I have no idea if the guys in Montrose were influenced by this performance, but the main riff + Rod Stewart's voice sound a lot like Montrose & Hagar on their debut album. Great video!
Mickie Most was notable for the credit: Produced by Mickie Most. A Mickie Most Production. And I really don't know if it was supposed to be funny, or if he had an ego that big.
The first two albums by the Jeff Beck Group are incredible classics.
Say what you want about Mickie Most, he DID know what he was about!! How many hit records have the rest of you produced?
What a treat to see video of The Jeff Beck Group in this era. Truth is such a great album.
This is from Beckola but yeah...you're absolutely right about Truth.
what a group, and Rod Stewarts Voice! all stars in the making!
Tony Newman is a great drummer .He came into the band from Sounds Incorporated who backed a lot of American soul acts during the 60's.

I've seen this footage previously on UA-cam, but the sound and picture is way way better here! Would like to see more of this.
The short section where Mickie gets on Jeff's case for being sorta lazy is missing from this video, it used to be there. Did I miss it?

Mickey Most was laughed at by all serious players
Mickie Most was an arrogant count. I never warmed to him.
