Felt the same way about my Papaw♥️ when I went home for his funeral, I woke up in the middle of the night and heard him say “girl bring me some dirt”. So the next day I brought some dirt from his farm and sprinkled it on his lowered casket. Gave me some peace 🙏🏻♥️ so we all decided that we would do the same for all our family members that loved the farm and the gifts it gave us ♥️
Your grandpa was a great man and loved his family dearly. Look in the mirror my friend your granddaddy is looking right back at you. You talking about him today echoes how much he loved and cared for you. What a precious privilege...
My granddaddy was 5’5” I’m 6’3” I felt so small to him, me and him we were in the hay fields day in day out, he out worked me like no other in my prime and he was in his 60’s and 70’s in those days, I’m 38 now, and every time I feel a bone or a muscle hurting I keep pushing because of him and those hay fields, the horses we broke together lol, he would help me lead rope break them, and then that was it, it was all up to me, there were some days he would come to the breaking pen and just watch me, and then he would say, do this and then do that at certain moments that I never understood, and now with age and wisdom nowadays he was showing me what horse was willing to do that day, Grandpa was a horse whisperer he always had a gentle hand with them, I never seen him touch one in a painful way, it was always with a soft hand and a gentle pet alongside that front shoulder, after an eruption, wink wink me getting bucked off lol, but I can’t remember a time after that, where I would have an eruption, maybe some crow hops or not wanting to listen , but he would always wait for that eruption and after that it wasn’t easy but it was always easier, cuz not only would he talk to the horse he also talked to his grand boy, miss you granddaddy
@ I love Booger Brown. I loves this man's story. wish I could meet him and work cows with him one day. the man has alot of wisdom and the passion to push through the struggles of farming. much respect for this man. AL/FL cattlemen...
You are already teaching Matthew. And telling stories about the ones who has passed away in our lives, it is a way of keeping them alive , in a way. And I see how much Matthew loves your grandma. His great grandma now. Booger , keep telling your stories. Maybe you should write a book. God Bless.
My grandpa was the greatest guy. He worked the land everyday and what a hard life he had. I would be so happy to have him see what I have and how I work the land in his memory. Miss him everyday What a great role model
Booger seeing you and your friends in your videos just healed my soul knowing there are kind, caring men. All men in general should go back to there roots. Theres so much unkindness in this world. I pray for the families so many values have been lost. Now men are cold mean, dont care for there families, and so many women there souls and spirits are broken too. This world just needs to return to basics. The land, family and love for one another, there children and nature and importantly God.
Mine wanted to know about the cows too when I came in.. He loved the cows like me.. Im a 5th gen farmer and 3 gen cow trader and a first gen cowboy.. Lol both my grandads are the reason cows are my life I lost 1 of them early on tho and lost the other 4 yrs ago when I was 37.. I know thier with me tho I can feel em both everytime I touch a cow! And that's everyday
Loved what You said, I'm a granddaddy and I haven't had much interaction with my grandsons, somehow I dropped the baton but I remember and love my z grandfathers
I miss my pop as well. That man would beat me and my brother when we were wrong and work us like dogs in the field but we always got what we wanted and needed. Kinda wrong with the beatens but I don’t steal and know that work is how you make something of yourself. He was evil a bit but had some pride about our name and his country. People don’t have this anymore because it hurts feelings and makes people grow a spine they don’t have or want.Toughen up America before we lose it completely. When an elder speaks you shut your mouth and listen to the lesson not try and teach it.
What a great story Booger, I could tell you were close to your granddad. Makes me sad that I couldn't have those grandfatherly moments, as I didn't know either of my biological grandfathers and the one grandfather I had was far away.
Thank you for sharing this. I never knew any of my grandparents and when I hear what you're saying... I miss them all the more... But it's okay... It gives me some comfort to remember they were all still there when I was born... so I know they met me... To be able to talk to your granddad the way you did... was such a blessing. Cherish the memories. I know you do.
I never had a grandpa. One, I never met. The other passed when I was maybe four years old. That's what Heaven's for ... Coming soon to a planet near us ...
I love Bugger Brown! He’s the sweet younger brother I wish I had. God bless you, Chris and family. Stay safe and well...
Amen. "He's got my name." I was hoping to hear that.
