Here because I thought I ruined my floor when I spot cleaned a stain and after letting it soak a little it had a really bright spot underneath from what I thought was finish rubbing off, now I'm realizing that the yellow tint to my floor wasn't intended its just 50 years of wax.
I've worked Custodial in a School here in Central Ohio for over 16 years. Over Christmas break we had to strip a hallway that hadn't been stripped in over 40 years! There were about 300 coats of wax on it. We had to go over it 8 times to fully strip it. I know that is a lot of work I've done it. It took a week with two of us doing it. Looks good now. Residential I know is different than commercial cleaning. Bottom line it was the worst I'd ever seen. We went through 16 cases of stripper. Nice work your doing there looks good.
Wooooooooooooooo I feel you on that brother, I've worked for my local school system as a custodian here in Virginia on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and I've seen plenty plenty plenty of floors with thick thick coats of Wax on them and they haven't been cleaned in about 15 years, so I know how Hard it is to strip a floor with tons and tons of wax on it 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾💯💯💯💯💯💯
Question? I have the wood look tile, and it was not a shiny tile. What can i put on it to shine it up without having all this build up from bona, rejuvenate, mop n glow etc. ??
As a custodian for over 10 years I love betco wax or stripper. Wax will not damage your tile. Your basic tile flooring is supposed to have wax or some form of floor finish. The question is can you maintain it. Trust til this day I still do floors and use wax. I currently work at Vernon college.
3.27 I love that workers attitude. Why Can't I find people like that?!
Top notch, I love the diversity displayed all at 1 job! Keep it up

Hi Steve, I've always wondered but what floor stripper machine do you use for VCT?
Thank you and love your videos!
What kind stripper you use for tile?
Stripper for tile is different then wood stripper?

Did you put the stripper down on the entire floor to loosen the wax? What tool did you use to spread the stripper
Xcellent!
My floor already drives me nuts trying to keep clean but yikes that floor
What a job! How much did you charge for this?

What stripper do you use and what’s your dilution ratio??
What stripper do you use on VCT tile ? And also what brand of wax for VCT do you use?
The stripper we just use Zepp. The wax we get from our supplier.
@@SteamBossInc ok thank you. I wax VCT on 2 of our buildings
Once you shop vac - How do you dispose of the waste water?
toilet or slop sink
What wet vacuum is that , that you use to get the water up ? I’m looking for a heavy duty wet vacuum that has a long extension
Its just a wet vac from home depo. they all work well and never last forever. we have bought expensive extractors but no need.
Nice work! Do you use the same stripper on tile as you do on vct?
Thanks! most of the time yes.
@@SteamBossInc ok thanks. I'm starting a big job tomorrow. Over 10,000 sqft.
What brand stripper did you use
Does it mean that whenever you put wax on the floor you have to remove it the following day
no, depends what it is.
What wax would you have used instead?
None! tile is not meant to have any.

Wax has got to be a pain to deal with
What is the name of the stripper that you are using?
We just use zep
Green pad not black? interesting!
This was a marble floor and they were not having it refinished afterwards, so I was trying not to scratch it as much as possible.
Talk about a job!
Those tiles with the blue shading are really awful. I don’t know why someone would choose that tile.
very large custom house from the 90s
This video makes me cringe by not using a plash guard in such a nice house
walls were all getting redone.
