If you're in this facility every 3 months try a 3m high pro pad. Do a top scrub and recoat 2 coats. It'll pull the yellow right out of the wax and you'll end up with better coverage. Strip ever year.
I agree, that is a common procedure. The reason I strip the main room every time is because the forklift causes too much damage to the existing wax. But in the hallway, restroom, and break room I usually just do a scrub and recoat as you suggest. Thanks for the comment!

Learning a lot from your videos 🙏. Curious on why you don’t use neutralizer between your stripping and rinsing? I thought that was a necessary process for this. Also curious on how much you would charge for this job? Thank you ✌️
Yeah, I didn’t explain in the video but you should use a neutralizer when you rinse the floor. Good catch! Unfortunately, I can’t give out my pricing for each job online...it’s caused some issues in the past.

If you weren't ready/confident to jump straight into cleaning kitchens entirely, could you buy the stripping/waxing equipment and offer that as a sole service? How much did it all cost you for those equipment? I have nearly 2 years cleaning experience and 1 month kitchen hand experience, working 4 days a week 35 hrs as a kitchenhand i'm super excited to start my side hustle in the cleaning space. Soz I ask so many questions on your channel but your so damn knowledgeable, i'll pay it back on patreon when i'm rolling for sure.
luke A it’s all good man, I’m here to help you out. Stripping and waxing floors is actually pretty dang complicated. I mean, the process is pretty easy, but it gets tricky when you work with different floor types and every floor has its own challenges, so you really need quite a bit of experience before you find customers for that service because you can really screw up a floor. And the floor is such a big surface that any mistakes will be very noticeable. You could offer it as a sole service though, I think there is plenty of work out there to do very well for yourself. When you work in the kitchens, pay attention to the tools you use and the chemicals. Just get really good at it and that is an excellent service to start with!

Yeah, just strip the whole floor and rewax it. The stain should go away. If you haven’t done it before, I’d recommend hiring someone, because it’s a pretty big job and can get out of hand.
It upsets me every time I see someone stripping a floor and they're walking backward over the stripper. Its so dangerous and nothing else is as slippery. I would've opened that big door and started stripping from out there. Move forward!
Michael Peterson Yeah, you are right it’s extremely slipper and dangerous. One time I did slip, I didn’t get hurt but I had to finish the job covered in stripper and wet cloths.
Put some panty house over your sneakers you won't have to worry about slipping on stripper anymore, just don't forget to remove them when you rinse or it will leave footprints on the floors

I never do. I have a friend who likes to do it, but it’s overkill honestly. You want to burnish weekly or daily to maintain the shine. Then scrub and recoat monthly. Strip and wax every 3-6 months or annually depending on budget. That’s the exact processes, but environments and budgets differ. Most customers don’t want to invest so much into floor care and don’t follow this plan.
I did this on Army Extra Duty from
Sun up to Sun down 90 days straight and will start my business here in Mexico. Stay posted....
