I work in the detail portion at audi/volkswagen reading when this car came in and we painted the front lip I believe on it. Sweet car even better in person
I really want that front lip and the extension things for the front bumper but what I haven't seen before that I want is a mean looking grill guard. I also want those diffusers for under the rear bumper. I'd also like a proper spoiler and some louvers for the back window. This car has such good bones I just want to go all out. I have the base model though so I don't think much will fit without major modification
This is a Jetta S (base model). I chose it because it looks smoother without the sunroof and the mirror signals. The front grill is the original but with a chrome strip painted. The rear spoiler and the front lip are available to purchase via ECSTuning. Hope this helps, and have fun!
I have the 19 Jetta S brand new June 18. Now has 72k miles on it. Drove it across the USA up mountains through blizzards and through death valley. I'm waiting for my warranty to end so I can begin modifying. I also have it in this exact same color.

My question. For Mk7 when you did the Borla exhaust did the 3 inch down pipe fit right onto the rest of the exhaust? Because I’m in the process of doing the exhaust system with the Solo Werks coil overs. Also. Where did you get the tune done?
Did u get the shift knob from forest industries directly? Because I've checked ecs tuning website and euro tuning. But it's just says it's for dsg cars only. How u get it to fit? It looks awesome I'd like one of those shift knobs

You'll need bases, swap the passenger seat occupancy over, resistors for the airbags, move the belt receptacles over, and yes, they are available from RECARO with the heated seat options - a simple 2 wire setup :-)

The spoilers are available from ECS Tuning, in carbon fibre finish, and unpainted plastic. You would need to organise priming and paint it yourself. :-)
I have a 2016 Jetta Sport. I am looking for a badgeless grille. Unfortunately, all I can figure out is to either do a pre-facelift swap or make something fit. Is the Golf grille the same or am I just overlooking a company that makes this grille?

I think it was just BFI flexing a bit, haha - almost all of the products are made in house at their North Carolina HQ so they can help with special projects. You could call them and politely ask if they'd do the same again perhaps..? :-)

Honestly, it's going to depend a lot of how low you go, and what size tires you want to run etc. The Jetta rear seems be a bit narrower than the equivalent Golf for wheel fitment, but there's still a lot of good info out there.

Nice :-) The Jetta GLI comes with the 2.0T from the factory - I think I would do a 3.6 VR6 swap if I was going to do anything, but this project was about the Jetta S so we're having fun with the original engine to help other owners with parts :-)
Love how this Jetta is looking. I've got a mk7 Golf R-line 1.4tsi with a BFI gear knob fitted to it. One thing I have been looking for is a short shifter for it but found it really difficult to come across one that would fit that gearbox for the 1.4tsi. Is this something you're planning on doing to the Jetta?
A Dieselgeeks sigma shifter kit should fit. 👍 Charles from humble mechanic does an install vid on an older golf but last I checked they make one for the Mk7 manuals.

The USA market joined the rest of the world in naming the Mk7 Sportwagen as the Golf vs the Jetta. I have a turbo manual Jetta Sportwagen, from 2009, so I definitely agree with your enthusiasm for them. Unfortunately, the USA market just doesn’t seem to care about them for the most part.

I would 100% recommend staying with an approved oil (508.00). I personally work with LIQUI MOLY, having used their oils for years, and now they do sponsor my projects. The correct oil from LM for the Jetta 1.4T is the LIQUI MOLY TopTec 6200 0w20. :-)

Hey I saw your headlights are the SEL or GLI version. Did you upgrade them from the s model ?
Correct, yes! It's a direct swap once you extend the wiring harness slightly :-)

You can get them new from VW via your local dealership, or online at ECS, FCP, etc, or a junkyard would the cheaper option if you can find them :-)

similar but there are some definite differences you can notice right away

The only thing i miss is a station wagon version. Much more practical and stylish in my opinion.
