. With this Ninja, you can cook two foods at the same time since there are 2 separate baskets. Each basket holds 4 qts and comes with crisper plates. Cook food in both baskets at the same time or just one basket.
I’ve got potatoes peeled and cut up to make fries. They’ve been sitting in water for 30 minutes. I’m also going to make pork chops. These are boneless and I’ve put them in salt water so they’ll be juicy. It’s best to put them in brine because they do tend to dry out quickly. To my plain breadcrumbs, I’ll add salt, oregano, rosemary thyme, mix that up. To another plate, add all purpose flour and ground black pepper. Crack an egg, salt and pepper. Whisk that up. Take the pork chops out of the brine and put them on a paper towel lined plate. Pat them dry. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, Rub the seasonings into the meat, turn over and season the other side. Dip each chop into the flour, then the egg, let the excess drip off and then the breadcrumbs. Both baskets have the crisper plates in them. I’ll put the chops in one basket. 4 small chops will fit in a single layer. Slide the basket into the left side of the unit. The potatoes go into the second basket. I’m cooking one lb of cut up potatoes. I’ve patted them dry and tossed them 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Slide that into the right side. Press power, 1 is illuminated, I’ll choose airfry, set the temperature to 390 and the time to 15 minutes. Press 2, airfry, temperature is 390 and set the time to 20 minutes for the fries and press start. Like most airfryers, this unit sounds like a fan. I’ll press pause so I can turn over the chops and shake the fries. It’s best to do this with most things you airfry. Turn over the chops, use silicone tipped tongs that won’t scratch the surface. The breadcrumbs look pale because I didn’t brush them with any oil. I’ll brush the other side with oil. You don’t have to but that little bit of oil will give the chops a golden brown color. Put the chops back in. Shake the fries up and Press start to resume cooking. The chops are done. The fries will continue to cook. Take the chops basket out. Press pause, Shake the fries and press start. The temperature is 165 and 170 for the chops. The current guidelines say to cook pork chops to 145 for rare to 160 for well done. So if you want it at 145, check the chops at 12 minutes. I used boneless chops that are not thick so they cook quickly. The breading is crispy. The meat is juicy and not dried out although the temperature was above the recommended 160 for well done. Definitely brine boneless chops, it’s the key to keeping them juicy. The fries are done, cool will be displayed and then END. They are cooked but most are not crispy. I’ll cook them for 5 more minutes. I’m cooking more fries in the first basket that’s why the timer is running. 5 minutes are up and the fries look more golden now and they are crispier. So 25 minutes is good for fries.
13 minutes for onion rings 20 minutes for tatertots.
Here are some other things I’ve cooked in this Ninja. I’m reheating fried chicken...and yes it’s popeyes. I used the reheat function at 350 degrees and set the time to 15 minutes. After 7 minutes, the internal temperature was already at 125. I moved all the chicken to one basket and added fries and biscuits to the other basket. 7 more minutes and everything was hot and crispy. When I reheat in my average toaster oven, not high end, it takes longer and the inside of the chicken is never as hot.
Here, I’m toasting frozen waffles using the airfry function at 400 degrees for 3 minutes. Turned them over and cooked for 2 more minutes. They were perfectly cooked. Really quick breakfast with homemade blueberry sauce. These are frozen breaded fish fillets, airfry function at 400 degrees and 10 minutes per side. Sorry I don’t have a finished picture but they were golden brown and crispy. In my toaster oven these would have taken 30 minutes instead of 20. I could have actually pulled them at around 16 minutes but I like them really toasty. It is definitely a time saver because it cooks faster than a standard oven and some toaster ovens.

Great review and instructions! I already bought one at Costco on sale before I saw this but watching your review helped me feel I made a good decision for my needs.
I have seen several reviews This is, hands down the best one by far
Thanks for the video. I just purchased and brought home my Ninja dual basket air fryer. I'm going to try this out right now. Thanks a lot for the video.
Thank you! 🎉 you are amazing. I needed this I bought one two days ago I was struggling how to use it.
You are so welcome!
Worth bearing in mind when thinking about the cooking time, it may seem like only slightly less time than a conventional oven, but you eliminate the pre-heating time which with my NEFF can be up to 10 mins if I don't use the boost function. Extremely important to note when thinking about running costs!
This was a lot of fun to watch,. Thanks for making it. Mine is coming in 2 days, so of course I'm super curious and excited.
Thank you so much for such a detailed review. Great job.
Hands down best review ever 🙌. I'm looking to purchase a new airfryer, but I was torn between the corsori or the dual ninja. Everyone just loves the corsori but what made me watch your wonderful review was. You stated you can air fry a meal at the same time prefect. One question for you do you feel like the exterior is plastic and it should be steel. I looked at it in the store and wasn't sure. Sorry so long but this was the best review I seen so far for this airfryer.
Thank you! Very descriptive, clear and helpful!
These insightful gifts generously offered, most assuredly, after watching this video, I/we feel nurtured by the thoughtfulness gifted from this entity.
Thank you
This is an amazing video! Really helpful! The best one I’ve seen! Thanks for all that helpful info! I just bought one, so this helped a lot!
Glad it was helpful 😁

Glad it was helpful 😁

@@bestkitchenreviews Can you help me look at certain factors between DZ201 and DZ401 where one would benefit from the other?
I ordered the 10 quart unit the other day and your presentation was a great introduction!!! Thanks
Glad you liked it 😀
Great review! Would’ve liked to see you do a whole chicken. Can’t tell if it is big enough. Thanks.
Absolutely the best information about this air fryer! Thank you for posting! Do you have a recipe book?
Thanks for great information
First! And I've been shopping for this, you've read my mind!🤯🤯
🤩
I own this 8 qt air fryer since May, it’s the best air fryer ever!!! been using it since I got it, now I just have to wait and see how many months or years before it breaks but hoping it’ll last for yearssss
Thanks for sharing 😁
Do you have to flip the food over as well?
Very helpful. Thank you
You’re welcome 😁
Thanks for your thoughts on this unit.
😁
I just got this today, it’s my first air fryer (I’ve never even used one before) and I can’t wait to use it tomorrow when I get home from work. I’m hoping to like it because I stopped frying about 10-12 years ago because i wanted my family to eat healthier and I didn’t want to deal the mess and disposal of oil. Fingers crossed that everything will go well.
Thanks for sharing 😁
Update?
She's busy munching;)
Hi Anita, with all the air fryers you've reviewed which would you say is the best?
Excellent video...thank you.
You’re welcome 😀
Just boughtnone it gets to my place Sunday I can't wait
Thank you for the Video best explanation ever
😁
Me bachelor..need food...Ninja good...me dumb...fries good
Thank you so much I just bought it.
Enjoy 😉
Great video ! I have this one and love it , l have read that the right side is hotter .
Thanks for sharing 😁
I have one of these; can't imagine anyone serious about dehydrating fooling with this thing. Each side holds about 1 sliced banana--for a bunch of hours! Fortunately, I have a real dehydrator that's not only easier to use, but has a realistic capacity. Great review here-
I know this is an old comment, but for anyone reading this unit does dehydrate fairly well. You can buy stackable mesh trays (Amazon) that'll fit in each drawer, 3 levels each for a total of 6, and dehydrate much more fruit or jerky than trying to just lay a single layer in the bottom of each basket.
nice review . thanks for sharing
sending my love and support from philippines 🥰🥰🥰🥰✨✨✨✨
Thank you for reviewing this item, well explained and informative,; furthermore, thank you for saving me from the reading of instructions 😆😅
Glad it was helpful 😁
I love my ninja air fry but have to cook foods one by one. I think I'll be getting this dual zone one later to make my life easier and I love the smart finish feature too.
Thanks for sharing 😁
Thank you!
Great presentation, unfortunately, they were sold out on Amazon I did add it to my shopping list thank you for reviewing 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Thanks 🙏
HSN has it.
Go to Cosco
Hello. Could you do a comparison between the 5 in 1 foodie grill vs this unit?
how well does the dehydrate function work? definitely a cool feature if it does a good job
Hello!👋
Thank you for this excellent video!
Can you please do one more using the dehydrate feature to see how fruit like apples came out????
Pleaseeeeeee🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Interesting helpful video thanks, you mention frozen food would set to low heat to start for few minutes then increase the temperature when the food is warmed through or set normal temperature. Have you or will put video on the Ninja 400
Great video! Now I feel ready to give it a try. Question...are those labels on either side of display supposed to stay there or am I supposed to remove them?
Keep them there, why take them off? It's there to help you so you don't need to keep reverting to the booklet every time you cook something.
It looks cleaner without them...but that is the OCD coming out in me. They do serve as a quick reminder.
Only 805 views in 1 day!? Your 105k subscribers need to step it up!
Excelent video, thank you. To use only one basket, how do I program to turn off or disable the basket that is not going to be used, to avoid unnecessary energy consumption? Thank you
Its default mode is set to 'off' you have to turn it on to cook rather than turn it off to disable it. I hope that makes sense.
do you have a video on reheating fully cooked burger meat [beef or turkey] and heating frozen raw turkey burgers
Please can you make a video for how to bake cake in the Ninja foodie 2 basket air fryer next .🙏🇺🇲
I noticed you used the recommended cook time for single zone, but used both sides. In that case, shouldn’t we be using t cook time for dual zone?
Hello! love this video, very helpful. Question, I would like to make hard boiled eggs in this dual basket. I would only be using 1 basket for cooking about 4 or 6 eggs. I've googled this question, it depends on the air fryer brand, but most everyone suggests 270 for 15 mins. However the lowest temperature this air fryer goes is 300. I've tried it for 14 mins, and with several attempts up to 9 mins the egg shell was completely stuck and parts of the egg was dry. So what do you suggest I do? Thank you!! Caroline
Bake function should go lower
Haai.. We have the NINJA FOODI AF400 at home. He,s very strong, match power, High temperatures 230 degrees , 9,5 liters, very fast..we are happy with te ninja foodi af400....thanks for this video.
GREETINGS FROM THE NETHERLANDS
Can you tell me if your Ninja Dual Basket Air Fryer makes a clicking sound when you are cooking food in both baskets at the same time. I don't notice the clicking sound when I am only cooking in one .
Is it normal to hear a ticking type noise, every 30 seconds or so, similar to an flat top stove burner heating up? Doesn't sound like a fan issue noise. Just curious.
Great and informative video. I JUST got my mine (10 qt) delivered today and am anxious to try it out. I have never brined anything before. How much water and salt for 2 pork chops and for how long, please? Also, should they be rinsed and dried afterward? Please keep up the good work.....Thanks in advance!
Hi, I didn’t measure but about 3 cups water and a tbsp salt mixed in. Brine for 4 hours, even an hour or two will give you juicy meat. No need to rinse. Pat dry chops and cook how you like. Here is my pork loin recipe from my Anitacooks channel if you’re interested:
ua-cam.com/video/JmYkhrBJ5kk/v-deo.html Enjoy 😉
@@bestkitchenreviews Thanks!
@@bestkitchenreviews I'm cooking wings today which I am assuming can also be brined. I forgot to ask in my previous question......should meat, poultry, etc, be refrigerated while brining?
So instant pot has a dual one as well...havent seen any videos comparing the two of them as yet
Bro I got mine today and made Chicken it was hella good 👍🏻
I wonder how the upper of the air fryer to be cleaned?
Yes
How's cleaning? I have a Cuisinart (had it for several years). It works good, but it is a royal pain to clean.
How about cleaning the upper element part of the fryer? I assume that the fan blows oil up into the ceiling part of the basket zone.
Just curious - is there a reason why you're not using the smart finish function? It's supposed to insure both items finish at the same time.
I think I’ll get this for my sister, a house warming gift 🎁 😭
Wish U were my sister amazing gift!!!
Tell her I said hi
What foods can you cook with air broil feature
I thought yo uhad to set the one side to finish the same as the other instead of the chops cooking first ,the chips would be done the same time .
hello, your nija air fryer has food description and temp when i click on the amazon site i dont see that on the box. Is it a different machine.
Is possible toast bread with that air fryer?
Can u make jacket potatoes in this and if so what temp should i use and for how long and what temp to air fry chips and how long, sorry ive only just got mine today so i dont know any help i would appriciate it thank you.
what bis better ninja 2 basket or ninja gril and griddle
I got this one yesterday and one side stopped working, only the fan works but the heat doesn’t.
Can you use foil or parchment paper ?
How do you make freanchtoast
French toast???
???
Who the hell is out here eaten there pork rare😂 thats super bold. Awesome video though! Thanks for the info!❤
These times seem way too high my current air fryer takes 10 mins at 400° to cook fries... 25 mins is way too high!
This was awesome!! Thank you! I was not sure which Ninja Foodi I wanted to buy but this review made it clear this is what I want! My only question is, has anyone used the air fry feature to do hamburgers? Are they juicy or dry?
MN m
Mon9×
If they are thick Patties then they will be juicy. For thinner Patties would recommend the roast feature
Is this ninja foodi a newer model cause I recently bought one and mine doesn’t have air broil nor bake on it
The Walmart version does not have those features. You will have to check with the location you bought it from and see if they are selling the Ninja version Ninja or the version shipped out to Walmart and places like that. $139.00 one doesn’t have it , $179.00 version does.
All the food you made looks delicious! Can you do a review of the Cosori air fryer sometime?😁 It's on Amazon😊
I wouldn’t bother with the Corsori. It’s not non toxic :)
@@Sufficient4UsIsAllah I have a Cosori air fryer and I love it, I've had no issues with it at all. I don't really care about your opinion and I don't agree with it. Not trying to be mean, just being honest.
Is there a way to make 1 huge basket for a rectangle cake? I am trying to decide if I want an air fryer
I've seen a few that are 10qt capacity but they are square baskets. Your best bet for something like a cake (assuming you don't want to use a regular oven) is to grab one of those large capacity toaster/air fryers that basically look like a portable oven.
Is there a drip tray?
Your reviews are the best but can you tell me honestly is there any advantage in having this over a good free standing flat bed combination microwave oven?
We ripped out out oven because we never used it and was taking up valuable room. We have a large breville air fry oven and 2 other air fryers plus lots of other small appliances. We also have a smoker just in case we need to cook a really large turkey or something.
Hi Dennis, thanks! Air fryers are not an oven substitute since you can’t fit a large cake and certain types of pans, you are limited by size. If you have an oven and patience, then you don’t need to get an air fryer. My standard gas oven takes almost 8 minutes to heat up. Air fryers are a time saver because they’re smaller and heat up fast, food is done much faster than in an oven. That’s the real advantage. It’s especially useful for reheating and frozen food 😁
Get one of the large ones that are a combo with a toaster oven. You can bake large things, rotisserie a chicken, etc. You may get 2 baskets with this one, but they’re small. If you want to cook two things at the same time, you’re best off getting two full-size AFs - like 2 Cosoris. You can roast a whole, good sized chicken in one of those.
I ordered mine off Amazon….I did not get the timing chart or the recipe book😩😩
Is it works separeated?
