My father and mother worked in the Saab factory from 1972 - 2012 until the bankruptcy. The factory is running it hasn't been producing as in the Saab days, but new cars might be coming soon I think 2020 from the new owner. The 2005 Saab's got the GM threatment they downsised the oil pump that backfired quite hard. I think personally the best years are 2001-02 Saab 9-5 wagon. I personally do prever in vector trim if there still are cars left. At that time I drove one of those cars from factory fresh I received the car when it had 20 km on the dial and left it back when it had 4000 km that I drove during a month. If I do remember it correctly the Saab 9-3 Viggen was manufactured in Finland as of the convertibles at the time. I don't exactly remember what year when they changed the convertibles for being manufactured in Sweden. The midrange punch was the idéa behind safe driving if you think about overtaking it's better for that kind of driving. I read that they have a joint venture with Koenigsegg so how these cars will be I don't know.
That sounds great. SAAB should live on! I just got a 2008 9-3 2.0 and was hesitate about the 4 cylinder coming from honda accord 6 cylinder 2001 and a SL500 8 cylinder and could not be happier driving this vehicle! All I can say is pure enjoyment - the car rocks; talk about nice bang for your buck and loads of fun! SAAB NEEDS TO LIVE - thanks for the info.
I had one of the last 900S t to come off the line that turned out to be a 9-3, so it said 900s in the door and 9-3 on the back, and they couldn't get it to run, because it also wound up on the Viggen Line, I got it for 70% cheaper then it was worth, I put a 97 MAP sensor on it, and it drove 279k on it before I sold it. and that car blew everything away from 70 MPH -140MPH...and looked really odd...but after some tuning my ARC is much faster than the 99 Viggen?
I'm a Saab girl, my current being a 2001 9-3 Viggen convertible. I've also owned two 2000 Honda Civic Sis, the ones with 160 horsepower with a 1.6 normally-aspirated engine that was available to the public at the time, but they were both stolen, the second before my license plate even came in the mail. That car was amazingly fun to drive, and the shifting was just… perfect. But, I was still a Saab girl at heart. I had driven a 1999 coupe (that was before they "detuned" it in the first three gears to cut down on the truly uncontrollable torque steer), but when I was test driving it, the salesman who rode with me told me to "watch [my] speed," and I looked down and I was going very close to 100 mph! I knew I’d get into trouble, and kept my base 1999 9-3. But, about two years ago, my fiancé - knowing that was my dream car above all others - sniped one off eBay for a bit over $3000. We flew to Tampa to pick it up, and drove it home. We haven't had any major issues, but I do envy you, because it seems that you have plenty of sources for used parts and facilities to repair a Saab. I live in New Orleans, so if I run into trouble needing to be towed, I need to go to Houston or Memphis. There is a bit of body flex going over railroad tracks, or even just the crappy roads that are rampant in the "Big Sleazy." But, my Viggen has 235 horsepower from a 2.3L engine, and a higher-output turbo and a better intercooler. It has about 137,000 miles, uses no oil - full synthetic all the time - but, MAN! Can that car GO!!! I can be in the most horrible mood, and get into my car, get onto the freeway, and be comfortably at 75 mph before I need to merge! The sound of the turbo spooling up brings a huge smile to my face every single time. But, my disadvantage is that Saabs of any year are SO RARE down here that nearly every time we see another one on the road, we both honk at each other. I lived in Minnesota from 1994 until 2007, and they were EVERYWHERE! As it is, I still have to call a friend up there who owns a Citroen, and he'll put me on a three-way call to his Saab guy, so he can tell me what to do if something weird happens. But, I'm taking it to Houston sometime soon, and getting a 6-point subframe brace and new motor and tranny mounts put on, so, yeah, in my part of the world, it's getting hard to find (used) parts for them, and I want to put the E-code headlights on, but I have to find a used set, because Sweden won't send them if the car will be driven in North America. But, I love my car. I can honestly say I've never cried from happiness until my fiancé showed me the pic of what he got me on eBay. I seriously lost it, I didn't believe people could cry from happiness, but I know now! My brother lives in Baltimore; if I'm ever in the area with my car, I'll send both of y'all messages and you can drive one of the 738 2001 Viggen convertibles that were made, it may just convert you :-)
Kari K. Great story, My 19 yr old daughter bought herself a used 5-door Viggen while she still had her N driver's license a month before turning 18. I was a little concerned as I hadn't seen the car and was working out of province at the time. Turned out to be okay I. spite of its rebuild status. I've done some general Mtc to it, but believe she made a good investment. Love the power and it even gets good mileage, matching or exceeding my 04 9-3 Linear. She had wanted to sell the car a year ago for financial reasons, but now loves it so much, is unlikely to part with it. Truly a great car that brings a smile to your face when driving it.
Another Viggen owner from the UK here. Convertible, new engine fitted. Stage three tune. Currently in the south of France she drove down here with no issues. Goes like a scalded cat.....
Kari K. Waaay late here, but if you catch this, it's nice to see another Saab girl. Although I love my lil' base '99 9-3 CV, and I'm looking forward to a stage-1 Maptun before "Blue" hits 100k, I'm envious of your Viggen.
How to keep your SAAB 9-3 from sludging: 1. Remove turbo heat shield and toss it in the trash. It is doing nothing but concentrating heat on the motor. Ditto with the plastic dealie that sits on top. 2. Wrap the catalytic converters. Both of them, all the way up the turbo flange. 3. Use only premium synthetic motor oil.
Hi. So remove the plastic oil filler surround? An what do you mean wrap? Wrap with what? My car has been flushed each service since new. It's now 20 years old. Thanks
@@SY-ml5nl Yes the triangly deal around the oil filler. Wrap with titanium heat shield wrap. It's a little tricky to do the second cat with the exhaust and engine in the car, but that's the one that really needs it.
Saab is a underated beautiful car. I have the same one. But hatchback. Not convertible and many people are shocked by how fast it can move. Put up the boost just a little bit and that thing moves very quick without mods
I have a 2007 9-3 Convertible, 6 speed manual. 3" downpipe with a sports CAT, 2 1/2" exhaust system all SS. Uprated Maptun clutch, oil free foam air filter, 18" alloys. It's mapped to, 287BHP, 293 FTLB torque. It's 100% perfectly driveable. Only has 83,000 on the clock, full service history, interior is mint, bodywork almost perfect. I'm keeping this amazing car until it's a museum piece.
I have owned an OG 9-3, NG 9-3 and now 9-5 Aero, and I recommend the latter due to best built quality, more room and better options (although the NG 9-3 has less rust issues). The 9-5 Wagon is super spacious but even if it weighs ALOT for a car like this, it hauls very quickly!
I have a SAAB 9-3 5-Door Maptun Stage 2 (230 hp) and a Ferrari California (490 hp). I can say with all honesty that the steering feel of the SAAB and the Ferrari are pretty close. I realize one is FWD and the other is RWD, but the steering feel is about the same. The Ferrari is actually a little lighter and the SAAB steering is a little bit more communicative. Blows my mind when my carbon fiber LED steering wheel alone in the Ferrari costs many times more than the SAAB itself. My SAAB engine is very smooth. It doesn’t vibrate like your Vert. A 5 door is just stiffer. I have found that the Liqui Moly Ceratec helps a lot with the engine smoothness too.
You'll want to put a LSD in a powerful 9-3. Makes all the difference in the world and it will keep you out of the ditch if you get carried away. Yes, the Mitsu turbo is much better than the Garrett.
Wonderful. I have both of your cars, a 2001 Volvo CC, and a 2001 SAAB cabriolet. The Volvo is silver and the SAAB is an exact replica of the blue SAAB, except it is a 5 speed, and runs like a scalded cat. It has a 113,000 miles and has a pant-load problems, top doesn't work, control system for heat/cooling under dash does not work, cracked power coils, worn out plugs, needs tires, and a the seats need some attention (I may replace them). Good news, brand new top. But it is a nice original car that I will hopefully sort out. It was free. I take ebay pictures for a large local salvage yard, and when a lady brought it in when I was there taking pictures. I asked the boss about it and said I could have it. I had started on it but the Volvo popped for $2500 so I jumped on it. It is in nice nice original condition so I'm getting it sorted first. A SAAB (Volvo too, but to a lesser extent) in South Carolina is like a fart in church. It is perfect for my photography business and for towing my small boat. My association with Volvos goes back many years. I was director of automotive advertising for TNYT and knew all the car manufacturers. About 30 years ago I bought a Volvo wagon directly from Volvo in Rockleigh, NJ. Executives at Volvo don't drive red cars so after the ad campaign it had to go. It was a Ferrari red one (Ferrari painted it for them) they used in all their ads, "If Ferrari Built a Wagon This Would Be It." I have pictures of it. Wonderful car, and the techs at Volvo had it really tricked out. It was a 4-speed with OD. Everyone wanted to buy it from me. Sadly it was badly rear-ended and went to Volvo in the sky. Saved the family. I checking in on Kyle and plans to used his exploits as a guide. As a Yankee from Massachusetts and Connecticut I've been around both makes for a long time. Thank you, you are a gift from the Volvo gods and Kyle is the gift from the SAAB gods. Rush L. Workman Prosperity, SC
Kudos to Kyle for rebuilding in his driveway. I attempted swap my manual trans in my parking lot and it's a big, big job, which I didn't finish. Still have my Saab and love driving it, they're heavy duty great running cars.
I had a 9000. I loved that car..when it ran. I bought it used - it was 3 years old. I paid $11000 for it. Over the next 3 years I put another $11,000 in it. Then one more expensive thing broke and then traded it. My wife said I could get any car I wanted ...as long as it was a Volvo. And that is my Saab Story
Saab 9000 . That was my first Saab. Loved that car. I felt like a millionaire in it. White and MINT condition . Bought in 2003 . For $1200 bucks. Then sold it y months later for $2800 . With just oil changes. Lmao. Awsome.
My wife & I own a 2005 Saab 9.3 convertible. Excellent car & a joy to drive. Just our fun car now (not a daily driver), we do not foresee ever getting rid of it.
I love my swedish cars. My first car was a c900 Saab and that sparked my love for saab but I have room in my heart for both Saab and Volvo. Currently own a 2000 9-3 viggen and a 09 c30 t5. If you thought that auto 2.0 pulled you should go for a spin in a viggen.. you'll fall in love with saab..
@@chijen2010 you mean everything works but the engine. I'd rather everything else fail first. You need a machine shop to fix an overheated engine but only basic tools to fix everything else. Also, if I had to order a transmission or an engine from the other side of the continent I would be immediately looking for other projects.
Saab's are awesome! That's so awesome that you rebuild your Saab... I own a 1995 900 S with a 2.3 engine. I bought it for $450.00. And my car drives like a dream.
The only thing that nearly sent my 2000 9-3SE vert to junk yard is the driver seat belt assembly. No one makes them anymore and you can only find them in junk yards/craigslist/Kijiji (I am in Canada). Any seller from US is a no go because it can't be shipped with explosive inside. So be nice to your seat belt if you have one:)
I've owned a '99 Saab 9-5. Always loved them. They were different and futuristic. UDO-Unidentified Driving Object!😁 Especially, that 900 Turbo hatchback in black with louvers! Their exhaust always had a race car tone too. They also were the best bang for the buck after that initial depreciation hit. Truthfully, Volvo didn't get interesting until the 740 Turbo and later their R vehicles.
I agree with you 1000% here. The dash and layout on the 9-5 is amazing. In fact when I drove mine I road tripped it all around about 30 states. And in my own head I always felt like I was in a cockpit of a plane
@@KylePancis 30 states!! Wow. Saab was always way ahead of the competition. Funny how all of the competition are Turbo charging 4 cylinders now!!🤔 The list goes on. Variable Valve Timing to work with any octane to prevent knocking or pinging, Direct Ignition coils, fancy Break Distribution ABS! That's just from memory! Not to mention packing 3 bicycles easily inside!Heck, my '06 S60R, which is great can't run on anything but Hi octane or the engine light comes on?🤷
This should be interesting.... The rivalry between Volvo and Saab, it was fantastic. I'm not a Saab guy, I'm infact a Volvo purest, but losing Saab was a major blow against the Swedish car industri and i the whole (Swedish) demestic industry is and will never be the same. Also the exhaust manifold/turbo should be in the of the engine (especially on Volvo's,) not in the front! (Yes i'm that much of a purist).
Klas Peppar you felt the rivalry when I go to trollhättan with the Volvo to tune it at Autotech. Back then 2004-2005 it was likely to se race between the lights in Trollhättan downtown.
@@karlsundbeck1028 I wish I would have got to see that. I think I (a 5 year back then) would have loved to see that. I personally think that the early 2000's was the golden age of the Svenska bil industrin. Saab 95 Aero Hirsh vs Volvo V70N R the greatest battle the Swedish car industry has seen.
Klas Peppar its was crazy cars was racing in mid day its was fun. Check out the Swedish show. It’s on UA-cam v70R vs 95 hirsch. The price on the Saab was crazy.
It was a major blow to the automotive world when we lost Saab. We lost the last if the little guys who built fun, fast, and unique cars. As long as people like him, me, and others keep these brilliant cars alive, Saab will never truly die.
Saab convertibles look nice but it is a very bendy chassis. You can watch the door gaps changing when you go along. The earlier 900 of this shape had issues with the bulkheads splitting down the middle due to stress. Nice cruzer but shite in corners and bumpy roads.
Find one of your Jersey buds with an Aero and drive it. (The V-6, please.) My 06 9-3 Aero Wagon is ridiculous fun! Torque up the rear..... ...more fun than adults should be allowed and freakin' dirt cheap. I love it!!
I have a V70 T5, and I think the turbo placement is very good, there is air flowing around it . There aren't many premature turbo deaths on these engines, which can't be said for the Saab. And why would you want 'good access' to the turbocharger? Normally you don't have to maintain it anyway.
What wagon would you prefer in order? Volvo v50 turbo, Volvo V70r 2007, Saab 9-5 2005, or Saab 9-3 turbo Awd 2011? And why? For me, Saab 9-3 turbo awd Volvo v50 Saab 9-5 then volvo v70r. I have the v50 currently and love it.
Well we have a viggen, an 850T and a 535is so we're covered all ways. Never occurred to me to remove the heat shield but I just got my Viggen back 2 days ago with new Wossners so I'll be looking into this!
I love Saab cars, I've owned 5. Im thinking about getting the V60 T6 Inscription. Its a sweet Swedish luxury with all the technology and awesome Bowers sound system.
I don't know how it is in the US but in Germany you get Saabs so cheap, it is insane. I'd really like to have one, but the only thing that's kinda off putting to me is the exterior of some Saab's that just looks weird to me.
Good job. I restored a 2000 9-3SE convertible that was ready for the junk yard. You nailed the sludge issue. See my PCV system rebuild on my 316 Automotive channel. Maury
Daisy Henry before I bought it, the car was missing it’s key and because normally a new Saab key cost about 6-800 hundred dollars but I call a locksmith who charged me 350 and I talked down the owner to $400 because of it, so in total I spent 750, 4 hundred for the car n 350 for the key 🤫
C900, before they jump up more in price, a 9-3 2.8 Aero, or a Dame Edna 9-5 Aero. If you have a bunch of cash, go 99 Viggen, 9-3X, 9-3 Turbo X, or NG 9-5 Aero. But if you really want a unicorn, find you a 9-4X Aero.
OK.., just bought for $2700 an 01' 9 3 convert, SE, 146 k, but all replaced as new, all as almost new... 5 speed.., original paint as new, always stored winters, zero rust in freakin Maine winters.... my OTHER car is a 95 850 Volvo turbo wagon with 265k, drives as new.., looks new..., will be interesting to see the battle of the Swedes in my driveway. That 850 TurboWagon is a cult beast in Euro, true supercar.., we shall see how the 9 3 compares.
WOW looks like mine but mine is a 1995 Saab 900S convertible with a 2.3 same color interior just the outside of mine is red with a black top. Great cars.
IMO After owning one Saab G2 900 and two 9000, to a married man, the 9000 2.3 with a turbo, in any form, auto or manual, CD CC and esp the latter years' CS, can get a family from a single couple to a full two kid family. The 2.3 CSE is esp easy to mod from 170 bhp to 230, and 270 tops, with ECU remapping, a change in the turbo air control flap and la voilà, une nouvelle voiture!
Well done indeed! Most impressed at the effort to get the Saab back on the road. Most interesting to learn about the sludging issue, as I believe it also happens in the engine in the 9-5, but not so much if at all in the engine in the 9000?
Someone want my 1999 93 vert 5speed? Lol come to Minnesota and put her on the road again, she had a headgasket blow and seize cylinder 4 😭 no time to do everything I'd want to for a performance rebuild.
I do an oil change every 2-3 month for my 97 900SE Turbo & just add some oil to top off during the 3 months, one time i accidentally filled to the top of the top so i had to leave the saab on for 15 minutes forit just to drink some
Saab made the best looking affordable convertibles ever get alot for the money there rare collectable now prices are going up for decent used examples 😎✌️
Good cars but you really need to do your homework before committing to buying one. Checking for timing chain noise, blown seals, oil sludge, pcv upgrades. These things can be a complete money pit. They can be had for almost no money here in Sweden. They are everywhere, but many have utterly nackered engines
Ok so now Stallbacka and Trollhättan like you as well. You should check out the Lightyear One electric car. They borrowed the classic SAAB design language on the exterior.
Hey Kyle, I really like your videos on Saab. I actually have Saab 2001 9-5 2.3 turbo. It runs pretty smooth but would need a genuine look at my engine. Would be possible to link up for this to happen? I’m in New Haven, CT.
bigtreesfall Get one, you won`t regret it! I started with a Saab as featured in this video, but electric blue with beige leather & manual gearbox,7 have progressed up to the 2 on my drive today....2006 93 Aero convertible 6 speed manual & 2008 sedan 93 Aero TTiD auto... i have only had one problem over all these years... the TTiD cracked it`s inlet manifold (common on these as they have a hardened plastic water cooled manifold?!) apart from that they`ve all been a total joy to own, looks, performance, & for me, reliability. The Saab guru`s at Abbott Racing who did the manifold on the TTiD said regular oil changes with fully synthetic to protect the turbos as these engines run at high temperatures & driving the pants off them whenever you can... & they will love you for it... mine do!
The only probably you'll have with car if you take care of it, is torque steer, go take a 5/6 speed saab to a Walmart parking lot & figure 8 around it until you can catch the spool it'll practically drift
it's totally worth owning a Saab, but I always make the point of not recommending anyone other than Saab enthusiast to own these cars. My point is strictly mathematical: unless you do the work yourself, by far, the cost outweighs the benefit. Most people are better off paying the $189 bucks to lease a Civic for 36mo. They'll spend far far less in costs and get to drive a new car. and with the gas savings in driving a Civic you actually only spend 10 payments per year comparing to an old-er 9-3. AND if you own a biz and can write the lease off, that's another couple of payments back in your taxes, so your real-dollar leasing cost on a brand new Civic comes down to about 126 bucks per month.
Yeah, swap out that 4l oil pan for a 5l... make sure also that you have a working pcv on it. Thats why these engines die... If i remember correctly the 9000 had an 5l oil pan.
The PCV is not the issue. It'll drive like shit long before a defective PCV system is any danger to the engine. Have you actually tried to put a large sump on a 9-3? Originally, there's less than an inch between the second cat and the sump. You can't remove the OEM sump without unbolting the motor.
@@richsackett3423 All these issues started when Saab changed the oil pan from 5liters to 4liters. Before that Saabs achilles heel was the gearboxes on the turbo models.
Loved the video and review, was completely interested the whole time in a completely stock Saab😂 but would love to have seen some camera roll on the interior when you were talking about the dash! Keep up the good vids!
As some said in the comment section here. You Need to drive an 00'ish saab 9-5 thats a completly different Car. the 9-3 is a short stroke with Pretty lot of turbolag and the 9-5 with the 2.3l is a long stroke which you can drive almost like a diesel.
Me: need a car... Friend:R U trying a SAAB??? Me: what is SAAB??? Friend: Spanish manufacturers😂🤣makes 9000 pretty good cars Me: driving my third 9-5 in 2021 with smiley face... thanks Robin
I own the 2003 Saab convertible just got it I need help putting it together it runs but I'm having trouble getting motor mounts and it also need ball joints and voices and shocks they trying to charge me $2,000 for the shocks there's anybody at the inside world that can walk me through this process I would really appreciate it because I love that car already
Buddy buddy wait until you get a load off a turbo Aero convertible it'll blow your socks off and the sound is orgasmic and we are still talking about a Saab you can't beat the arrows sports look sleek new power sound you name it it's got it
How is that a real Saab, when it's based on the GM platform? It's sibling is the Opel Vectra and Saturn L. When you open the hood, everything is familiar with Opel. Since the launch of the 900 in 1994,there is no real Saab. Under the sheet metal it's GM.
Trying to rebuild my 9000...Goldwing is a life saver...but parts are not as easy as rebuilding a fucking big block hahaha but Saabparts and eeruo are a go too....cant get much from brick and mortar auto parts in stock....everything is gonna be an order
I just picked up a 2006 93 with the 2.8l back in November. Best $3200 dollars tax and title I had ever spent. Only 104,750 miles at time of purchase. Only 2 things I would change. X wheel drive and manual. Other than that. I'm sold on saabs
The Saab convertible is not a Swedish car 😂 the convertible is build in Finland. The Saab feels quick because high boost. If you compare 850 t5 and Saab 9000 aero both car have 225hp but the Volvo have 0.4bar on the turbo and the Saab have 0.9 bar. So the aero feels faster.
Viggen stock is 290hp. The se model has 195hp stock and cant push more than 230 on the garret gt17 turbo. With the tdo4‐15t from an aero you cant push but 290 tops reliably
Modern Volvos feel dead inside. They seem to have lost their Swedish soul. It's like the old saying. "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
GM lied to SAAB in Sweden for many years. They promise them to expand their market in the North America and in 2000 they bought them completely out. However, they took all their SAAB research and innovation mainly from the previous Saab 900 and soon after bankrupt them. Mainly not to have SAAB competition on the market anymore. This SAAB 9-3 shown in this video had over 2000 modification from the previous SAAB 900 ant it is was made with many US and North American parts. This means it had garbage parts comparing to original SAAB cars made is Sweden and Finland. This is very sad story how Americans do the car business with a small very reputable company abroad. Don't trust ever GM cars and their manufacturing practices Stay away from GM cars if you can.
Bought an 06 9-3 Linear two years ago for £800. Only had three problems in that time. Broken rear spring (due to hitting a pothole), seized brake caliper, and “CIM failure” which turned out to be a flat battery. Car is heading for 150,000 miles and is far more reliable than our VW transporter van, which cost way more to purchase and keep on the road. Maybe I got lucky with mine, at the moment it feels like I’ll get another 50,000 miles out of it yet 🤞

Great story,
My 19 yr old daughter bought herself a used 5-door Viggen while she still had her N driver's license a month before turning 18.
Fantastic car the viggen!
Another Viggen owner from the UK here. Convertible, new engine fitted. Stage three tune. Currently in the south of France she drove down here with no issues. Goes like a scalded cat.....
@@johnsvideotimelapses amazing!!
Kari K. Waaay late here, but if you catch this, it's nice to see another Saab girl. Although I love my lil' base '99 9-3 CV, and I'm looking forward to a stage-1 Maptun before "Blue" hits 100k, I'm envious of your Viggen.
How to keep your SAAB 9-3 from sludging:
@@richsackett3423 Hi, thanks for all your help mate. I honestly would never have thought this would help with the sludge. Cheers
I own a 2004 9-3 convertible 2.0 liter turbo and it’s my favorite car I’ve owned so far it’s sad they don’t make Saab’s anymore
Hey there. North Jersey guy here as well! Picked up.a 97 Saab 900 se turbo convertible 5 speed. Paid1500 had a ton of work done and love it!!
I've just upgraded the turbo on my 2001 saab 93 to the td04hl15t and it totally insane now. The way it puts the power down is completely mental
😀
Steven Thompson haha I‘ve done to same to my 2.0t 2003 9-5! It‘s epic XD with the ECU upgrade it has 250hp and (I think) 350NM

I just bought a 2007 9-3 (12 years old) with only 23K miles. Perfect!
Sounds about right! Always saabing. But it seems to be rewarding when you get it on the road haha
Saab 9000 . That was my first Saab.
Loved that car. I felt like a millionaire in it. White and MINT condition . Bought in 2003 . For $1200 bucks. Then sold it y months later for $2800 . With just oil changes. Lmao. Awsome.

The only thing that nearly sent my 2000 9-3SE vert to junk yard is the driver seat belt assembly.

Upgrades & condition checks

Good cars but you really need to do your homework before committing to buying one. Checking for timing chain noise, blown seals, oil sludge, pcv upgrades. These things can be a complete money pit. They can be had for almost no money here in Sweden. They are everywhere, but many have utterly nackered engines
Ok so now Stallbacka and Trollhättan like you as well. You should check out the Lightyear One electric car. They borrowed the classic SAAB design language on the exterior.

bigtreesfall ask me I have five :D
bigtreesfall Get one, you won`t regret it!

I drove a Saab 9 3 once and fucking loved it.
it's totally worth owning a Saab, but I always make the point of not recommending anyone other than Saab enthusiast to own these cars. AND if you own a biz and can write the lease off, that's another couple of payments back in your taxes, so your real-dollar leasing cost on a brand new Civic comes down to about 126 bucks per month.
your spot on!

I just picked up a 2006 93 with the 2.8l back in November. Best $3200 dollars tax and title I had ever spent. Only 104,750 miles at time of purchase. Only 2 things I would change. X wheel drive and manual. Other than that. I'm sold on saabs
360p?
You’re so early that YT hasn’t fully processed higher def yet 😂
ShiftingLanes definition of notification squad 😂😂😂😂😂
North Jersey... yo what’s up jersey
TSA: "what's in the backpack son?"
Kyle: "Well, it's a Saab turbo, sir."
TSA: Righttt!
How many terrorist smuggle turbos!?
The Saab convertible is not a Swedish car 😂 the convertible is build in Finland. The Saab feels quick because high boost. If you compare 850 t5 and Saab 9000 aero both car have 225hp but the Volvo have 0.4bar on the turbo and the Saab have 0.9 bar. So the aero feels faster.
0.4bar is when your tbc valve is broken on volvo. T5 is a high pressure turbo. Also one extra cylinder compared to Saab...
Baseball cap alert.
Rest of the world ,run, don't look back.
Lolwat?
Viggen stock is 290hp. The se model has 195hp stock and cant push more than 230 on the garret gt17 turbo. With the tdo4‐15t from an aero you cant push but 290 tops reliably
It should be 205 bhp not 210
A swede here driving a Cadillac Cts 😅
I love saab's best cars, personally volvo is shit
But there are some great volvo cars out there as well, that really intersts me. However i'd choose Saab any day
Modern Volvos feel dead inside. They seem to have lost their Swedish soul. It's like the old saying.
"You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
@@CardboardSliver great technology. wish the leather and the comfort was so "bmw" lol
I just bought a Saab! Sold my Volvo for a Saab! And it was my first time too! I love it tho. 2008 9-3 SportCombi.
fantastic ride! Good luck with it
GM lied to SAAB in Sweden for many years.

“It’s all Saab” ...no, it’s not...it’s based on a GM platform ...
First?
SAAB should have stuck to making aeroplanes, their cars were/are unreliable.
WTF is an "aeroplane"? You must be old or dumb or both.
You need to up your meds Rich, you're on the way to a heart attack.
