The tatula XT is a gem for sure especially for the price point. Everyone I know that bought that rod has been really pleased with it. You know I’m a sucker for anything Daiwa makes so I always appreciate the Daiwa content. Thank you jimbo for the video can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. Tight lines bro road to a 100,000 !!!
That's good to know. I was late on the Xt rod, but glad I will be able to nail a few fish before winter hits! The winter will be a good time for me to figure out plans to get to that 100k! Hope to get it done in 2025!
@ Still trying to figure this out. I have been using it for smaller crank baits like KVD1.0, small jigs, and small Whopper Ploppers but still trying to figure it out. It is interesting. The rod I bought. I got it from tackle warehouse and it was actually a one piece rod. It did come as a two-piece rod where I had to insert the rod into the handle but that was a one time fit up. I keep an eye on your channel and watch all your videos to try to learn techniques for the light rigs that I would want to use. Love your videos and your enthusiasm.
Great day out, Jimmy! I've been curious about this rod. I was hoping it was a true light/fast rod though. It would probably be good for the Silver Wolf I bought because of you, but I already have it on a ML Daiwa Blazon (great rod!!). You should try to get a hold of one of them to try. I think you'd like them. I also have it in their BFS versions as well in bothe solid tip, and tubular tip. They are a little more expensive than this one (about $136 give or take depending on the yen), but they are worth it.
Thx. I think this is a bass light rod, which is closer to a light plus. It's definitely stiffer than the Px rod that I also gotten... That rod is 300 dollars tho. Haven't tried the blazon yet. But I may! The Tsurinoya Dragon Versatile UL/ML is totally different lol. That UL tip bends well... Then the lower section is a ML. It's a very unique rod for say trebles... You can pin fish and still haul em in!
@@rawrfishing Thanks Jimmy. Does the quality of the Tsurinoya stack up to the Tatula? I can only afford one of them right now, so I'm trying to narrow it down. It seems like you may be able to throw baits a little lighter on the Tsurinoya. Not looking to throw under 1 gram, but I'd like to be able to throw as lidgt as 2 or 3 grams. Basically a more versatile rod so I can just take one with me when the situation calls for it.
The versatile rod is good! Quality is amazing. With the stiffer back bone, u can set some nice hooks with it. I took it up north and threw some bigger lures on it and nailed a few. Didn't get the Smallie I wanted tho. It certainly was casting a 2 gram lure. I was live streaming today with the rod. Will have a regular video soon to portray the rod throwing the 2 gram lure ;)
@@Lqviolin2 no idea what that is... With the growth of bait finesse in the US, I am spending my time and money here as tax are properly excised. So I know my water ways are taken care of. If you really need to buy things at a budget, go buy things from Japan instead while yen is down! 👍
I think there is an American version already. However, it seems to be a 2-piece that joins at the handle instead of in the center of the blank. For travel I would prefer the model you show here personally.
@@rawrfishing in your opinion, how does this stack up against the tsu versatile? Comparable in price but possibly quite different because of the UL tip on the tsu?
Well it's quite different since the UL tip of the versatile is a lot softer. Hook sets lot different... But u can definitely Hookset with the swim jig. I took it up north and nailed a few fish. Imma have to edit that soon!
Would love to see a review of the px bf 70 rod. I have the reel. Would like to know it is worth the money compared to the other 250 350 dollar rods. Also are more line guides better and which px 70 rod is a better all rounder. Thx
So the PX rod like up, both are 6'8". One is UL with a regular taper, thus more guides. For a rod to bend that much, having more guides is better. The L have less because it got some nice strong back bone. Both are used differently. The UL, is a composite, so it's great for moving baits. So open Jig and trebles. The L is for weedless applications. Like texas rig, jika rig, wacky rig with a weed guard, etc. Or you can use heftier hooks instead of tradition small thin gauge hooks for bait finesse.
