The flag effects in the Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway attraction at Disneyland are now working again, however, outside of that, everything else in the video should be the same 👍
another small difference is that the train cars in disneyland switch their order differently than the ones in hollywood studios (for example: in the carnival scene the third car in hollywood studios becomes second while the third car in disneyland becomes last). disneyland does this so that each car gets a fair experience!
The exit from daisy's dance studio is also different. WDW exits front left of the room while DL exits back right. That's probably part of the reason for the extra tunnel and scene mirroring at the picnic
There's one other thing. The screen explosion in the Disneyland pre-show has an added screen effect that makes it more violent. They also use waaay more fog, making the overall effect way more convincing.
@@Omega_Mart_Employee_K1Z They added like two extra black "pow" effects, instead of just the screen rip. You kind of have to compare the two pre-shows to see it, as its a little hard to explain.
Perspective-wise, I think Goofy waving towards the left makes more sense at that particular moment since he does have windows and visually, M&M are to the left of the train before it makes the turn. If Goofy had waved to the right, it would look like he was waving at a wall. Also, I think the “long barn” at the end is supposed to be a covered bridge.
Most of the changes seem to be timing adjustments to make sure the last 2 cars aren’t losing out on the story. I’m betting most of those will be ported back to WDW during their rides first major maintenance and upgrade. Some other differences such as DL’s covered bridge at the end stem more from the different shapes of the ride buildings. The DL Toon Town building is longer and narrower than Hollywood studios GMR theater building.

There is one other change in the amusement park scene. For obvious reasons, the poster for "The Great Moving Ride" has been removed, replaced with a simple "Tickets" poster, albeit with the ticket dispenser in the shape of Mickey's head.
Yeah to me the Disneyland version is a mixed bag. Some great improvements in pacing, but removing so many moving physical props, especially in the factory transformation, is kind of lame. The "2.5D" effect was one of the main selling points of the ride but now it's mostly just flat projections, more so than in Hollywood Studios.
@@infinitydash I love the immersive experience and the projects are cool but moving away from practical effects is not the direction i want to see. I want a fair mixture of both because that is what makes these rides so fun. hell i'm 40 and you would think i'm my 8yr old daughter going. it's amazing.
They probably did it in order to make the ride more reliable and decrease downtime. After all, the fewer moving parts there are in an attraction, the less likely it is to break down. I will agree that the end result isn't quite as visually impressive though, especially in the factory scene.
@@RetraCarteR I 100% think that it's cost and less Research and development less engineering etc. they save so much money in cost not using practical effects. it's not that they break. it's the cost differential is huge. Saves money while people still pay. it's a no brainer.. the problem is that we can protest the non practical effects but there is families born everyday that will gladly ride the ride. it's just changing. its sad.
Another thing to note is that Minnie's voice actor changed from the DHS and Disneyland versions. Russi Taylor was able to record all of her dialogue for the DHS version before her death in 2019. The added dialogue in the Disneyland version was recorded by Kaitlyn Robrock. I'm not sure if this meant that she rerecorded all of Minnie's lines or if a mixture of her and Russi were used.
I sat in the first car. I never felt there was a lull in the progression of the storyline. You’re constantly looking around so much that any actual lulls (if there were any) were a non-issue and we’re noticeable.
3:38 Doesn’t it do the same type of thing at Disney Land, minus the falling track switch. I remember in the ride from Hollywood Studios I hear the tires screeching with Mickey and Minnie’s car moving slightly and it looked like they were getting ready to catch up to us.
Actually the ticket poster in the carnival says “5 for a Dime”, which is a nod to the Toontown 5 and Dime, a store that they removed to add in Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
For more recent POVs added at the Disneyland version, I’m sorry to prove your Wrong but the flag back and fourth effects works at the Disneyland park version too especially my first ride on it 6 days ago! 5:44
i have a theory that the reason goofy looks and waves the wrong way in the picnic scene is because it is a scrapped animation from the original version
Yeah, I've seen a lot of people point out that because Minnie has a few new/different lines in the Disneyland version, Disney must have changed Minnie's voice. Apparently, their simple reasoning is that because Disneyland's ride didn't start development until after she passed away, Russi couldn't have POSSIBLY recorded unique dialog for it. News flash, folks: voice actors record lines that end up going unused ALL THE DAMN TIME. When recording the voiceovers for the DHS version of the ride in 2018/2019, Disney intentionally made sure to get more content than they could possibly hope to use so that they could pick and choose what to include in the final product. When it came time to make Disneyland's version and they wanted to change up a few things, they used the archival audio from the original recording sessions wherever they needed new dialog or alternate takes. Russi Taylor definitely still voices Minnie in Disneyland's copy of the ride. All of the "new" voice lines are just old voice lines that we haven't heard before now.
After watching goofy at the end facing the same way at Disneyland, it finally makes sense why they kept him facing left… Look at where Mickey & Minnie Appear the moment Goofy says, “Hey Picnic’ers!!!” Mickey and Minnie are to-the-left of the locomotive. So, Keeping Goofy saying hi to the left makes sense.
Here are the only Mickey Mouse voices in which I am more comfortable with: Bret Iwan = Disneyland California Chris Diamantopoulos = Walt Disney World Florida
I haven’t ridden the Disneyland version of this ride but I have ridden the Disney World version of this ride and I loved it but I hope I can ride the Disneyland version soon but since u’ve ridden both which version is ur favorite Disneyland vs. Walt Disney World?
I personally prefer Disneyland’s since the queue builds better into the ride. I also like the fact that no matter which car i ride I will always get a similar experience unlike at WDW
Thats a blanket statement based on opinion with zero backing or citation. Many adults and kids also enjoy it im sure it doesn't spin on its own and you arent forced to spin

It didn’t really matter but still good to know
They also fixed goofy at the end. Now he looks forward instead of the left when waving st Mickey and Minnie.

yeah so you can't see the hole moving up from behind the bottom of the screen
The screen effect looks worst in Disneyland
I like the additional spinning animation the track switch does when hit. Adds to cartoonyness

Been on the one in Florida about 10x and the one at Disneyland 2x now. Disneyland's is clearly superior
The factory transformation scene looks so much better in Disney World’s version.
I would agree.
Really high quality content dude. Great video as always!

I don't understand why they changed the flags! They were on a role with the other decisions! Now that part will stick out to me.

@@bubblespoof999 Yeah, that's a good point. The up-front cost is probably also a factor.
I hope Hollywood Studios gets a refurbishment with all the scenes that might be confusing for anyone in the third and fourth cars.

It also seems that Disneyland's preshow has a larger screen, so Goofy hanging next to the hole at the end is smaller to compensate.
So basically the first 2 cars get a few moments of emptiness at DL while the last 2 Miss more at DHS

Chris Diamantopoulos = Walt Disney World Florida
Both versions are voiced by Chris Diamantopoulos. Not Bret Iwan at Disneyland version.
I asked this recently but I need to know: what camera are you using? the image quality and the low light performance look great
Very informative. Thanks for posting.
I've only rode in the 1st or 2nd car at DHS so I didn't realize how much car 3 and 4 miss out on.
Dont you think Goofy waving the wrong direction might be more a nod to goffy being.. well goofy?
Just gonna say it, you totally dissed Roger Rabbit's at 0:07 in the video 😆 Great video though!
We were thinking the same thing
I needed a way to make the video sound more dramatic lol
thanks for the break down. glad you saw what i was seeing.
could be just me.. But, The ride vehicles are wider. more adults per row. we fit 5 adults in one row comfortably.
The first thing I saw was that after de dance scene in Hollywood Studios the cars leave to the left. And in Disneyland they leave to the right.
A lot of really intelligent changes.
the flags in the carnival scene in the disneyland version now move; i guess they weren't working when the ride first opened
Donald’s truck moves in the jack hammer scene in hs but doesn’t move in Disneyland
This was a good attraction don’t get me wrong, but I’d much rather still have the great movie ride at DW
Great job
Before you get to city room there is a Club 33 door on right side I do not if it there Hollywood studio attraction
Great video!
It’s a trombone in the twister scene. Not a trumpet
Awesome video.
I've noticed that when you rejoin Goofy, his rambling is different each time. Is this true for both parks?
I am pretty sure Goofy's randomized Dialogue is only for California. I haven't heard it in DHS version yet
@@LMGVids interesting. When I went on he said "and that's where I hid the gold"
Another video I saw he said "and that's why it's called Potatoland"
The flags in the carnival scene move in DLs version. I saw a video of it.

Disneyland’s version is better but I wonder why the factory scene is slightly different
Is the wheel chair car still being the 4th car? I like how Disney realise the problem. Wonder why they didn’t think about it in the first place
I havent seen a wheel chair car yet so I can’t exactly say
Disneyland load queue there is left queue line for a wheel chair car and ready to be add
They need to update the queue at DHS asap
Michael hood tornado was fake too
isn't it "Disneyworld Hollywood Studios" ?
No. "Walt Disney World" is the resort complex as a whole, "Disney's Hollywood Studios" is the name of the theme park the attraction is located in.
It's Rebooted In DisneyLand!
DL IS SO SUPERIOR
Volcano got fake
ah more lava

Families of all ages couldn't enjoy roger rabbit? In your intro You made it seem like this is the only toon town dark ride
Many small kids don’t like Roger Rabbits cartoon spin and many adults can’t take the spinning
Thats a blanket statement based on opinion with zero backing or citation. Many adults and kids also enjoy it im sure it doesn't spin on its own and you arent forced to spin
I also wrote it to be more dramatic, I dont understand why you are so up and arms about a single sentence in a 10 minute video
4:24 "worser"????? 🤔
Each car having a sound effect makes no sense it’s supposed to be one train
If you've been on the Disneyland Railroad you'll hear that each car makes a sound as the train starts moving
you contradicted yourself, each car is part of the whole train so they sound different cause of speed, physics, gravity, etc
A train has slack between each car so when it starts moving each car starts at a different time
In a real train, each Car begins moving at a Different time, so it makes a sound when each car gets tugged forwards
@@LMGVids But the engine should start at once
I never liked disney trackless rides
It's grossly underwhelming. Good for small kids and foreign guests.
Ride remains lazy video screen garbage. "Attractions" done on the cheap with an absolute paucity of imagination or innovation.
