Have to agree, considering youtube his is full time job I'm surprised he can't manage more than 1 vid every 2 weeks 🤷♂ but yeah he is my favourite UA-camr too
The craftsmanship displayed in this restoration is truly extraordinary. Every part of the car, down to the smallest detail, has been carefully and lovingly restored. Your work not only revives the car but also tells a beautiful story of dedication and skill
Dude! Sweet! Friday evening. NNKH with a 47m banger. I really like how you put everything into one video. I enjoy every single video of yours from 0:01 - End.
Wife and I love the channel, congratulations to you on a beautiful child on the way! We absolutely love Gus, been watching him grow into quite the handsome little man! Blessings to you both, thank you for your videos!
Love the videos man! Just some advice that cavitation plate above the prop should be level with bottom of boat. Will help get optimum speed and planing. Keep it up your awesome!
German automotive engineer: great videos! exemplary work and impressive knowledge of engines and vehicles! Respect and greetings from Germany! Here's an idea: in many videos there is such good music. How about an NNKH Spotify playlist for all the mechanics out there :)
Chris you used to show a lot more of you actually wrenching. You’ve gotten away from that little bit. I would love it if you showed more of you fixing and repairing things in depth like you used to.
I was towing river rafts on the Tuolumne and their were some kids trying to compete with me with a 8' jon boat, they sunk everyday they tried! Great entertaiment.
Good deal. I had a flat bottom JON boat w/ a 20hp Johnson. What a blast to open it up. Scary but not so bad if someone sat all the way in the front. Congrats..
had a buddy cut the bottom half of a old 90s jet ski and half ass attach it to one, was absolutely awesome. We didn't do it right so it cracked and ripped the aluminum bottom but that summer was fantastic. Could go 35 mph in like an inch of water .
100% old guy approved weekend entertainment. Thanks for the great content. Great to see Jen and the baby are healthy and doing well. Saved the evening watching some other goofy stuff.
1:04, Definitely an armstrong boat, at this point. I like the way you do your videos, since you update us on everything you are working on in one video. 15:50, just a bit scary with an engine on the back and only one person. 39:30, You and Jen need a place like this.
Chris - Great vid - as always! I grew up on a Lake, and on the Rivers of the Chesapeake Bay, and the Bay itself. Throw in a couple of Sounds... and that's been my Life on the water. My Grandpa worked for Johnson Motors for 40 Years.... brought our Family out of NY and to where we are now. And I was weened on an 81' Johnson 9.9 with a 14' Fisher Marine John Boat. That's how they taught me. That Motor is still in action today - and we still run it once in a while, and let the Kids run it now, to learn. You are spot-on. These Motors are some of the best pieces of marine equipment ever built! If you take even half-way decent care of them... they will last forever! My Fisher Marine would probably run 25 or 26 up on plane. Somewhere around there. Edit: LOL That Jon Boat is Toast! She's seen her day. But that motor will run forever, and on a stable and safe boat... will be great for years to come. Love it!
LOL I HAD THAT SAME BOAT. IT WEIGHED NOTHING,WHICH MADE IT SO MUCH NICER PULLING IT UP THE RIVER BANK. THATS ONE OF THE BEST OUTBOARDS YOU CAN GET,BE SURE TO CHANGE THE IMPELLOR.
When I was 16 I had a 14' fiberglass flats boat with a 6.5 HP Chrysler long shaft sailboat engine. I bought it with the trailer for $1500 and it ran great. It was plenty to get that 14' boat up on plane.
Greetings NNKH from the UK. Watching this at 3.45 am as i can't sleep, usually watch you later in the day. Great channel love you tinkering with the engines and cars that have been sitting idle for years. Love the old rat look Mustang. Your a top mechanic Chris and congratulations to you and Jen with the baby.
Glad to see your post Chris. Jen and the baby look like their doing well. When is she due? Just curious. That boat is scary! The Chevelle looks great with the bigger meats out back. Sounds incredible with the new exhaust. The Pocono race looks like it kinda fun for Jen, she seemed a tad uncomfortable. Keep up the great work bro! Peace! Ed
We had the same graphic 7.5 Johnson motor, My Dad picked Johnson over a mercury and evenrude. We had it on a 12ft aluminum v haul boat and we needed 2 or 3 concrete 1 gallon paint can boat anchors just to keep the front down while operating alone for balace. That little flat bottom is good for a 3 or 4 horse power motor and duck hunting, or a safety dingy. ❤ I would get a long fuel line extension to keep the tank up by the front seat or keep 30 or 40 lbs of anchor up front, Cooler of beer, would work 🍻😎 Aw..... The memories of the youthful days in the 80s and 90s on Lake Champlain in VT with my father and family. Take care, Hope Jen and everyone are doing well 🙏🏻
34:40 yeah baby, getting some big tires in the back, love the steel rims. Slowly getting the Chevelle into sexy territory, if the manual swap works out. BTW. so happy for Jen and you. Her singing and you both having a colorful music taste alone, will be the best environment for a kid. Best wishes for the pregnancy and all. So happy for ya. love it.
Of course, I gotta be honest with you.Brother, you were pretty much in my backyard at that shop and I like these all over videos were yet do several things.I like it brother.Keep it going and bless you both and mister gus
A couple of modifications on that little john boat would make it more stable like those clamp on outrigger pontoons. Getting a free 8hp johnson outboard was nice.
Chris, you guys are something else! Great video vignettes and glad to see Turbo n Gus so chummy. Thanks for sharing them two. Great to see Jen doing well with the pregnancy also. Remember, STICKERS/DECALS! 👍
TECH TIP on any situation bell housings to engine block for alignment to grab the engine and line it up quicker. or big cylinder heads that might slip or slide because of the angle. i just did it on my heavy ass dodge v10 or like on a v8. instead of relying on the dowels. next time put two cut off long bolts with the heads cut off. if the dowels are missing. then with your grinder cut a slice on the top of the stud. where the head was. so just in case you can back it out with a flat tip screwdriver, put the studs you made in the drawer for next time. used that trick on putting engines in. the dowels are only 3/4 or so sticking out tapered. make the bolt stick out further helps in aligning the engine to the tranny easier
Thanks man, I really needed a video. I lost my 'Turbo' equivalent of 18 years this week. Always love the boat content. Hope you and the rest of the family are well.
You are the best content creator on UA-cam , this stuff is better than anything on tv , I look forward to your videos every week , what makes your channel so special is the resourcefulness and how realistic your builds are for most people , making the best with what you have without wasting money on unnecessary things , I really hope you continue to make videos for as long as UA-cam is a platform , I don’t care what the content is if you were changing the oil on your tundra I would watch , Thanks for the entertainment and knowledge that you share with us and I know I’m not the only one that feels this way
It was hilarious watching you in that tiny boat! NASCAR races are awesome to watch live, I was super jealous of your VIP access, that would have been a blast even at my least favorite track. I refer to that track as Jokano because it's usually a really boring race.
I been watching your Ch since the end of 22 and wow how far you have come - |I think the first I watched a vid of you replacing tyres in your old works. And now your got a sweet garage in your back yard.. I just wanted to say keep up amazing videos and love the laid back by very informative information you give too.. I know when Jen has your little one, If she is half as smart as you 2 - she will be following in your footstep before you know it.. Best wishes and luck for your fams future.
perfect little striper getter, also good for fresh water anywhere - the 8p is more than enough and perfect match - if you get handle extension will solve a lot of issues
such a good little dinghy engine still sought after by cruisers- so easy to store on deck, reliable and you can fix it with a butter knife.. wish those motors were allowed on the US mkt
Another great one! I love when you do these type of shows. You are an interesting cat my friend and thanks for taking us along. Best to the "Lovely Ms Jen" and sassy face Gus.
Looks fairly close to my 1985 Evinrude 8hp, but I think yours is 86-88. Excellent motors. That little plastic cam follower is the same thing that broke on mine after 20 years. My mom bought me a 12ft Valco and the 8hp Evinrude for my birthday back in 1985 and I still have both. The Evinrude still runs like new. I change the oil in it every year and change the plugs and grease it occasionally, and that's it. The only three parts that have needed replacing are that stupid plastic cam follower you showed, the plastic clip on the tilt pin that yours is missing, and the power pack a few years ago. Plastic parts that flex are a bad idea and 2 of the 3 parts I've had to replace in 40 years are plastic. When my power pack failed it would drop from full speed to idle speed intermittently every couple minutes, and after listening to the boat shop mechanic and cleaning the carb, replacing the plugs, rebuilding the fuel pump, replacing fuel lines, and probably other crap, I finally replaced the power pack for like $130 and it ran perfect after that. That lever you flipped that held the motor tilted when you dropped it down is the shallow water lever.
Thinking of digging into the big block in the Chevelle? Its smoking a bit. Would love to see that! Fan of really anything you do Chris. Keep up the good work. Jens always entertaining too.
Maybe in the future! For now it runs good enough so I'll keep running it. Definitely burning some oil from worn out valve guides or seals. Saw that when we popped off the headers.
Had to stop this great video to comment: If Hollywood ever need a sequence about a anxious man in a small boat, they could buy your clips from 16:20 :) What a boat, would be equally safe to put the engine on a tincan. :p
Always love when I can sit and watch Jen & You & Gus having a good time. I've always said "The good lord didn't put me on this earth not to have a good time." You and Jen live up to that. And as for watching these videos. How could someone watch and not go to the very end? I watch them multiple times and always watch to the end. You never know when something good will happen. Keep up the good work.
Wished you posted more often. One of my favorite UA-camr

Love the videos man! Just some advice that cavitation plate above the prop should be level with bottom of boat. Will help get optimum speed and planing. Keep it up your awesome!
If there's one thing I love, it's watching your boat motor vids! So much needed knowledge 📚

I laughed so hard watching you in that little boat!😂
Chris you are one of the most talented UA-camrs out there. Wish you were my neighbor. 🍻
Yeah jumping around on the content is good ...thanks....🔧🔧👍
Chris, if you keep the drain plug on the inside of your boat, you can pull it (while under way) and drain any water you have. Thanks for sharing.
Always a watch...that boat is a mini Titanic...
Best UA-camr out there. Keep it up Chris ! Your videos are the best.
Thanks man and Will do!
Ahh NNKH. The only channel I smash the like button before even watching.

Dang Gen gunna be a DD by the time the baby comes!! 😂😂😂
As they said in “Jaws”….”we need a bigger boat!”. Another video…thanks NNKH crew.
Spider!!!! 4:54
Fun fact, this kind of "daddy long legs" spider is actually incredibly venomous. It just can't bite very strongly.
@@purpleidea No, they are not.
They cant produce either venom or silk.
I only went into the comments to see if someone said anything about the spider
Sketch would be another name for that little boat. Stay safe for Jen and your little one coming soon.
Jon boats are the best. I suffer fron launch anxiety. 12 footer tossed in bed of an S10. Goin fishing! Love the channel, great video!
I just love how much stuff you somehow fit at your house. Impressive!

39:12 That property there is a perfect combo. layout, character, workshop, garages and green yard. Nice.

Baby bump very noticeable. How far along is Jen. Can't wait for gus's reaction to the new family member.
noticed that too
Had no clue you guys were expecting!!! Mustve missed it somewhere, congrats man its a feeling like no other when she's born
Keep posting Chris. You're in the top 2 of my favorite UA-cam channels.
I appreciate that man thank you for tuning in
They make a very inexpensive extension and that’s exactly what you need for your throttle
I'll have to look into that. Certainly will be a nice upgrade for this. Thanks
A bit of pvc pipe would suffice, it's what I would use when I was out on a boat.
Awesome Video Chris ! Thanks for taking us along ! Oh loving my new NNKH T shirt !
Thanks man and appreciate you coming along. Also thanks very much for ordering a shirt
Another awesome video by NNKH! big Nascar fan here.

Another excellent video, very enjoyable. You really know how to take the viewer with you for the ride. Excellent, keep 'em coming
Traffic at pocono. I remember when dover had traffic jams from middletown to the track. I always wanted to camp at the pocono race
A couple of modifications on that little john boat would make it more stable like those clamp on outrigger pontoons. Getting a free 8hp johnson outboard was nice.
From Canada. Look forward to your videos every week. Best of the best on UA-cam Absolutely love your content

Dude! That looks like the boat they used in the Flex Seal commercials! Did you bring your can of Flex Seal?
I have one I custom painted and made into a mailbox. All my neighbors say I have the nicest Johnson they ever saw.😁

Done this to slide a manual trans on before.

Guz is the best, I can hear his ears going "flappity-flap" while running. Greetings from Copenhagen.

such a good little dinghy engine still sought after by cruisers- so easy to store on deck, reliable and you can fix it with a butter knife.. wish those motors were allowed on the US mkt

Turbo and Gus have really bonded. Great vid as always!
It’s the perfect combination between entertaining & educational! Thank for always brings us a lot man.

Even Gus knew that boat was a little sketchy!
Decided to watch you first over VGG’s car show video. Nice dude!
Greatly appreciate you tuning in man! Thank you
AWWW Gus and Turbo are so cute together, and they really do love each other like siblings lol, great vid as always, keep em comin!!
Thinking of digging into the big block in the Chevelle? Its smoking a bit. Would love to see that! Fan of really anything you do Chris. Keep up the good work. Jens always entertaining too.

Lay down in the back of my camper van right on the beach and watched every minute. Chris doesn’t miss. Best automotive creator on UA-cam.
I think the boat missed that flex seal spray. Make a video with the flex seal. Show that it works. Nice boat Nice work.
Watch out, there’s a huge spider on your sleeve at 4:54
Same decals on my 1988 15 hp Johnson. Parts are hard to come by especially carbs.
Congratulations to you both, (just noticed) love from the uk.
OMC had a factory in Calhoun Ga back in the 80s/90s. That little 8hp was probably built there.
Always love when I can sit and watch Jen & You & Gus having a good time. I've always said "The good lord didn't put me on this earth not to have a good time." You and Jen live up to that. I love working on old outboards, super cool watching you work on everything from full size cars to little motors
Glad you brought your Life jacket. You look so funny in that ding a ling row boat😝. White caps will sink you beware.
