This channel (and video) is mainly based around displaying MOCs, thoughts on the build/design process of the MOCs themselves and just a general personal commentary on the vehicles in the games. I like how it’s more dark than the mega warthogs that are metallic green, There’s also a lot of pretty small and cool details. Nice moc man!

I 100% agree with you on the colour scheme, that green they used for the Reach rocket hog looks alot more believable than the one they use now.

Totally agree. I'm fortunate enough to have been able to amass a fair bit from MEGA being sold off on the cheap in the UK. Still a pain to get hold of though. I wonder if that's part of the reason why the Falcon sweep was so popular?

I'm afraid a manual will be a way off, I'm focusing more on new MOC for the moment (though you never know, maybe if I get a particular amount of subs/ interest). For now though I included that partial teardown to help any budding MOCers figure it out!

Cheers! What with the average age of Halo fans currently, I reckon a direct pre-order more serious display piece could do really well. I'd be down for it. Half the reason I started making these is cause the Halo vehicles are so cool and I really wanted to do them justice (that mega doesn't quite live up to).
@@HaloReforger yeah, every time I play halo I look at my collection of hogs and realize just how many curves are wrong on the mega version. I still like em though!
And most mega sets that can’t be ordered online aren’t ever seen in stores because stores don’t carry mega like they used to

The warthog is fantastic… fantastic but I have to also be impressed by the review space you did it in. The build of the hanger you have there is PERFECT, it looks so good. How did you even get that many smooth tile pieces of the same color? The diorama even though it’s a background is just wonderful.
Thanks! Yeah I feel it really grounds the moc's by putting it on some scenery. look again, maybe they're not tiles...
Are those sideways bricks for the floor of the hangar mixed in with those grate pieces? If so how did you get that many of the same color?! All those prices together it’s just… so… damn… GOOD!!!

Yoooo!!!! This Warthog looks so god damn good! You even added detail to the bottom of the build. Such a nice touch. The way you designed the suspension is also so good and I kinda want to see Mega do something like that for an official build if they dont go back to leaf springs. I can't wait to see what else you come up with. You are a super talented moc maker.
One little correction though. The canon scale charts are off by a bit so the Warthog is much closer to the size of an actual Humvee than they say. You can tell by how small the irl one used in Halo Landfall is.

holy shit this is really good personally i love the new suspension way more and i think the suspension part looks better in 343 halo too but i would buy this only thing i would change if i were MEGA and had this as a set in production is more custom parts like for the rims of the windshield in front of the seating since the best part for me with Mega vs Lego is custom parts and only prints
Thanks! I think custom parts have their place, but overdoing them limits adaptability. Canopies and the triangle (things) on the rear are perfect for that use, but overdoing it kind of defeats the point you know? But definitely with the suspension. The new 343 style suspension system they made is awesome so maybe they'll take some ideas like this going forward. who knows?
Very nice, I gotta agree the dark green is much nicer, first moc I made was by picking apart the old locust just didn’t love the design

Is it completely mega or a mix of Lego and mega?
I can’t for the life of me figure out where the arm bar pieces for the wheels were released. This has to the most ingenious warthog build I’ve seen, if possible can you release a build video of this art piece for us.
Keen eye! I actually did include a very small minority of lego parts for the main suspension arms (the steering arms are all mega). They're hardly specialized lego parts though and could easily be made by mega in the future if they don't happen to exist in some sets already. It would total 18 Lego parts which are super easy (and cheap) to get on bricklink.
@@HaloReforger Would you ever make a instruction video and parts list? I know it would be hard which would make it understandable if you don't, but it is a really cool design.

The metallic green mega has used on the last few warthogs seems just a bit too shiny for a military vehicle. Looks like a high quality paint job you would find on a sports car not a vehicle of war. Mega still has the ability to manufacture that reach olive drab as shown in the falcon sweep set which uses the color. So there is the chance of a hog coming out in that color, my personal favorite is the rust/desert color of the EVA’s last stand warthog.
That is a good colour! I'm 100% behind you, definitely a bit of a misstep IMO. I'm tempted to make a video on it in the future as I'm surprised how many people seem to agree. I thought the consensus was the new green was best which I definitely didn't agree with. As a MOCer its one of the primary reasons why I'm not tempted to pick up much of the new stuff and instead seek out old hauls. They have nailed a few other colours though, such as the Indigo blue and metallic red.
@@HaloReforger the old green from the 2009 warthogs ain’t bad either, gives it a muddy, oily look that equipment that has seen extensive combat would have.
