Mr. Mr. I just bought a 02 wrangler yesterday for 9990 it has a rebuilt engineer transmission in the last year and a half and some pretty sick aftermarket off-road parts I honestly couldn’t be happier
I had a cherry 2002 (I think) XJ Cherokee with about 80K on it with some custom bumpers and winch and a few other mods that I posted in South Carolina for around $8K and two dudes from Chicago drove an F250 with a trailer down and bought it cash money. After the deal was done, they told me that they already had a buyer and they would double their money on it. The fact that it had great paint, low miles and NO rust made it priceless up their according to them. I made about 2k on it and thought that I was doing good.
That’s a great deal for such low mileage, I spent 15k on my Jeep with a few mods done to it and with 112k miles. My jeeps not done yet either had it for 6 years and spent 15k on mods lol
She’s a beauty I just got my tj 2 months ago. trying to do stuff to it every paycheck little things nothing big but I like how I’m slowly working on her. First thing we’re the headlights
That's an UNBELIEVABLE deal! You could've sold it twice as much without the mods. Great investment. I've seen jeeps over 20 years old asking 15,000 to 20,000 with over 100,000 miles. Wonder why so many knocks jeeps.
Just ordered my younger brother some sunpie’s for his 98 TJ straight six he just got super stock and really clean. Hope they last him as long as they’d lasted you!
Hi Kyle. Nice video again. I changed a few things in my TJ. The top, wheels, tyres, collectors, exhaust, air filter, etc, etc, but a t the same time,I sold all of the them (the old ones) and in the end the difference between the purchases and sales was not bad.
Your audio is so crisp and clean! What mic and camera setup do you use for your casual ride alongs? I want to be able to get that crisp audio when I’m rev match downshifting in my Jeep
Thanks Chris! So for the ride alongs I use my gopro hero 5 session on a headstrap mount and used 2 mics one in the cabin and one in the engine bay and then mixed them for the video. For this video I use my Canon 5DMk3 with the DJI Ronin S gimbal and for mic I use a few different ones depending on what kind of video I'm making. Also I like to tweak my audio in post.
Makes me a lot more comfortable with my recent purchase of a 2000 Sahara with 42k miles for 15.8k thats never seen a winter. 12.9k is such an amazing find! Big congrats. Might of missed this but, are you running any type of lift on that to fit those 35s?
Hey. Love your Jeep. Are those the original seats? They don’t looks factory. I know allot of people replace those since they tend to be uncomfortable for commuting. Hard to believe you found a used TJ with only 9K on it. Congrats!
Sweet bro i got the same jeep color as well just picked it up on 4/20?lol its bone stock a perfect Canvas to be painting on.im so going to steal your ideas lol
Hi Kyle from North Western VT You mentioned a straight pipe exhaust. How does that work far as the VT inspection goes. Glad i found your channel. Getting ready to buy my first Wrangler
Hey Michael! I don't have those kind of inspections I live in a free state lol. So I don't know if it would be a problem. Worst case you just put a muffler on it for inspection and when u get home pull it off its easy to take on and off. Also good luck on your jeep search!
Buying the Jeep is the cheapest part of the process. I paid $5000.00 for my 1998. The first week it cost me double plus’s 1/4 more. 😂 The only part that I was very picky about when I purchased it, was to be sure the frame was in great condition. I bought it in the city of Detroit where he kept it in his garage, so it was pretty good. The Jeep only had 119,000 org miles on it. I live 150 miles north of Detroit so 4WD is a necessity, where I live. We get heavy dumps of snow, to the point where, this Jeep has a hard time. Then I switch to my 4WD 1 Ton Dodge pickup. Hopefully soon I can get my Jeep to get through about as much.

@@KyleSVT oh thanks for that. My front fenders were rusted so I got a set and the windshield frame for around 600. Luckily my neighbor (a Jeep nut with a YJ) has the equipment and skill to paint. You have a quality channel.
