  • The first grey SAAB 9-5 in this video is an 2.0t 150hp Linear 2005.
Sold it and made some profit.
Second SAAB (the red-ish one) in this video is an 2.3t 185hp Vector 2005.
In this very first episode I clean it up, fix some things and make it more reliable to make this car into my daily.
I just let the video speak for itself.

Excellent ! I’m binge watching 9-5 videos on UA-cam at the moment in anticipation of collecting Sovvagn from my cousin’s garage in South East England in August. She’s a 2004 9-5 Aero estate and was delivered today. I can’t wait.I’d have loved a red one like yours, Sovvagn is blue, but it’s only a small compromise, otherwise she’s exactly what I wanted. At £1150 she’s an absolute steal. You’d be hard pushed here in France to find a base model Renault Clio at that price. So sad Saab disappeared, if only the Swedish government had been willing to give them support when they needed it, they might still be with us.
Great video series by the way. Thanks!
You’re probably the only person who’ll understand why I called her « Sovvagn » 🤣

Beautiful car. I have been looking at a 2006 9-2.0T SportCombi in the same color, with 134,000 miles on it. Wondering whether to buy it. Despite their being no longer made, Saabs
    remain among the most interesting
    cars ever made.

Have had a few Saab's in my motoring history. Several 9_3 hatchbacks. Currently have an aero convertible and a 900 2.3 auto and a 9_5tid vector wagon as my daily driver. Love them

I own a Saab 93 aero convert I love my car but living in America makes it extremely hard when looking for parts that aren’t more than the cars even worth, but Saab’s are still great built cars I’m at 250,000 miles and still going strong

Don't the water affect the electrics??

    • @JWMotorsport
      @JWMotorsport  3 роки тому +2

Just don't aim the washer on to like the alternator and connections it will be fine. The enginebay and the parts inside of it is design to handle water pretty well.
For example, when you are driving behind a truck in rainy weather, it will come alot of rain/water into the enginebay between the gaps in the hood etc.
So just don't aim the washer close to electrics and you will be fine.

    hello.my Name is Bogdan.
when i was younger (12 years ago) i Had the opotunity to drive a saab 95 2.3 turbo( not sure if it was Aero) and car really get stucked în my Head ever since.
to be honest i haven't Had the finiancial situation to Buy one, but now as time passed i can afford to Get one. i have some quetions and I hope you Can help me. i Found like 3 cars, but one its 2.3turbo 180 Horses, one 2.3 turbo 220 Horses and one with 2.3 turbo 230 Horses.
what are the differences Between this motors?
i try to Find then only with manual gearbox Because i THINK they are more reliable, Automatic gearboxes here în Europe, if you have a problem no One can help you.
wich of These do You advise me To Buy?

      Hi Bogdan,
      Love your story!
From your choises buy the 220hp 9-5, its the same as the 250hp Aero.
The 2.3 turbo 230hp sounds like the "old" 9-5 Aero since the new have 250hp and later 260hp.
The 2.3 turbo 185hp is also good, but its a more fun engine if you choose the 220hp since it has the turbo from the 250hp Aero.
Regarding the manual or automatic gearbox its as you say, the manual is more reliable if no one can help you. The 9-5 before 2002 automatic (4-speed) is not so reliable, but after 2002 automatic (5-speed) is reliable and good.
      Good luck with your Saab-saga!
