- Not a lot of information out there about this. I was pretty nervous going into this process, but it wound up being very easy. Just make sure to take your time and don't rush it. As for replacement grilles, I recommend going through a part dealer, and not eBay. The cheap eBay grilles have been known to not fit correctly and cause issues with overall fit and the sensors in the grille.

Hey bro I just did my swap and I properly disconnected the sensor behind the badge and I’m getting a bunch of codes saying my auto detect is not working and everything else. Also, the badge was giving me a pain in the ass trying to reinstall it and now it won’t pop back on properly. Any help would be appreciated!!
Do you know if the top chrome part of the grill is removable. I see some clips, but do you know if there is also adhesive bonding it to the rest of the grill assembly? Trying to black out that piece
i just did that myself, i couldn’t find any videos on it and where did you get the lights on the grill?
They are Feniex Q3 lights. That fit perfectly into the honeycomb slots. I put a little CA glue on the backs to ensure they don't come out
please advise me , where i can buy a embleme (logo ) vw front ,that can fit with radar sensor
I just got mine off of eBay, they have adhesive and just mount over top of the original. You can also get emblems that fully replace, but the stick-on was easier for me, I've had no issues, and I've had them on for over 2 years.

where did you get the black badge and does it mess with the sensor?
i replaced my grill, plugged the front monitor system back in and did it all when the battery was unplugged, now when i start my car it throws a bunch of codes
After reconnecting the battery, the first time you turn your car on it will show several codes. Go drive it around a couple blocks. Turn it off, let it sit for a couple minutes, and then go drive it around a couple blocks again. This is the process I go through each time I need to disconnect the battery, and have had no issues.

How did you black out the front emblem? Is there another one to swap out, or is that a cover that snaps on?
I bought a cover that goes over the front and rear emblems. It attaches via adhesion. You can buy full replacements, but you really don't need to if you just want to black it out like I did.

im struggling to take the original grill off, i unscrewed and have been trying to pull it off but it will not budge, any tips?
Just continuous pulling pressure across the whole grille. Remember not to much, as you don't want to rip out the sensor in the grille. It feels like you could break it, but it won't. Pull closer to the bottom, thats where the clips are. Make sure to take those screws out too.
Any luck? I tried pulling on my grille to the point where I think it’s gonna break. No luck, guess my only option is to take it a shop or I’m actually thinking about buy vinyl wraps that’s precut for the grille to black it out

I can’t find any black front or rear emblems like yours anywhere, including ebay, do you have any tips or recommendations? (i have the same model as you just an r-line spec)
Just took a quick look and it seems like they don't sell the same type that I bought anymore. Another option would be going with Badgeskins
