Shimano released at iCast a 7' Light BFS rod in the Zodias series. Hopefully that will inspire ARK and CDMs to make longer L and ML rods for bass fishing.
I love fishing the Mini Max, but usually on my Medium power setup. I'll stick to the Flashback mini and the Jackall Derabreak for BFS. As for trailers for the Mini Max, I like the Deps Deathadder in 4"
@@tongtong6290 well.. I don't have those here... But will have some northern snakeheads available. Maybe I will do a fall trip and see if it wants some Chatterbait :)
my local walmart sells zman micro chatterbaits. like the flashback mini but skirted and no trailer. they are only $3. I buy them all every time I'm there. i like to take the skirt off and use a 2" keitech easy shiner. catches everything that swims.
That one is okay. It needs some refinement. Definitely like it without the skirt since it helps with sink rate. The blade makes it rise too fast and u need good speed to make it roll with the skirt on.
Hey jim how are you have you done a review on this reel if not can you do one( M1 Baitcaster Reels, 4.76oz Ultra-Light Carbon Fiber Fishing Reels,7.6:1 Gear Ratio )
Hey dude. Nope... Haven't touched many cdm reels since bfs went mainstream here in the US with several brands with nice stuff to test. Yen is also down, so I mess with those too. I wish I got the time and budget to get everything lol. But perhaps if I get enough gift cards from the Holliday season from family, friends and fans!
Yeah sorry bud. But I am sure there are plenty of cdm reviewers these days who's trying to find thst budget bfs reel. I got spoiled and no longer settling lol
if you are using a rod with micro guides, there's really no avoidance other than to use straight fluoro as those rods are made for classic bfs fishing with fluoro lines. FG knot is the thinnest you can learn if you wanna use PE to leader. second would be Albright knot (not alberto)
This might be your best MH combo right there. I really like ARK's custom reel seats.
They are fantastic
A Jackhammer version of the Chatterbait micro would be sweet. Maybe like $10 for a hook keeper better suited for micro trailers and a hand tied skirt.
gotta get the two companies to work one in! power finesse let's go!
These were some cuties you caught 😉
Not bad for scummy shallow ponds!

Let me call Ark for ya! Wink
Awesome video! That slx 70 mgl is an amazing reel. I've got that reel on the slx 6'10" medium, awesome combo.
Right on! Loving it more and more

Very nice! I can see myself using a M power rod too!
@@rawrfishing 7ft Medium power combo, with P.E 2 braid and 20lb leader. That's the perfect bank/pond hopping combo IMO.
Not wrong, with PE no stretch, even ML rods can technically Hookset thick hooks. Now if they made a thinner hook chatter.... ML will be Hella fun!
I want to see you use the slx 70 caught the giant snakehead fish 🌿🐠❤

flashback mini is still the best bfs chatter bait, but i feel like zman dropped the ball with a crap trailer and no bait keeper still
Spoke with em at icast! I'm sure a New one to come! Hopefully soon!

Put it on a scale is not 1/4 oz a good scale is my best friend of BFS fishing bass and trout fishing.
Definitely not quarter. Scales does help you categorize your lures for your setups! 👍
Z-man has a mini no one talks about
You mean the micro? I can talk about it if u want.. I can use it too :)
Please do Jimmy@@rawrfishing

It is a great casting reel but the slop in the handle makes it feel cheap.
@@rawrfishing i was just wondering

Do you run straight braid on your bfs setups or use braid to leader?
Leader always. Thin braid is fragile
@@rawrfishing thanks man!!
@@rawrfishing I have a hard time with the small leader knot catching in the guides any advice?
