Nice to see people still out there messing with my favorite engines, the D series. They don't live very long on boost without aftermarket cranks and sleeves. Even on 8psi I broke a crank. For some reason the D factory cranks just can't take the abuse. The sleeves are pretty safe if you're running rich but then you've got other problems. I really miss the ZC dual cam. If I were rich I'd have a whole fleet of ZC turbo CR-X's.
Dude there's something else going on with your builds. I've been running well over 8 psi for years now on the stock crank and sleeves without a problem. I run it hard but I don't abuse it, evidently that makes all the difference.
Bro...my advice. Wear a helmet when riding a one wheel. I use to sell them at a bike shop. They're fun, but dangerous. Love your channel btw. Reminds me autoshop in HS. Very informative
I have the same pistons in my EF, when I test drove it to brake in the turbo was a full boost at 3200 rpm and it wakes up fast when cruising, but I still need to get it tuned, so I will be ordering your 1000cc injectors to go e85
I use that combination a lot, you have to notch the piston for valve clearance if your going to use a vtec head. Piston to wall I use .003-.004 for 350-400HP for street/drag setup. The most import thing is keeping your timming on check, these blocks don’t like it!!
@@Boostonabudget well when you have built this combination you have to, the piston is flat with the block deck, maybe is the first time you hear it but I’ve been running this combination for N/A and turbo for years and allways have needed valve clearance on them, if not you can try it out, the engine won’t turn without the piston hitting the valve.
I just got a 96 civic 4 door with a d16y7 I never had a single cam I was thinking of building this to make around 400hp I think that should be good for a every day fun do u have any video on that kind of build
Heya man was wondering if your doing basemaps still. Im having a problem finding a burner as i sold my burn2 like a fool. I have a real sst chip i can send if needed.
I am planning on building a y8 in the future but I live in Washington and we have no e85. Any recommendations for different fuel and how much power would be possible on premium from a gas station?
Hell yeah! Finally some D16 content we’ve all been waiting for!!!! Thanks hunter!!!!!
Lookin forward to this I love single slammers
The onewheel gets better. Once weather warms up, you'll love it.
Engine build AND paramotoring? You're too good to us. Enjoy the new year, bud.
Super excited to see how this goes
Happy holidays and keep up the good work show the work next time but watching you fly was pretty cool be safe out there brother
Living the dream!!!!!

welcome to the family! i love my one wheel! ran out of gas ones and that thing saved me alot of hassle , lol well worth it
Here for the d series content 🎉
Wonderful video!
Another great video
Very good content and info. Most the d16 info is like 10 to 15 years old so thanks for this. All the best with the future projects and business.
Hope you had a merry Christmas and have a happy new year with that single jingle buddy
Bearing clearances, “a hunter tuned guide” is what I’m excited for

NICE !! Been waiting for this one .
Good video. Been waiting for this one.
Well i think your over your fear of heights! Good job homie😊
Go single cams!

Since when do you need to notch pistons i have never heard of this. As long as you dont use long rods.

Thats wild learn something new everyday
Yo Hunter look into getting single cut carbide burrs for that dotco, they chew throgh softer material like aluminum

89th from the UK.
If they are a hyper eutectic they usually require much less piston to wall then a 2618 forged. What’s the clearance.
Pg6 is d16a1 brown top… similar to a dohc zc
And these pistons will get you about 11.6:1 comp.
Let's goooooooo
i run those Pg6’s with eagle rods
Heya man was wondering if your doing basemaps still. Im having a problem finding a burner as i sold my burn2 like a fool. I have a real sst chip i can send if needed.
Does a pm6 piston have less or more compression Asking for a friend
Did you finish the d16 pg6?

Make a hunter tuned girdle thats already notched!
I would but the girdle needs to be matched to the block
Those are D16A1 pistons out of the Integra
p29 pistons.......would be nice
Helloooo helloooo brother
🤑YEAHYEAHYEAHYEAHYEAH
Dip ur burr bit in antifreeze and it will keep it from clogging up.
Dude just have the sleeves bored out to whatever p to w clearance you want.
Coworker lost his right eye from one tiny little metal shaving....Please wear eye protection and even ear protection.
Nice Amish beard!
Really curios
Bro you look so young when you get a cut..
Open up just a little those cylinder walls ,it's too tight
