How to change a spark plug on a motorcycle? Small yet vital parts of running any gasoline powered engine out there, motorcycles are not exempt from this. Spark plugs are basically a device used for delivering an electric current from an ignition to the combustion chamber to ignite compressed fuel and air mixture via an electric spark. Sounds simple right?
If you've owned a motorcycle for a couple of years, chances are that you've come across issues that have led back to your spark plug. Like stated above these are small yet vital parts and if they start to have any part of them not work properly it could mean that your bike starts to show and give you problems.
In this video, I quickly go through some of the common signs of a bad spark plug. Knowing at least the common signs of a bad plug could help you diagnose and be well prepared to fix your motorcycle a lot quicker. I also give you a quick tutorial on how to actually change the plug. Before filming this video I used to think this was a more complex job than it actually is! This task could easily be amongst the most easiest maintenance tasks to do on any motorcycle.
