anyone who claim that this song isnt hard to play simply because its metalcore, they dont know what they are talking about.. great cover samus, keep it up
I mean, my first foray into the greater metal world was metalcore, so I "get it" but I just don't see how anyone ever liked All That Remains, they always seemed as contrived as anyone else and nothing they've put out was ever much different than previous stuff.
No clue what you are talking about here man. The album this song is on is freaking incredible, start to finish. And fyi, nothing they've done since this album has been really anything like it (because they got all radio friendly after this record).
Well, actually it depends on the people, for me, in example, is easy to cover this one. Maybe not for all, but it is for me. On the other side, prog metal is not easy for everyone and as a fellow drummer I can relate that it is one of the most challenging subgenres, asides from tech death
Russell Heaton Every failed video, I might should add. 216 bpm was hardly the fastest (no where close to even top ten). I remember laughing every time I saw one of those videos back in the day. The uploader almost always had no clue.
I was listening to you cover this song. You were doing a great job. Suddenly, I heard a single syllable of clean vocals. My body suddenly started shutting down. My life started flashing before my eyes. My children downstairs started screaming for me. There were car crashes on the street outside. Sirens began going off everywhere. People ran in terror as 30 collective seconds of clean vocals destroyed the entire planet. Oh wait, that didn't happen because I'm not an idiot.
djent is totally a genre Who's crying? Crying is an emotion. People resorting to personal attacks when they have no rational response to the points raised are being emotional. Seems to me you're the one doing all the crying. Learning to agree to disagree is the smarter thing to do. ;)
All that reamains Band..they gave us a very soulful song ...in the metal core their drums beats ,Guitar intro, solo, and their vocalist Pure as studio voice on stage tooo ...Just Amazing ...! When I will have kids I will prefer this Band ...❤️❤️❤️
Literally been on a Samus binge and man... I actually am starting to prefer the sound of your covers over the studio versions. Fuckin amazing punch to the chest with your tone man.
Drums have always fascinated me ever since I was a kid. I've never ever been one to want to play music or sing but I can enjoy listening to someone play. It's like a whole different level with drums though. I know guitar and singing are difficult at best but drums seem to be even more difficult, at least in my mind. I don't know how people can play like this, it just amazes me. I have to sub just because this has amazed me.
Great cover! You know what I like about you? You cover anything from metalcore to power metal to pop punk to whatever you feel like. We need more people with open mind like you. F**k the metal elitists. Keep up the good work. You should cover Bruno Mars to piss'em off ;)
Is a very difficult song to play and I'm sure it took him a while to learn it because to play that perfect as you can get it is extremely impressive... Hands off Samus incredible drummer..
This is amazing. End of. If anyone disagrees that this is superb then they just haven’t got the slightest clue when it comes to drumming. Amazing song, amazing cover, just full on awesomeness
so so so good Samus. you're such an inspiration to me as a drummer, I just wish I could be half your level of skill! that fill out of the solo is one of my favourite fills of all time.
Thank you Fear Factory for influencing these early 2000's "core" bands with your magic formula. This brought talent back to the metal genera and buried "nu-metal" and radio friendly metal for a good long while.
Vilgoth Lalc to add onto that, he doesn't need to worry about the dynamic with triggers. Doesn't necessarily make him bad, but a phenomenal drummer does so without triggers. I.E Blake Richardson of btbam and Matt Halpern from periphery.
Better than the drums recorded on the record! I swear, it bothered me every time I heard those kicks going off time when I was younger, but I still loved this album.
"Mimimi I don't like clean vocals", are you here to watch Samus play or to hear the song?!?! I don't know half of the songs that he plays and some of them is not my fav type, but I'm subscribed to watch the videos of he playing. If I want to hear the song itself, I'll go to the band channel.
that switch to half time with the bass at the chorus is still one of my all time favorite drumming arrangements in any song
It's the 2 punch harmonics in the break that gets me
Yea it really adds something

thesuperboscar metalcore drumming isn't easy at all

First of all: WHO the fuck ever claimed that that song was easy to play and Second of all I want to See them play it 😂
2:51 I just love how this is so smooth. Such a beautiful fill.
one of the best metalcore albums ever, I don't care what anyone says.
Daniel Seale ascendancy by Trivium is up there too
Plus alive or just breathing by killswitch engage
@@mattdavis9331 Can't spell metalcore without KSE
Well you’re not wrong.
Oh, I just walked into a chat where I belong. Hello, brethren.
Life was good when those albums came out, can I go back? Lol
ATR are still the goat. Mad to think this was 2006!
What a flawless cover. This is what unseen work looks like...all of the time practicing over and over. Not many can cover music like this. Great job.
Every "top 10 fastest double bass" video from 2007.
Russell Heaton Every failed video, I might should add. 216 bpm was hardly the fastest (no where close to even top ten). I remember laughing every time I saw one of those videos back in the day. The uploader almost always had no clue.
The funny part is that Slipknot's Eeyore is way faster and it came out in 1999.

Brian So what you're saying is, to not be an idiot, we have to enjoy the same music that you enjoy?
Nope, just saying hearing music you don't like isn't going to kill you.
Brian people true people do act like this when they hear cleans lmao
Never suggested it was going to kill me. I just stop listening to it because it does nothing for me. Simple, really.

its crazy he can just nail any song exactly how its played haha.
when All That Remains kicked ass
All that reamains Band..they gave us a very soulful song ...in the metal core their drums beats ,Guitar intro, solo, and their vocalist Pure as studio voice on stage tooo ...Just Amazing ...!
When I will have kids I will prefer this Band ...❤️❤️❤️
This is completed to perfection and so well produced that it could be the original drum track!
Great drummer,kit,sound, everything... 10/10!
This drumming is just... absolutely incredible. Blown away! So tight.
Know absolutely nothing of the genre or the band, but the drums in this were CLEAN! Great work.
Shannon Lucas is a beast: All that remains and friggin TBDM. You nailed this song.
Absolute god like. Quite possibly my favorite drum cover on youtube. I'm still searching.
dude thank you!
Great song, great cover!
Literally been on a Samus binge and man... I actually am starting to prefer the sound of your covers over the studio versions. Fuckin amazing punch to the chest with your tone man.
The most important metalcore album of all time imo
i'm not a fan of metalcore... but this is one of my all time favorite tunes :3 you nailed it entirely!!! Keep up the good work man!!!!
i love old All ThaT Remains, thanks for this cover Samus! you Kill IT!"
This is probably the best drum cover I have ever seen. Major props.

Dude this is quite amazing!!
If you want a bit of a challenge, you should cover a song by Ne Obliviscaris, they're fantastic.
Wyatt Loftus oh he knows lol. I've seen a comment of his on 1 of Dan Presland's vids.
Absolutely. Devour Me Colossus for sure.
Dan's stamina is through the fucking roof
100% agreed. I've seen few drummers with the stamina and endurance of Dan Presland.
david diepold

Best part is that no one can say he's not talented or "metal". He plays in a fucking tech death band, and they're badass.
the double bass in this song is sick. good cover.
This song is relentlessly quick, great work!
Awesome drumming one of my favorite songs
Amazing drum version of this great and difficult song. Congratulation Samus, you are a genious ImI
You people are so lucky. I've been so inspired for all my life by you drummer's. I couldn't afford a kit.
I work for rent and food.
dude your covers take me back to the 15 year old me. youre amazing
Knocked it out of the park! Great job dude 🤘🏻
Is a very difficult song to play and I'm sure it took him a while to learn it because to play that perfect as you can get it is extremely impressive... Hands off Samus incredible drummer..
one of my favorites from this band, performed flawlessly bro... congrats bro!!
His hit marks on the heads showcase his precision and consistency

This cover made me happy! Surgical precision my friend....
cover My Fears Have Become Phobias by As Blood Runs Black!
Ectoplasmic was thinking about that Lech in the Studio vid. Crazy double bass.
Ectoplasmic I second that, any song from Allegiance album, you know.
F1337 hey welcome to 2017
Time doesn't change a good song.
One of My faves to Play and listen
DUDE! I remember seeing this live and you nailed it!!!!!!
Holy shit! Best drum cover I have ever heard!
Do something of The Faceless
Planetary duality
*something about how core sucks*
*something about play something hard*
*something about how I can only breathe from my mouth*
how do you type bold in youtube?
I'm Bored you need to put two ** before and after whatever you want to bold*
Some Kind Metalhead **bold**
I don't think anyone makes fun of All That Remains for their drumming lol
That fill at 2:50 though... Heart just exploded.
Today when I woke up I noticed the sad news, that I once again had cancer. But watching Samus, cured me once again.
Thank you Fear Factory for influencing these early 2000's "core" bands with your magic formula.
This brought talent back to the metal genera and buried "nu-metal" and radio friendly metal for a good long while.
any chance of a video showing your double bass technique?
ThePhantomDoctor indeed!!!
ThePhantomDoctor triggers
+Vilgoth Lalc he is still playing at that speed tho
ThePhantomDoctor yea, but he doesnt need to care that much about a constant sound or force
Vilgoth Lalc to add onto that, he doesn't need to worry about the dynamic with triggers. Doesn't necessarily make him bad, but a phenomenal drummer does so without triggers. I.E Blake Richardson of btbam and Matt Halpern from periphery.
Killing it. Effortless and snappy.
AMAZING MIRACLE
I've been planning to cover this song on my drums for quite a while now. I figured you'd have a video up. Thanks as always 🤘🏼😎👍🏼
My GOD that was clean! Sick ass cover!!
Imagine playing a Full concert on songs that fast.... Congrats and mad respect for Jason Costa.
Amazing dude, just amazing

The quality of this is so much better than the original song
Hearing this at the end of Saw III turned me into a ATR fan at the age of 7...
Damn time flies
best ATR album, in my opinion. YURRRRRRR!!!
Cool. Perfect inturp 🤘
You should cover some Vital Remains
