I don't mind the voice to be honest. I only care about the quality of the tutorial and I appreciate it's clear and concise. Kudos!
Thank you for your kind words. If more people start using UModeler in the future, I believe that individuals willing to create tutorials with native narrations will emerge.
Thanks for making this available for free!
I'm currently working on hobby projects and prototypes, so my budget is very low right now. When I start working on something serious, I'll consider your paid products in the future :)
Yes! Those texturing tools are going to give hotspot texturing a massive run for it's money. That is exactly what I was looking for without needing to export and paint in different software.
I've been a UModeler user since late 2021 and have just applied for the invitation to X. Since the roadmap implied sketch support not yet being there in X, would a viable workflow be to do aspects of that sketch-based process in the standard UModeler before exporting an untextured mesh as an .OBJ and importing back into X? Will there be crossover-type support where a UMod mesh works seamlessly with X?
This is looking very promising. Also quite interested on planned pricing for future reference! According to the FAQ, X is implied to be largely free save for AI and cloud support. But such a potentially versatile tool being free??? What's the catch? ;)
Hello!
Thank you for your valuable feedback regarding UModeler X. We truly appreciate your positive remarks about our texturing tools. Our aim is to ensure users can achieve their desired results directly within UModeler X, without needing any external software.
Regarding sketch-based processes, while full integration hasn't been achieved in UModeler X yet, we are certainly considering the workflow with the original UModeler. You can expect a smooth transition between the two tools using the .OBJ export and import functionalities. Moreover, we've ensured that UModeler meshes can be converted seamlessly into UModeler X ones, making your workflow even more fluid.
The synergy between the two tools is a priority for us, and we're constantly working on maximizing this.
Lastly, concerning UModeler X's pricing policy: the core functionalities will remain free. However, advanced features, especially those related to AI and cloud capabilities, might come at a cost. Our goal is to offer advanced 3D modeling tools to as many users as possible.
Once again, thank you for your feedback!
Lightyears ahead from probuilder! Thanks. Btw, what's the difference between this and the regular umodeler?
I'm so glad to hear that. Currently, UModeler X doesn't include certain features that are available in UModeler, such as sketch-based modeling, hotspot texturing, and the cut tool, among others. It might take some time before UModeler X incorporates these features. If these features are essential to you, we recommend purchasing UModeler. Otherwise, UModeler X should suffice.
And you can see more information about the difference here - www.notion.so/umodeler/What-is-the-difference-from-the-existing-UModeler-241cb4584faa41e0b21b4c14afe25951?pvs=4
Great 👍
Will this replace Umodeler?
I believe that UModeler X will eventually replace UModeler. However, UModeler has some unique features like sketch-based modeling, hotspot texturing, and a lightweight design. So, it will take some time for the transition to happen.
i try to say i am not stupid.i am using a lot of tools but from all videos and documentation i try just to apply a color to one of the face of a cube and i cant understand how to do it with your tool. I am sure exist a method but HOW? when you say basic try to start from there. I am not criticise the tool but your videos.
Hi, coloring a face is not supported yet. We've been working hard to implement it so that assigning color to a face will be possible. As a workaround, you can paint a face using the 3D painting tool. Check out this video - ua-cam.com/video/wYPISerxOys/v-deo.html
Where are toturials ?
Hi VladlDrago, You can get more tutorials here - docs.umodeler.com/docs/getting-started
The subtitles obscure the interface.
So we've started to use UA-cam subtitles to make them visible or hidden as needed.
@@UModeler Thank you! Can you tell me how to deselect a tool? (If I have activated a tool, it remains active after using it. Escape key does not work. ) Thanks!
my version is completely different ... version 2.10 ...
Because you're using UModeler not UModeler X 🙂 Try UModeler X this time!
I always see it but never download it cuz it " feels " like one of those nvidia april fools products that do not exist xD
but its it actually real? ... as the very fact of "writing a texture at runtime" in a c#environment, inside a c++ one feels likea spaghetti that I couldn't even dream of being able to cook
Yes, they are all real. You can model, rig, and paint within Unity. You can also create textures using 3D painting and AI texturing in Unity. I believe that trying it out will be worth it
Oh so thats how you apply a material
Best asset for Unity, and they'll be fools not to integrate this into the engine at some point!
Thank you so much for the high praise! We're truly honored by your words and hope to continue providing value to Unity users. Fingers crossed for the future! 🤞
auto generated voice acting. omg it hurts my ears. neat features tho so far.
I'm sorry about the AI-generated voices. We are not native English speakers, so we relied on AI-generated voices. If more people start using UModeler in the future, I believe that individuals willing to create tutorials with native narrations will emerge.
'promo sm' 💦
Hello, what does this mean?
