Drove by and remember looking over and seeing this little city nestled in the mountains, it looked so awesome. I live in Western Maryland near Deep Creek Lake so it's similar in a lot of ways

How long does the humidity last in the summer?
Overall it's just about 10-15 days of bad humidity in the summer. Are you thinking about moving to Roanoke?
I felt the summer of 2023 had more bothersome humidity than 2022, when we were visiting and home shopping. However, it was still less bothersome than back in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. I am glad we moved here.
You forgot the 8th thing to do in Roanoke. If your a hockey fan you can catch a Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs games. 🙂

Blue - has an increasingly high crime rate as well. Drugs are rampant also.

Not many jobs in Roanoke. The city has no N & W jobs due to the train yard closing.
It was a sad day when N & W moved out but I feel that technology and medical jobs will fill the spot.
