    Yessir, I’m currently building a boosted y8 with pm6 pistons. Should be real snappy at 10.5:1 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

      @@jesselittle2901 I actually ended up actually going with the New Nippon High compression vitaras. They yield just about stock compression, so I’ll be milling the head 0.020 Inches to get that 10.5:1 ratio im looking for.

    just choose the compression u want with the head and block combo that you have ! We have PM3 , PG6 , vitara , P29 , PM6....all from nippon racing...I just can’t stay away from the b7/2 block Z6 head p29 and long rod combo..best setup I ever had in my single cam Journey...high compression boost FTW IN TQ & SPOOL TIME

      I was initially gonna go that route. The PM6 is a much safer route that I’d feel comfortable telling ppl to use without first hand use

      I have a set of the PDNs from my CNG Sedan. But I am afraid to use them with a Y8 head. So I will use the PG6.

    Have D15B7 block builds ever been a topic?

    • @VHBEngines
      @VHBEngines  4 роки тому +2

      It’s about the same as the 1.6 which is why I’ve never discussed it as it’s own thing

      @@VHBEngines ok cool. Do ever come across any? I checked out your website last night by the way 👌. I hope you can keep enough business for it to stay up.

      Terell wilks I’ve only sold items through it twice but that was about 1400$ worth of business. At $9 a month it’ll stay open. 😁 it’s main function is to give ppl a place to window shop. I’d still prefer to be directly contacted though social media. As for the d15, I would never intentionally buy one. No reason not to get it’s bigger brother

    Could those pistons be used with the SpeedFactory no notch long rods?

    • @VHBEngines

      I’m not sure if this would cause the piston to peak outta the block or not. I’ll take another look at the a6 and see where they sit

      I don’t know enough about the injectors to tell you what their limits are but If I’m planning on 400+whp I want 750cc at a minimum

    So would a d16a6 block with pm6 pistons and a y8 head be ok for boost? I have both sitting in my garage and am not sure. Just looking for some help cuz I’m new to single cams. Thanks!

  • @Menstherapy007
    @Menstherapy007 4 роки тому +1

    Just curious do you think these pistons would be able to withstand roughly 400hp ? Or would you recommend just going with vitara pistons for 400 and up ? Getting ready to purchase some pistons but honestly thinking about these pm6 to see what they can make

    P29 pistons come out of the DOCH ZC the PM6 pistons come out of the non v-tec single cam ZC and the P28 pistons come out of the single cam ZC v-tec which is a P28 casting with the exception of the long rods now the D16A6 88-89 have PM6 pistons with cast iron main caps underneath the aluminum girdle which is the single cam block that is known to hold the most power the crank is also better than the P28 cause it not only has the dual oiling ports on the rod journals they are also chamfered which allows the oil to flow more freely I have 2 of these blocks and the P28 casting ZC
