Sad to say but yet so true. "The family farm is gone" Around hear you will get run off the road if you are on a tractor by people rushing to get to their place on the lake so they can grill their steak, bake their potato and toss their salad with cheese, bacon bits and croutons and never give a single thought that the individual whose life they carelessly endangered could be directly responsible for that meal. Trust me, I have been that man on the tractor many times. Only by the grace of God!

Agreed the government should give big farmers money or something to pay there workers more cause its the farmhands who work nearly everyday without barely any days off and sometimes less than minimum wage with no overtime and benefits its really under appreciated and people use it to their advantage should just make big farms like any other industrial setting workplace

I thank you for being a farmer. I'm not. But I sincerely appreciate you and those who are. I live out near potato farms and have seen some if not several go to growing houses. I started life when there was 150 million people in this country and my childhood and teenage years, 200 million. Now there are well over 300 million people creating a conflict between housing, and food to put into those houses. Not good. Choose LIFE. Choose Jesus. Time is running out.

When things get rough and you have a blow hard banker. You drive to every bank until you find a banker willing to do the work. When that banker gets transferred and they stick a coward in their place. You start driving around again to every bank until you find another banker willing to do the work. Many farmers have gone under because of blow hards. Try across the street first. My friend got lent out of trouble by going to a different branch. Found somebody that did not like his manager. She helped.

(long post bear with me) He ain't kidding about the family farms being a thing of the past. It's sad and unfortunate. My grandparents(mom's side) were dairy farmers and had a pretty good dairy farm near a river. I love listening to my grandmother's stories of those days. That's how they provided food and a roof for my mom, aunt, and two uncle's. There were multiple farms nearby pretty much all gone now. They all helped eachother out. Someone's tractor went down everyone went and helped. Someone finally could afford a vacation for their family everyone came by to look after the place. She told me you woke up early every morning and went to work till the sun went down. The Kids were always either helping or outside playing and knew when it was time to get home for dinner. Unfortunetly my grandpa in the mid 80s got the cancer and passed soon after. Never got to meet him. My gram told me his parents came from Holland during the great depression and we're farmers there. He was born and raised to farm but was also a very smart man. He got accepted to west point but before he went he nearly lost his arm in a haybaler accident. It left it disfigured and bent but he could still use it and work with it. From all accounts he was a good man
My gram fell on hard times after his passing, lost my aunt, and had to sell the farm. But the land was polluted because a big company dumped chemicals in the river nearby and she sued them and she settled outside of court got some good money. Through it all though she never lost faith in God and almost never skips church. She is still with us at 89 and still mows and rakes her own lawn, grows her own garden, still sharp and reads books like crazy, and goes for a walk almost everyday.
My parents built our child hood house on one of the fields that wasn't contaminated. It was a great place to grow up with nature all around. When I was a kid My gram would take me to some of the bigger farms still in operation to see the cows, tractors and so forth.
Sad my parents had to sell it due to divorce but they both remarried and I have great step parents.
Sorry to make this so long but that line this great man said about family farms being gone had me reminiscing about my grandmother's stories of her days as a farmer. I wish I could give farming a try but I doubt I could ever get by.

I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is your Son, And that he died on the Cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and Savior. I repent of my Sins and will Worship you all the day's of my Life!. Because your word is truth, I confess with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed by the Blood of Jesus! In Jesus Name, Amen.

If you use your own money it's a business. If you use the tax payers money it's just a hobby funded by big brother.

A banker is the biggest theif upon the earth. It is illegal for a bank to loan you money. Therefore a bank can not loan you money or credit. When yiu sign the prommisory note, that note becomes a negotiable instrument. So for what ever the amount is,you just wrote the bank a check.
