If you want to learn to use the stall in freestyling you need to learn how to counteract the spin after the stall with the opposite airroll. Once you have that down its so easy to do chained resets or other stuff
Yessss nice video! I saw people asking in your chat the other day while I was doing stall doubles when we played a freestyle 1v1 the other day, well explained, my advice to anyone trying to learn it, is press the buttons In order first then speed it up so it is more like pressing them all at once. 1. analog ➡️2.directional air roll⬅️ 3. Then jump ⬆️
Literally second try after this video. Something I wasn't sure was worth putting time into. It's actually so easy to do, applying in game is going to be the real challenge. Thanks for the great video!
its true, learning from you is soo much easier that from most other content creators, they never explain it as well or as detailed as you do. so thank you for being out here and helping is all!!
how to stall easily (only works if u have both keyboard and controller) 1. change ur air steer right, air roll left, and jump all to space 2. keep ur controller in front of ur keyboard 3. jump with ur controller and press space after the jump now you are a god at stalls
Hey I actually had someone recommend your videos to me and they are a lot better then anyone else’s because what you mentioned in this video is right. You explain things a lot better then most people.
Thank you so much. I could already stall but I couldn't stall for freestyling and now I know it's just the deadzone. Again thank you for this have a good day
Please upvote this so everyone can see!! It *doesnt work* when u have the *free air roll* and *jump* on the same button! It worked for me right when I changed this!
I can stall ez on ground, but once i fall from ceiling... lmao nope! However, i've gotten a few decent stalls. Just another thing that will come in to my gameplay over time.
Yo. Youre a great teacher. It comes naturally to certain people. I dont think ill learn anything new here but it might help me get that *click* i need. Youve done it before!
Tip: if you are just starting out with directional air roll, it is kinda nice to set air roll left to your left stick (pushed down). This means you can stall only using your left stick and your jump button. You don’t have to listen to me but this helped me out.
Thanks. Also first but I need this help. I need to be able to triple flip reset but I suck at stalls. You explaining things helps, I didn’t know about controller deadzone. Thank you
Its like the fetelix jump, id consider it a freestyle mechanic, but if executed properly, it can be really effective, i personally like, that your car never flips out of control
I love your videos and today is my birthday so it's exciting to see one of my favorite content creators upload today, keep up the good work and thank you for uploading on my birthday :D
It is actually insane how many people ask how to stall when it is arguably the most useless mechanic in the game from a competitive perspective. It makes you hang in the air longer with no extra momentum. Even from a freestyler's perspective, it's used very seldom, only for getting ball resets, and even that is dying at this point since as soon as you can get your second reset, the movement is incredibly easy to do. Stalls are incredibly overrated, that is my hot take. But you have made yet another helpful video, and so I must commend you Thanovic sir.
tips for figuring out what you did wrong after failing a stall: 1st off all: if you have trouble pressing air-roll and moving the stick simultaneously try doing one input after the other in quick succession instead of both perfectly at the same time. Also remember that your last input should always be your jump button. Now with failing: -Did you side-flip to your analog-stick's side? You did not press air-roll before jumping or at all -Did you side-flip to your air-roll button's side? You did not have the analog-stick "facing" the other direction before jumping or at all --try doing the first input earlier or jumping later -Did you front/back-flip? Your timing is right but your analog-stick input is too far forward/backward respectively --practice more with the stick input, maybe try stalling while constantly holding the air-roll so you don't have to worry about its' timing -Did you double jumped? Your jump input happened way too early, it should always be the last thing you press --obvious but press jump later Also when practicing it is way better to hold the buttons for too much time rather than too little, in the first case you will end up with a stall and weird orientation while in the second you will at best miss the ball completely
Fun fact: Increasing sensitivity increases stall chance. (1.0 must be perfect) (2.0 can be diagonal stalled, but still counts as straight right or left) i jear 1.7 is good for stalling. Anything under 1.4, good luck.
yo how much does ariel sens matter because i have had mine at 4 for some reason since i started playing the game and im wondering if i need to change it. im c2 with decent mechanics, at least higher than normal.
bruh how did you read my mind I was looking for a video on how to stall and you just uploaded it, also when u made the breezily flick tutorial video I was looking for one too. is this a coincidence?
Another thing about stalls is that if you have your directional air roll on your trigger button you have to make sure you full push it down or else you won’t stall correctly.
Every now and then a stall can help you out when you lose control in the air to get you and the ball on the same path again. But yeah, mostly freestyles.
Short video this week, but 2 vids a week coming very soon!!! Also feel free to swing by stream www.twitch.tv/Thanovic

I acutally just learnt speed flipping from you, it helps out so much more than I expected, and only took around 2 hours.
Tried to learn it a while ago but it was just confusing to me I'll have to go back and try again
Thanks, we needed this. Love the vids man
I know how to stall and have got a double flip reset some times. But this is such a helpful video! Now I can get it almost every time!!!

Lit only 5mins and I can already stall thanks for explaining it so well Ur class man
Keep this up because of your videos have learned air dribbles and flip reset
bruh how did you read my mind I was looking for a video on how to stall and you just uploaded it, also when u made the breezily flick tutorial video I was looking for one too. is this a coincidence?
bruh every1 just waits for ur vids ur a legend
there are freestylers/comp clip hitters who use stall bind, so if you dont want to change ur deadzone u can check that out
Thank you soo much I did it first try still working on scoring it your the best
I use stalls sometimes when I airdribble to catch the ball better.

The transition from flip equal speed to me rewatching the same half flip video like 10 times has been a humbling experience 😅
Ngl why was this so easy when he taught this tho, i learned it instantly
Every time i go on yt to learn a mechanic i see thanovic on my homepage with the exact mechanic i want to learn with the vid posted 1hr ago
i figured it out but since Thanovic uploaded i figured i'd know how to do it properly xD
Yea i totally knew this but i do like the way you explain stuff so i watched it anyway.
Thank you so much thanovic its actually way easier than i thought.
I didn't need the tutorial I'm a champ 1 who learned this in diamond, but i liked the video just to support
You can rebind "steer right/left" in the game files to more than 1 button -> 100% consistant stalls on controller with any deadzone.
I love ur toturial because u explain so good and ur english are is very good
ye that deadzone thing really saved me ty
