What is Ultimate Scale Series?

- For this video, I just wanted to go over why I call my Mocs Ultimate Scale Series and what I aim for when building them. This one was definitely a little bit different from the norm, but I'm happy to have learned a few new animation methods in the process of doing so. It is less than ideal that figures aren't properly scaled and personally, it really irks me that so few sets are appropriately scaled against each other. Anyway, thanks for watching!

I have always been super fascinated by custom figure builders who make scale accurate figures, like the difference between spartans and how big certain covenant figures need to be.

I'm very glad the algorithm threw your channel my way! The care and effort you put into your builds and videos is incredible, and have an attention to detail I don't typically see from other Mega offerings, official or otherwise.
I'm a big fan of those forced-perspective micro "trees" you put in the forest backdrop, in particular.
Ye, man's might be the most underrated Mega creator I've seen.
His channel popped into mine like a month or 2 ago, haven't regretted it. I think he had less than 100 subs. Hope he gets a lot more subs like you guys

Thanks guys! It's appreciated. They're actually meant to be "tall grass" bases but totally look like trees also. I find that it helps blend the background into the foreground, to try to make it all look together.
Would looooove to see you finish your line up of unsc vehicles, be it reach or halo 3 (they're my favorites anyway), and potentially see some of halo 1 and 2s more iconic vehicles get some love as well where possible
but my main thing i want to see when all is said and done, is some of halo *wars* unique vehicles get some love as well, such as variant vehicles like the grizzly or the flame hog, or even more unique ones such as the cobra, wolverine, and hawk
the rhino would be a cool one to see as well, or even the gremlin, perhaps even a cyclops or a really big build like a fire base of some sort, or even just a turret from a firebase
the same applies for covenant from any of the games, and halo wars 1 or 2, like an USS locust that can actually stand on its own and not fall over like mega's old locusts do
and lastly but even MORE so importantly and hopefully, i would LOVE YOU TO DEATH if you could somehow put together instructions so that us viewers could take a crack at building some of these beautiful mocs that i for one, would kill to own and display on a shelf, maybe instead of detailed directions printed out or as a pdf file (which would be the most optimal way to give instructions out, through a pdf file) you could do a build livestream or just live build and make that into a video for people to follow along to
however it would have to be done, I'm personally dying to be able to build myself some of these absolutely AMAZING mocs you've made here!
I seriously love these bases you have. The backgrounds are stellar, and id be interested in seeing how well stop motion animation works on them.

Thanks! Yeah, you got it spot on, used a snot technique to build out base plates. It does use a lot of bricks and does mean they're quite hefty, but I don't exactly have anything else to use that colour for so... 🤷

Back when mega first started with the Halo wars lineup, i always wanted to make mocs but never had the pieces to do so, youve captured my visions absolutely perfectly and have made my inner kid so happy 😂. Very well done!

now that we have a scale we just have to wait for someone with way too much free time and megabloks to start building things like scarabs and pelicans, then (hopefully) upload instructions.

I like how mega reused the cod figure molds to make the new marines instead of just making original molds that are more accurate to both the games and the older, better marines. And they’re also way taller than Spartans and Elite figures for some reason????

There was a mistake in how you did scale. You measured the Grunts from the top of their methane tanks rather than the top of their heads which is how they actually measured. Similarly, I don't think the height of the crest on Jackals should count as part of their height since it varies between multiple games.
The Grunts, Elites, and Spartans all scale with each other while Marines and Jackals scale with each other. Hunters and Brutes are outliers however and don't really scale with anything.
Good spot. Jackals were measured correctly but animated slightly off. For the grunts, I couldn't find any sources stating where to measure from. From what I found in the halo experience images, it looks like their methane tanks, but even if they are, I probably tilted mine a little high, ah well!
@@HaloReforger I always assumed they would be measured from the top of their heads since some scale charts show the methane tanks being obscured behind their head.
If you want a great reference for how to scale Covenant, the Halo Outpost Discovery did a lifesize scale chart that people could stand in front of. It's sick af.
