After years of vowing to establish a daily yoga practice, I finally did so at age 62, and just 26 days into it, I slipped on a log while hiking & fell and shattered two bones in my left wrist. I was determined to carry on, and after searching for wrist free options, I found your practice, and it has become my favorite. I practice 3 to 4 times a week, and am so grateful not to lose all the ground I had begun to make. Thank you, and bless you, Maris. : )
aww hun this both broke and warmed my heart. I am glad you kept practicing while listening to your body. I am 30 and recently got some kind of disk injury and I know it is because I did not listen enough to my body! I didn't mean to -- I just didn't know how. The injury helped a bit to do just that. Hope your wrist is better now!!
I feel the same way - I'm 61 and just started getting into yoga - I recently injured my shoulder and was tryng to find a way to continue - this has been my favorite practice so far!
I never comment on UA-cam videos, but I had to say how great this flow was! A great lower body challenge as I recover from a sprained wrist. Thank you! I'm looking forward to following more of your videos :)
Thank you so much! I’m recovering from elbow surgery after a bike crash. These strong poses made me feel like myself again, just with a big weird robot arm brace. 🤖🙏🏻🌻
My upper body is sore from my HIIT workouts with weights and pushups. I wanted a yoga practice and this was perfect. I will return to it again. Thanks Maris.
I've been really ramping up my practicing because I am going to a yoga retreat next month. Long story, short: I had an incident last night in which I needed to get three stitches in my hand, so finding hands free yoga classes ranging from 30 - 45 minutes has saved my practice! Thank you!
Thanks Natasha! I offer a variety of classes here - some wrist-free, some not. Here's a playlist of all my wrist-free classes - ua-cam.com/play/PLCt_FzY6JsJ6eBRNZf1v9yBvXIlC8WSLJ.html
I love your teaching method, but this seems rather advanced, although I appreciate the minimal use of the hands. I'm going to look through your other videos. Thank you for posting.
That was so good for my wrists. I know lots of people who have tendonitis due to wrong yoga poses. Especially beginners who were not enough strong already. I wish more yoga teachers would take the time to inform their students about this and teach them how to strengthen their body in order to prevent possible injuries. A big thank you for that!
Suffering from tendonitis in my wrist so this was a perfect practice right now. Please do variations for beginner/intermediates. Love your calm and clarity. Thank you. Namaste.
Maris this is Awesome. I had rotator cuff repair surgery last August and leading up to it and for months after my shoulder has been in horrible pain. Long story short, I overdid in my zealousness to return to my practice. I found your videos and I am in heaven! Thank you so much for doing these videos. Like the other commenter, I did break a sweat (and my room isn't hot :-)) This fantastic.
A short yet complete practice that is kind to my wrists and elbows, but is still challenging with the balances and twists-- thank you, Maris! I've been nursing a tennis elbow these past 2 weeks and have been advised not to put any weight on it during practice. :( I appreciate the chair poses, twists, and even the navasana! I needed that savasana at the end, too. Thank you for completing it on the video with me. I'm glad I checked out your many uploads that are wrist-free. I'll check out the rest for sure. Namaste.
+Devi Benedicte I. Paez Hi Devi! I'm sorry to hear about your elbow. :( Hope it gets better soon. Yes please check out the other wrist-free classes. I believe I have 8 videos in that style. I'll keep adding more! Thank you again for practicing with me and letting me know about your experience. Namaste :)
I really enjoyed this practice. Nicely paced and a good balance of stretch and strength. With the core work, it's a great full body practice. Thank you!
I broke my fingers, so I've been scouring UA-cam for hands-free yoga videos. This one is good, but it's falsely advertised; there are definitely times when hands are used. Thankfully, I am an experienced Yogi who knows how to modify when needed. Thanks for the video. I'll definitely be using it again (with my modifications).
Began yoga a little over two months ago, after turning 60 years old. Quit smoking 14 months ago and have embraced a healthy eating lifestyle. Unfortunately I broke the third and fourth finger on my right hand two days ago. Was so worried I would have to stop yoga. With a few modifications I was able to complete this morning‘s practice and it was amazing. Thanks so much for sharing it. Namaste🙏🏼
AHHHHH! Another amazing class. I hope my wrist gets better so I can try your regular vinyasa flow classes but I am and will be eternally grateful for these hands free classes. They have been heaven sent. Thank you....you are a wonderful teacher. Namaste. xo
This is my first practice with you. I am a regular yogi, but broke my left arm 3 weeks ago, so have very obvious limitations. I have missed yoga more than any of my regular activities. This class was such a gift. I could do the whole thing with only minor adjustments. I feel wonderful and look forward to doing this practice again. Many thanks! Namaste.
Man alive!! I needed that. 💜 Thank you for the gentle instruction and for reminding us that we are “almost there.” Also, I appreciate the absence of downward facing dog. I’m beginning my practice again and that move has always been an eye roller. 😆
Lovely. Tweaked my shoulder on madly fast plank based session ( not for me) so wanted hands free for a couple of weeks. Challenging but so restorative and I could listen to your voice all day - thank you!
I don't leave comments on social media platforms, but this yoga practice was SO good I had to break my rule. Thank you! For an ex gymnast my wrists are very sensitive, but I love yoga so that was a difficult path to navigate. This practice was the perfect blend of relaxing and challenging (especially for my legs!) and even got my heart beating pretty good! Thank you SO MUCH!
Very nice leg strengthening flow! Glad I found this since I sprained my forearm and elbow uuggh. This flow made me feel kinda normal since it's my first yoga practice in a week and a half😁💙💚💜. 5/31/24; 10/2/24
The is THE ONE! I love this flow. I come back to it at least once a week. I like the slower pacing and challenges to the legs and abs. I always feel peaceful after completing this routine. Thank you.
when i broke my wrist i thought i would not be able to practice yoga until i was healed, this video was a blessing for me to be able to continue my practice. thank you!
You're welcome! I'm glad you're still able to practice. Hope your wrist heals soon. In the meantime, I have several videos that are wrist-free yoga flows. Here's the playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLCt_FzY6JsJ6eBRNZf1v9yBvXIlC8WSLJ.html
I fractured my wrist this week and want to continue yoga. Thank you so very much for this beautiful, rejuvenating practice - my whole body is stiff from the fall.

Thank you for this hands-free practice! This was my first practice with you and I appreciated your soothing, meditative voice and nice long savasana at the end!
Hi Maris, thank you so much for this video. It's short but sure is sweaty! I really like this setting too, quite open and there's a lot of light. I always enjoy practising with your videos, keep 'em coming! :)
Thanks for joining me for practice! This was filmed at Westport Yoga KC, one of the studios where I teach. I'm still recovering from childbirth so it will be a while before I post any yoga flow videos. Hope you stick with me!
That was fantastic! The perfect mix of yin and Yang movements and perfectly built up to the apex postures with a proper Sun A B and C! ( I’m ERYT and it’s so hard to find good sequencing in some of these videos but here you are! Namaste and thank you for giving me some yoga love while my wrist is broken!
thank you so much for all your "down dog free" videos. I have a lot of issues with my wrists and elbows and these videos that don't put strain on the arms are of huge benefit to me.
really enjoyed this video a lot! i'm nursing a shoulder injury and can't support myself on my hands like i'd need to in downward dog or plank. cant wait to do this flow again! thank you!
Thank you so much ❤ That was the perfect start to my day. Very much appreciate being able to practise without putting pressure on my wrists and shoulders.
Thanks Maris for a wrist free practice packed with useful poses. I was sweating profusely and felt it throughout but my wrists were smiling all the way for the break.🌹💕

Great practice I stretch my legs and really feel it, I sweat some and at the end I felt soft and relax, on svanasana I almost get sleep. Thanks for sharing, namaste
Thank you for your wrist free classes. I just discovered your channel after tweaking my wrist, and am so glad! Dear Maris, I recently found you here, while looking for hands-free-Yoga. I had a surgery on my left thumb and my whole hand and wrist is out of order and needs now time to heal. As I am practicing Yoga since 1 Year with my German favourite UA-cam Yoga teacher Mady Morisson, I missed my daily practice. Unfortunately she has no hands-free-practice in all her videos. Wonderful - flowing enough to energise, slow enough so each movement can be truly embodied 🙏🏼
Thank you for not telling us to stay in savasana as long as we can and ending the video. Love the way you stay with us till the very end. :)
Perfect morning practice for my painful writs and shoulders. :) Namaste.

You can do this!
