I live in the rural part of the Deep South. Once I knew I didn’t want kids, most of what I thought about (until I found my current partner) was “How in the world am I going to find my match?”. Now that I have, most of my thought goes into the pleasures of being Childfree: free time, travel, hobbies, etc. 😁
Becoming a father didn't happen for me in my 20s, in my 30s, and probably still won't happen as I approach my mid 40s. At the same time I've never really been curious or have the urge to want children I guess it really is true that kids just aren't for everyone. Even after many of my peers and siblings became parents I'm happy for them and love and enjoy spending time with their little ones. However, I still don't find myself wanting my own so I think we'll spend our time enriching ourselves both mentally and physically. Also, staying in good health for as long as possible.
I don't know if I asked this on another video but for Rick: Have you ever been asked if you actually decided to be childfree or if Vanessa made the decision for you? I've seen some Reddit posts where his family put all the blame on the IL.
The only good example of male weaponized incompetence 😂 Him pretending to not know how to change diapers? Genius. STOP MAKING YOUR KIDS TAKE CARE OF YOUR KIDS!

So happy you found a partner! Yes, the perks of this lifestyle are priceless IMO.

I'm single/unmarried and childfree all by choice. I like the freedom to go out and do what I want when I want.
