@@DrDitchpickle thx! I almost lost this Jig to the pickerel lol. It cut me off when it was thrashing in the net! So i can still use it for the next trip woot woot!
Yeah.. Haven't found a good one yet... Honestly was slacking since I have been not happy with the turning on this kayak. If I resolve it with another rudder... Then I may deck out the kayak!
Dope video jimbo those z minnowz are legit, super versatile in both fresh and salt water. Thank you for the content as always excited to see your fall videos I know you’re gonna have some bangers. I know this is off topic but what is your opinion on the kistler hunt series BFS rods. I may have already asked you this but I can’t remember. Any feedback would be greatly helpful.
@@Daiwa_Is_King thx man! I did get to meet up with Aaron hunt last year and I did briefly played with one rod. It was super flexible. Definitely fun for open hooks and trebles. I would say it's flexes more than any rods I own that isn't the glass Sheng he Xiao ju. But it's been a while... Don't remember it 100 percent. Was a turn off due it the price. I would jump on a JDM rod while yen is down. I need a company for the Ly Series rod, who would want some?
well i can't really recommend anything I haven't really tried. My focus have always been reels, but I feel like reels are pretty good going forward. So I will be budgeting for more Rods and I have been staring at a few. Such as the New Poison Adrena with shimano/Jackall. But those all went the moment they arrived to the US :(. So I may get an Old Zodias or new Experide when it comes out (soon like this month maybe?). It will be a great experience to try some of those! But those rods are more... bass orientated, so they are a bit stiffer rod tip likely (fast action). If i want an all rounder, it should be a moderate fast so I can handle some treble hooks too, but honestly, im not too afraid of using fast tips for bait finesse. I keep drag low and use longer leader to add some stretch and im good to go.
sounds like u want an all rounder rod? why not the Makimono Special from Jackson? They don't make those no more and it's amazing as portrayed here! even a hook that thick, i am hooking up with a thick hook! works great on trebles too!
Oh bfs discussion is never off topic for me lol. But Nope. I don't fish streams enough to get it. If anything... I can just slap a Roro spool onto my alphas or gekka since the brakes on silver creek is static and not dynamic... Roro spools are fixed inductor cups so the braking will be static too. The mindset is why do I need a 2nd reel when I can save and just get another spool? Now if I'm closer to streams and I want a dedicated reel for that.. I just may!
@@rawrfishing same minded as me, i just put a shallow spool on my steez a2 instead of getting a bfs reel. But I absolutely cannot stand when people comparing the CQ BFS with SC. I saw a video from a japanese youtuber who did a stream fishing and using both of em. But SC got a lots of cons like better short distance cast, better brakes making it less line trouble when throwing light lures and TWS absolutely help a lot by reducing resistance when throwing. And yes, he does use Roro and Avail spool on his SC. What makes me irritated is some people comparing and announced it "CQ BFS is the best bfs reel" without trying not just SC, many other brand also have a good bfs reel i think.
Honestly, the Conquest BFS 2023 is the worst JDM bfs reel I own lol.. It's inconsistent, it got a nasty thumb bar that doesn't engage after you cast and reel sometimes. Takes 2 cranks for it to pop back up and i am not the only one reported that. Now not saying it sucks like some cdm reels, but it's the wrong path I feel for Shimano to go. Should have stuck to larger bait finesse spools for bass fishing. Leave the UL/trout to Daiwa and aftermarket folks
I haven't thrown one of those for a while, but the concept of how I fish this is the same. Most ppl slap one on a skirted swim jig.. I say no! Let the lure roll!
While it was fun playing with the Tsurinoya Dexterity rod, it's not currently the direction I'm heading towards. I'm gonna be doing L to ML, something missing in my library. It's also where mainstrram Bait finesse will be growing in.
@@rawrfishing i've been using this rod Shimano 19 Brenius B 73L+ for that application and pair up with my Shimano 23 Calcutta Conquest BFS HG, i've been enjoying a lot

Great video! Those zman baits are amazing. Love the durability. They outlast most others 3 to one

The new yak looks awesome. Lots of room. Battery doesn't look like it's going to fall off the boat.
@@pacman_17 lol it definitely got room in the front to hold the battery! But the mid lacks room for quick drop if used lures. Gotta be organized well!
